Casa Sole, an elegant apartment for rent in Florence by Mmega

Casa Sole is located in a nice area of the historic center of Florence a few steps from the Central Market and the Fortezza da Basso. The apartment is very welcoming and well finished: we are sure that certain details such as the parquet floors and the moldings on the walls will conquer you too!

The house consists of a beautiful living area where we find an elegant living room with dining table, sofa and TV and a very functional and equipped kitchen overlooking the main room; the sleeping area consists of two adorable double bedrooms (one with two single beds and one with a double bed). The property includes two bathrooms and a beautiful balcony overlooking a quiet internal courtyard. Casa Sole is equipped with Wi-Fi internet, air conditioning and everything you need to cook and stay as if you were at home.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of the apartment did not meet your expectations. Regarding the bathrooms, we would like to clarify that they are described correctly in the listing. We would also like to clarify that the property does not advertise an elevator. The apartment is located on an upper floor and access is via the stairs, as indicated in the property information. We appreciate your comments regarding the refrigerator and air conditioning and will take these into consideration as we continue to maintain and improve the property. Thank you again for your feedback and for helping us clarify these points for future guests.

Check in time was 2:00 PM. We arrived at 5:00 PM and the rental wasn’t ready. The concierge open the door for us, turned the AC on and asked us to come back within 1 hour while the 1 person cleaning the unit finished. When we came back, the stove , oven, or washer weren’t working. We contacted the concierge who said to turn on and off all switches and breaker. We did but still not working. We contacted the concierge again but they texted us to contact some consumer assistance phone number. We are on vacation and expecting all appliances to work and have no time to wait for a maintenance technician to come out. So we weren’t able to have coffee in the morning or use the washer machine. They said they have 2 bathrooms but that is not correct, 1 “bathroom” had a toilet and a sink. The other space was a converted closet where the shower was and a sink.that space had no ventilation so it was like taking a shower in a closet. And both of those spaces were by the kitchen. The building had no elevator, so be prepared to drag your suitcases 2 floors up the stairs. Location was great 5 minutes from central market and very walkable.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the excellent location and found it convenient for exploring Florence, with the Central Market just a short walk away. We sincerely apologize for the problems you experienced upon arrival. Arriving at 5:00 PM and finding that the apartment was still being cleaned was not acceptable, and we understand how frustrating it must have been to have to leave again and return later. We are particularly sorry that the stove, oven, and washing machine were not functioning during your stay. We understand that you were on vacation and should not have been expected to spend your time troubleshooting appliances or waiting for maintenance. We will review the listing description to make sure the configuration is presented as clearly and accurately as possible. We’re sorry that these issues affected your experience. Your feedback is valuable, and we will use it to improve our preparation, communication, and maintenance procedures. Thank you again for highlighting both the shortcomings and the positive aspects of your stay.

Apartment in Florence

We enjoyed our stay at this centrally-located apartment, although two of our group found the double bed and bedding to be uncomfortable.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the two-bedroom Casa Sole on Via San Zanobi. The comfortable apartment is located within walking distance of many important historic areas such as the amazing Central Market, the Gallery of the Academy where the famous statue of David resides, and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Lots of excellent restaurants and food markets are a short walk from the building. In general we had good communication with the host, who met us at the door to show us the well-appointed apartment. The bathroom facilities were divided into two separate rooms: a shower room with sink and a bathroom with sink and bidet. Despite the extreme daily heat ( 100 F) in Florence during our visit, the AC worked very well and kept the apartment cool at all times. There was a miscommunication about the apartment washing machine, which appeared to be new and was provided with laundry soap. However, we discovered after starting a load of laundry that the machine was broken and could not complete the wash. There was no signage or indication that the washer was out of service. We had to move our wet clothes to a nearby laundromat, which was somewhat inconvenient. For future guests we recommend checking with management before using the machine as they were not particularly helpful in resolving this situation. The relatively inexpensive apartment is a great value because of its location and comfort, and we recommend staying here.

Florence stay

The apartment was decent size, biggest shower we have ever had and beds very comfortable. The biggest issue we had was none of the beds were made and the dirty laundry from previous renters was piled up in living room! I would highly suggest checking with host if room is truly ready, because we checked in after the time they suggest!!

Nice time in Florence

The property was well located and accessible to the center near the market. Landlord was accessible, however, initially the keys did not work and we had to wait for someone else to open the door for an hour. Despite multiple requests they did not provide a 2nd key for the property which for 4 adults meant a lot of unnecssary coordination to access the building. Did not seem unreasonabble for them to cut a 2nd key that would improve our stay. They responded that the listing only promised one key.
