Buck Run On Balsam Ridge is a stunning mountain retreat near Downtown Waynesville, NC. Enjoy local attractions and outdoor activities, including fly fishing, tubing and hiking. In the summer, guests can swim in the pool or relax in the hot tub with a beautiful mountain view. The log cabin offers privacy and yard space for outdoor fun, and in the winter, cozy up and unwind by the fireplace.
Note: Pool is not open year-round as this is weather-permitting. Pool is generally closed September 27th through May 1. Per homeowner "Pool company will vacuum clean and treat pool FOR BIWEEKLY SERVICE, every other Monday. Pools are very rare in Waynesville with limited pool service companies. However being a salt treated pool it is safe to use between service calls.

Please note that our property boasts a beautiful pool for guests to enjoy during the warmer months, this amenity is open seasonally and weather dependant.
Pools are a rare amenity in this area, so we kindly ask for your understanding that we do our best to keep the pool clean and well-maintained.
Our pool is serviced biweekly to ensure it is in top swimming condition.
However, due to the natural elements, leaves and debris may accumulate in between service calls. Guests are welcome to use the pool net to remove any debris they may find, ensuring a clean and enjoyable swimming experience.
Being a saltwater pool, our pool is typically safe to swim in between service calls. We strive to keep the pool in optimum condition for our guests to enjoy.

Beautiful Home

Loved the home so much. It was tucked away in a semi private place, which I really enjoyed. The hot tub and the porch were just wonderful during the fall of the year.

Lodging met our needs for a long stay

Lodging had a well stocked kitchen and a large common/dining area, which made it easy to prepare any kind of meals and relax over meals. Gas grill was a nice touch. Easy to control the heating system, which was nice as it was quite chilly when we visited. Outside property was nice for a quick walk, which we appreciated. Note: Has 2.5 bathrooms, not 3 as were listed when we made our reservations. Not a problem for us, since the other 2 full bathrooms were all that the 3 of us needed. Convenient to Waynesville and very easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Smoky Mtn National Park. Property managers were very responsive and took care of any questions promptly and politely. Beware, that the neighborhood can be quite noisy in the evenings due to one of the neighbors having some loud motorcycles which were revved loudly for 10-15 minutes at a time and ridden around for a couple of hours most evenings until around 9:00. Wasn't peaceful sitting on the porch once that started, so we just went inside to relax.
