This was advertised as a “Lakefront property”. It definitely is not. It’s not close to anything without driving there. It’s in a somewhat decent neighborhood. Didn’t realize I would be “sharing” the driveway. Also, the second night I came back from a concert to find the driveway blocked by 5 cars, 3 cars on the lawn and a group of teenagers extremely drunk. I definitely did not feel safe staying in the efficiency that was behind the house that was being rented by a young man who had at least eight people drinking celebrating their birthdays. So I didn’t even spend the second night there.
I never received an email with my check in information. When I called to tell Alex this he said he “forgot” to send it. I also believe he “forgot” to have the place cleaned prior to my getting there. The stove was disgusting. Dirty towels in the bathroom. The carpet needed to be vacuumed and there were stains on the walls. There are no curtains on the windows and the shades are too short to cover the windows so at sunrise I was awoken by the bright sunlight blaring through the inadequate shades. In the early afternoon it started pouring outside, they have a gutter that drains right outside the door to the efficiency. There was a huge puddle I had to walk through to get out of the fence. Nothing about this way enjoyable. I would not stay here again. Very disappointed.
