This charming, rustic two-bedroom, one-bathroom log cabin is located on Birch Lake near Elk Rapids. It's an ideal vacation spot for a small family or a couple. All-sports Birch Lake is a beautiful sky blue color with a sandy bottom. The main area of the home consists of an open living room, kitchen, and dining space.

The porch outside is perfect for enjoying morning coffee and invites relaxation. The yard is spacious enough for kids and dogs to play. Additionally, there's a dock, shared waterfront and water toys, along with other water attractions.

This property is conveniently close to the Great Lakes Equestrian Horse Show, Turtle Creek Casino, and Elk Rapids. Traverse City is just a short 15-minute drive away.

One well-behaved dog is allowed, but owners must clean up after their pet.

Need more space? Rent one or both of the other Trick's Resort cottages: Trick's Lodge and Yellow Cottage.

It was a very nice and relaxing place to stay for three nights with our dog. Shower knob was missing, but my husband figured it out so I could take a shower. Had a great day renting a pontoon boat in Elk Rapids.

I added little just now tooWhen I arrived I called as the place was hard to find and did not look like the photos one bit.The lock box is in the back - in a covered cement room that has holes in the screens so it's quite buggy.There are 2 adult size rusty chairs and 2 little kid size on the deck.There is dim lighting throughout, bring a light if you want to get ready and a mirror.Cobwebs were in the room with the big bed which I think housekeeping should take care of. There was also some broken odd rectangle thing propped on the wall, still unsure of what that was or why it's there.The shower was rusty, the knob is a stick you have to push hard to move and I think the stains are rust but not sure. The well water has a smell in there also.There are two bedrooms but no ceilings above them so you can hear everything between the bedrooms.The cost does NOT match the experience.It is on the lake but there is an overgrown burm so you have to walk through some weeds if you want to get to the lake from the house directly. I think the dock may have been shared but it was hard to tell and it was in use so we did not try it.Overall, we were so disappointed between what we spent, what we thought and what we had to stay in.BRING dish soap -they give a little one and we bought paper goods but there is no dishwasher and they want you to wash all your dishes and put them away.We brought Clorox wipes and wiped down all the door knobs, sinks, and counters as there was some stickines

Rustic cabin with lots of old furniture. Internet worked great, beds were comfortable. The setting is incredibly peaceful with a stunning view of the water. This cottage is a step back in time, so bring your books and cards to entertain yourselves. I appreciated the time to step away from the TV. In addition, there are lots of places to visit in the area. Elk Rapids is a quaint town that offers a great place for families to visit and enjoy the big lake.
