Church View Apartment is a stylish Cotswold holiday home located in the heart of the vibrant market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, just a stone's throw away from the main market square and the country's oldest pub, The Porch House. Sleeping four guests, in two well-appointed bedrooms, with a modern family bathroom, the apartment perfectly blends traditional features with contemporary decor. The main living areas are located on the first floor, with a spacious living room and a well-equipped kitchen/dining room which opens onto a tranquil roof terrace with outdoor seating and a cosy firepit, an ideal spot for a morning coffee.

This two bedroom holiday cottage in Stow-on-the-Wold is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Ground Floor
The front door opens into the entrance hall, from which stairs lead into the spacious living room

First Floor

Sitting room
A bright and sunny aspect room, with exposed wooden beams and wooden floors. Amenities include a three-seater sofa, arm chair, Smart TV and a small selection of books

Kitchen/dining room
Providing direct access to the tranquil roof terrace, the well-equipped kitchen contains an electric induction oven with electric ring hob, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing/dryer and a glass dining table with seating for four

Second Floor

Master bedroom (Sleeps 2)
A stylish room with plenty of natural light, double bed, wall mounted Smart TV, full-length free-standing mirror, hair dryer, fan, built-in wardrobes and overhead storage

Bedroom 2 (Sleeps 2)
A well presented bedroom which contains a double bed, built-in wardrobes, chest of drawers and a dressing table

Family bathroom
A modern bathroom with high ceilings and a skylight. This room contains a bath with overhead shower, loo, basin and heated towel rail

Outside
The roof top terrace is accessed via the kitchen/dining room, a perfect space to relax and unwind after a day spent exploring the Cotswold. This area contains a table with seating for four and a fire pit for chilly evenings

The smoke detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk
No smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property

The maximum occupancy for this property is 4 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to heath and safety only 1 baby not yet walking is allowed
Regrettably, children under the age of 10 are not permitted, excluding 1 baby in arms. This is due to the apartment having been designed very much with adults in mind
Events are not permitted without prior consent

Check in is from 17:00 and check out is by 10:00
The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, typically on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, however, we would recommend checking the exact date ahead of placing your booking. This is a traditional fair for gypsies and travelling people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted. Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed. Whilst many visitors enjoy the colour and vibrancy associated with the fairs, other visitors prefer to avoid Stow on these dates

Comfortable apartment
Overall we had a great stay in this very comfortable apartment. The terrace is lovely and a great asset. It was well located with a lovely view of the church. Unfortunately the oven wasn’t working and we did let the team know, fortunately Stow has many great places to eat. A few changes would be really helpful. Some baking trays as cooking tricky without them. More mugs (only 4) would be great and perhaps a refresh of the crockery, lots of chips. The shower head needs replacing as it was cracked and leaked. Blind in one of the bedrooms was broken. Not having a freezer wasn’t a major problem for us but might be worth being explicit about this in the description. Overall a good stay with a few easily resolved issues to make it even better. It’s a great apartment, comfortable with a lovely view.

Gorgeous apartment
This apartment was stunning and in the most perfect location to explore the village. Parking was pretty easy in the market square if you’re out exploring for the main part of the day and it’s just a short drive to get to other villages. There was a bus that stops a minutes walk from the property but I’m unsure how regular as we didn’t use them. Very clean apartment that has been furnished so beautifully. It’s worth noting there isn’t a freezer, and upon checking the website, we realised there never claims to be one but we hadn’t seen that and found out upon arrival. It could also do with some baking trays to cook in the oven. But apart from that we had everything we could’ve needed and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

Excellent location
Located just off the main square opposite the church. Apartment is above a shop which is only open weekdays 9-5. Milk and cookies provided which is a nice touch, small kitchen and lounge on first level with two good size bedrooms upstairs. Only criticism would be there is only one set of keys which was tricky.

Cosy apartment, conveniently located
A cosy apartment - best for only a couple perhaps. No problems parking in the square. Excellent kitchen, good storage space and size of sitting room. Liked the roof terrace . Lighting could be better and maybe the bathroom could do with a bit of updating..
