The Eagles Nest - just a 5 minute walk to the beach!

Our vacation home is the perfect combination of all the comforts of home amongst the beauty of the wild outdoors. Once you drive into the gate you will be greeted by the calls of the bald eagles. Head upstairs and you will find a full size deck with a bbq and outdoor furniture to lounge by the gas fire table. Enter the carriage house and be delighted by the eclectic furnishings and the extremely comfortable beds. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your delicious meals from the local bounty. Take a stroll in our rural neighborhood and you will soon find yourself at Point Holmes Recreation Area where you can take a swim or drop your boat in the ocean. Kye Bay is a short 5 minute drive away and has a wonderful beach for walking or swimming (also great for kids). If sitting outside amongst the stars and roasting marshmallows is your idea of a perfect evening, you will also have access to a fire pit to use in your personal backyard. If you enjoy winter sports, Mt. Washington Alpine Resort is a 40 minute drive door to door. There is so much to do here year round in The Comox Valley. Come and enjoy our oasis amongst the trees! The Eagles Nest is a gorgeous place to stay. The peaceful location is very relaxing, and the comforts of the furnishings make you not want to leave. The home is perfectly maintained. Can see why the hosts are very proud of The Eagles Nest. Thank you Natalie for everything!

Indoor & outdoor retreat

We stayed to play in a hockey tournament. Lots of space for 4 adults and a teen. We cooked in the kitchen as a family. And the jewel was sitting outside on the covered deck with the fire table going! Short walk to the beach, lots of eagles and deer to view. The area was quiet in the evening, very relaxing.

Great host, amazing home, beautiful area.

My family (4) and I stayed here and had a great experience. Everything from the small touches to being in a beautiful forest near the ocean and a short driving distance to town and provincial parks made the stay memorable. Natalie, our host, was very responsive and helpful throughout. We'd definitely love to stay here again when we return to the Comox area.

I am originally from the wine country region of Northern California. I do enjoy good wine and great food but I also love walks in nature, riding road bikes and dancing Zumba. I also love to travel (although these days I prefer to be at home)!

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

My husband and I recently moved to The Comox Valley. We chose Point Holmes because we found our dream home here. The bonus was that the property already had an active VRBO rental (formerly called The Point Holmes Carriage House). We love the proximity to the ocean and the mountains (we are alpine skiers). We also love the privacy of being tucked back a little from the street and being surrounded by the trees.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

We are still in awe of our beautiful surroundings. When we walk outside we can hear the bald eagles calling out over head and the sound of the wind in the trees. When we go outside we feel all the elements, the wind, rain, sunshine and breeze of the ocean on our skin. The house sits on 2.83 acres. It feels very spacious and people have commented that it is a park like setting.
