Mr. Pink's is an original 1960 Mid Century Modern "Alexander" holiday house designed by famed architects Palmer and Krisel and built by the Alexander Construction Company.This newly completed restoration rehab is perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather of Palm Springs and relaxing with panoramic views of the San Jacinto mountains.This three bedroom home makes for a perfectly sized getaway with an expansive private backyard that has a heated pool, gas BBQ, fire pit, ping pong table, mini golf & corn hole. The home is extensively open and airy, the characteristic MCM clearstory and floor to ceiling windows bathe the main living areas in an abundance of natural light, a predominant design feature of the Palm Springs indoor//outdoor lifestyle.

NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW

Located in the heart of Historic Racquet Club Estates, the home is within walking distance to many parks, the aerial tramway and just a 5 minutes from downtown Palm Springs. The grocery store is 2 minutes away. You are close to lots of vintage shopping and all the shops and restaurants the downtown has to offer. Hop over to El Paseo if you were wanting to buy a Gucci bag or stop into BLT to get a rare vintage designer bag. You are 15 minutes from Desert Hot Springs and 40 minutes from La Quinta. The Farmer’s Market is just 5 minutes away and is every Saturday. The Vintage Market is every second Sunday of the month.

GUEST ACCESS

Guest will have access to the entire home, pool, and yard, all of which are private.

PARKING

We may have two parking spaces available on our private driveway and additional parking for one vehicle on the street.

GETTING AROUND

The airport is a 5 minute drive, Uber or Lyft. You can also rent an exotic car or convertible on Turo and cruise around with the top down.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

The BANGTEL Team will be available for assistance via email and phone before, during, and after your stay. Access codes will be sent to you 24 hours prior to check-in.

Clean, Adorable House

This listing was clean, well stocked and easy to find. Also, the Bangel team was very attentive and fantastic to coordinate with - their service went above and beyond. They even helped us schedule last minute massages which were amazing! One thing we didn’t realize was that the house actually just has one bathroom - there is no wall separating the two bathrooms which are side by side; just a shower curtain. We didn’t get that impression when booking based on the pictures and it was a little uncomfortable since this was a trip with multiple couples. Otherwise, the grill worked great and we all had a fun, relaxing trip!

Palm Springs Fantasy!

What a wonderful property! The perfect base for a stunning Palm Springs vacation. The pool and backyard were an oasis and with the pool heated, we got to swim morning, day, and night. The unique bathroom was also so much fun, especially with access directly from the pool area. Was so fun to watch movies on the projector, and just relax in the stylish and airy space. Will definitely be staying at this property again! Check in process and access to host was super smooth!

Had a terrific week at Mr. Pink. Kitchen and living space great for a family. Very clean. Pool and yard ideal as ample space allows plenty of play options and fire pit great for post dinner cocktail. Bathroom is quirky with two bathtubs side by each which is apparently a MCM design thing. Hosts were terrific communicators. Thumbs up! Shane

A Perfect Palm Springs Getaway!

I booked this property twice, once on another site and another on VRBO, since the stay dates were a little cheaper there. First and second time around, this place never disappointed. I have stayed in a lot of Palm Springs rentals over the years and this one is definitely fantastically cared for. You can tell when a rental a little “used” and this is a brand new rehab, which was meticulously executed. Communication was on point, the place and pool were immaculate. Close to downtown Palm Springs (5 min drive or 10 min bike ride).
