"I'm dreaming of a cozy little cottage, tucked away near stunning parkland. I don’t need much—just the essentials: a comfortable bed, a bathroom, a small kitchen for preparing meals, and maybe a screened porch where I can sit outside and soak in the surroundings. A non-smoking, pet-free space is a must, and a small campfire would be the perfect touch for unwinding under the stars. I've heard Mentone is a hidden gem, a true escape into nature, and that sounds exactly like what I want. The thought is exciting—does such a place exist?
And if there’s a water feature, like a small pond for fishing, that would be even better."

It's always a delight to stay at Mountain Meadow--Bobbie and Ray and very responsive, the house is always clean and cozy, and it's such a peaceful and relaxing location!

Very cozy & private. Extremely quiet. We enjoyed walking around the pond and sitting on the bench. In the afternoon it was very pleasant watching the sunset on the back screened in porch. The cottage was very clean.And Ray and Bobbie were very attentive to our needs.

This cozy little cottage had everything for a great time away for our anniversary. Quiet area with everything you need for meal prep. The hosts thought of everything to make for a comfortable stay. It was a great relaxing experience and we will be back.

Nice Couple Getaway

Cute Cottage

This Cottage was so quaint and cute for a couple looking for a peaceful retreat! We were 10 minutes from DeSoto and Little River Falls! It was gorgeous and Bobbi and Ray were great to communicate with! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for Couples

This property was a cozy cottage with everything you need for a weekend getaway. We were greeted by the friendlist of dogs while entering the grounds. The cottage was well stocked and also a few treats left by the owners. We will definitely return.

Gorgeous little get away

The interior of this little bit away was absolutely amazing we had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the area. Wish there had been a little more seclusion but the inside of the property made up for anything lacking. The host was also very accommodating and friendly.

So quiet and peaceful

Wonderful, private rental with beautiful, wooded surroundings. Different than Mountain View rentals, but wonderful!! Beautiful meadow off screened porch with thousands of lightning bugs at night. Very comfortable bed and updated cabin. Would definitely stay again!

Unexpected gem

The property was an unexpected hidden delight. We picked the property because we really love staying in the area, and our usual places were taken. The Wilderness was an awesome place to stay, and the nearby hiking trails were an added bonus.

The property borders the Little River Canyon National Preserve, and DeSoto State Park. Bring hiking boots and a swimsuit - Shigley Hole is just a 15 minute hike down our trails.
