Gerry’s Cottage is a cheerful cosy cottage believed to have been constructed some 150 years ago for the stone masons who worked on nearby All Saints Church. The cottage is small but perfectly formed and includes lots of characterful quirks throughout. Enjoy the fabulous log burner for those cosy nights in or perhaps enjoy the local pub which is only a few mins away. Guests can also enjoy two outdoor spaces to the front and rear of the cottage. Sleeps 3. One dog welcome. Pet fee of £35 applies
Upon entering the cottage, the lovely exposed wooden floorboards and wood burning stove sets the scene for the rest of the style of the property. Outside, the cottage boasts a sunny and private garden full of mature shrubs and bushes. Why not enjoy your morning coffee in this suntrap?
To the rear, a communal staircase accessed from both Gerry’s and the cottage next door leads to the garden which is split into two level platforms. Climb up the 30 steps (most with handrail) and Gerry’s Cottage has the sole use of the very top garden with its limestone wall perimeter. The garden enjoys a lovely open outlook with views of All Saints Church tower to the left, and across town to the fields at Summercourt to the right.

Famous for fishing, art and those colourful houses lining the harbour, Brixham is one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK and is home to some of the finest sea food you can think of, but it isn’t just about fishing. Brixham is also rife with art and culture and has several unique attractions suitable for the whole family.
Brixham is a great destination for art lovers, the town has a great range of art galleries that feature local artists as well as showcasing visiting installations. On the Strand, you’ll even have the opportunity to see artists working.
The town also boasts a museum and tours around the coast so you can get a real taste of its maritime heritage. Brixham is the home of the Golden Hind replica, a recreation of Sir Francis Drake’s flagship. Visitors can experience life on board and explore all five decks, it’s a great exhibition for kids learning about the Tudors or for adults who want to find out a bit more about the UK’s history.
Being a fishing port, you can expect a great choice of seafood restaurants with many independent, local establishments offering menus made from fresh local produce. It isn’t all fish though, Brixham’s restaurants and cafes are also supplied by an excellent selection of butchers and green grocers. You’ll be spoilt for choice!
