Fantastic and Bright Apartment in the Heart of Gothic area 10 min from the beach

Great 70 m² apartment with lots of natural light that consists of 2 large double bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with 2 single trundle beds, both beds are comfortable), 4 balconies, living-dining room with 1 double sofa bed comfortable, kitchen and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment is in the fourth floor an old building typical of the Gothic quarter. Both have been recently renovated. The modern and beautiful decoration of the apartment combines perfectly with the old style of the building. The building is accessed from Ripoll Street but the apartment and the main façade face the Plaza dels Peixos (Fish Square). As a curious fact, in the building where this apartment is located, the oldest pharmacy in the city still operates. Public parking very close to the apartment (Avinguda de la Catedral). Note: there is an even closer parking lot, but for the first day it is easier to get to the one on Av. de la Catedral. The building where the apartment is located is right next to the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, just 500 meters from the port and its adjacent beaches. Due to its unique location, it is not necessary to use any type of transport, being a 5-minute walk from Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya. Most of the museums and most important attractions are accessible on foot, however the main Bus and Metro lines are located right next to the apartment. It does not have an elevator like most of the old buildings in the Gothic quarter.

The apartment is really lovely and located close to a lot of interesting attractions. Mercat de la Boqueria is a short walk way along with the beach, Plaça de Catalunya, and others. The host was very accommodating, especially when we needed to extend our stay by a day.

We were so happy with the location, the space, the overall experience was more than I ever could’ve expected. The owner of the property and the agent were very accommodating to all my needs. Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to lots of places to eat, shop, and sightseeing. Just know that you have to take your luggage up 5 flights of stairs. The staff was easy to work with and very accommodating.

Cozy, clean, and interior looked even nicer than the photos. Beds were comfy. Stairs were steep, ok to climb, but bringing up the luggage was a challenge.

Great Location!

Apartment was perfect for our family - fantastic location - plenty of room - great mini balconies with full size opening doors that also have separate opening window doors - great kitchen - would definitely recommend.

Awesome stay in the Gothic Quarter!

Great apartment! Old world charm and modern amenities. Excellent location if you want to visit the beach or downtown. Be aware the apartment is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. Staircase is very narrow. Best to bring small luggage or just backpack.

The check in process was smooth. The apt was clean, comfortable and spacious. It had everything we needed. We had an issue with the tv and it was resolved quickly. The only thing I didn't really like was the the entrance was a metal grafittied door.

Great location. Just one block from the cathedral but on a small side street that was very quiet. Apartment was well equipped, air conditioning worked well and bathroom was nice. Only issue is it is on the fourth floor and there are no elevators. Worked okay for us, we just limited how times we would go in and out of the apartment. But be aware it does take some effort to get your luggage up and down the stairs.

Fantastic location for a Barcelona visit

We had a fantastic time in Barcelona and this apartment was about perfect for us. The location is fantastic and it has everything you need. Only drawbacks were the stairs (as mentioned by others) but also the bathroom/shower aren't well lit and feel a bit dated/needing a renovation.

Apartment was in a great location., it was clean ,very comfortable and the beds were really comfortable. It had air conditioning and heat which is unusual. I would stay there again.

Perfect location, clean place

Only downside is having to go up 5 flights of stairs. But overall it was very clean, just like the pictures. You can't beat the location.

Fabulous location!

Perfect for exploring everything Barcelona has to offer. Beds are comfy , heating worked very well , it was cold in Barcelona, and the kitchen had everything we needed. As has been mentioned in other reviews there are a lot of stairs and the building is old , which I loved, so you get exposed beams fabulous brick walls and slightly wonky stairs . We would happily stay again!

Cute clean apartment in a centrally located area. Walking distance to many attractions in Barcelona. 4th floor with narrow hallways to get to the unit. Check in and check out was easy.

Great Barcelona rental

This rental worked out beautifully for our stay in Barcelona. The location was perfect. Right in the middle of everything so we could walk everywhere. Apartment was clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen was stocked so we could make simple meals for our family. Lots of stairs, but not a problem for our group. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you can handle the 75 steps up.

We had a 4 day stay in Barcelona with our adult son and this location was perfect! Very central to many historical sites, we walked to the beach and to the Sagrada Familia. So many wonderful restaurants within 3 minutes of this location. Beds were very comfortable, loved having the kitchen for our breakfast and evening snacks. Perfect rooftop dining area for breakfast or evening glass of wine! 4 flights of stairs were doable . Wonderful character in the apartment.

Great location!

The apartment was wonderful!!! Our family of 4 spent 3 days touring all over Barcelona. It is located in fantastic area, easy to walk all around the Gothic Quarter, close to Las Ramblas and the marina. The host greeted us and we had no problems checking in. They even arranged transportation from the airport for us. As noted in previous reviews, there are A LOT of steps up to the apartment. It wasn’t much of an issue for us (except with luggage) but please be aware.
