The apartment is sweet, and with lots of Parisian charm (ah, the old elevator! the windows, wall molding, wood floors, etc.). The host's mom waited (so long) to help us in (I couldn't figure out the intercom), and showed us around the flat. They had left a few snacks in the frigo (Note: no freezer, for you ice-loving peeps) as well as a delicious bottle of wine. Convenient to several shops. We used the 72 bus and the Ranelagh metro stop the most.
We were three -- a grandmother and two teenage grandchildren, so the number of beds (one double, two singles) worked well.
Two things to point out: 1)There is construction going on in both courtyards (all the windows face a courtyard), which was a bit unnerving (a guy popped up a ladder just outside the kitchen window as I stood at the sink facing it!) but not very loud, and not before 8 am😉. and 2), for US folk, in France a bathroom doesn't necessarily have a toilet , so I was mistaken (teenagers in mind) in thinking 1+1/2 baths = 2 toilets. Non. There is a nice little bathroom with a tub (very high sides, btw, French style) and a WC in the hall. Nevertheless, it worked out fine for us. My first time "hanging out" in the 16th, so that was a bonus. Yes, I'd rebook here. Thanks, Eva and Clara.
