This apartment could hardly be more central, a half block from the Seine, just across the river and 1 block from Notre Dame, and walkable to everything. The apartment is cute, with classic wood beam ceilings, nice tile floors, and a comfortable bed. The bathrooms are nicely done with attractive tiles. The negatives for us were that i) the heat stopped working on the second of our 9 days, and though someone came to verify that it was in fact completely broken, nothing happened after that. Mercifully it was unseasonably warm when we were there, and the apartment seems to collect heat from al the other apartments it is surrounded by, so it was liveable. But the failure to respond for several days after the technician said the heating was broken and after I already reported the same, was not acceptable. ii) Although the apartment has big windows the glass is ground so you cannot see out of them, which gives the apartment a bit of a cavelike feel. iii) The coffee technology was inadequate, with a device that uses something akin to a tea bag and makes awful coffee, we had to buy our own. Other than these three negatives, we enjoyed our stay.
