Fantastic and Bright Apartment in the Heart of Gothic area 10 min from the beach

Great 70 m² apartment with lots of natural light that consists of 2 large double bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with 2 single trundle beds, both beds are comfortable), 4 balconies, living-dining room with 1 double sofa bed comfortable, kitchen and 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment is in the fourth floor an old building typical of the Gothic quarter. Both have been recently renovated. The modern and beautiful decoration of the apartment combines perfectly with the old style of the building. The building is accessed from Ripoll Street but the apartment and the main façade face the Plaza dels Peixos (Fish Square). As a curious fact, in the building where this apartment is located, the oldest pharmacy in the city still operates. Public parking very close to the apartment (Avinguda de la Catedral). Note: there is an even closer parking lot, but for the first day it is easier to get to the one on Av. de la Catedral. The building where the apartment is located is right next to the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, just 500 meters from the port and its adjacent beaches. Due to its unique location, it is not necessary to use any type of transport, being a 5-minute walk from Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya. Most of the museums and most important attractions are accessible on foot, however the main Bus and Metro lines are located right next to the apartment. It does not have an elevator like most of the old buildings in the Gothic quarter.

The apartment is really lovely and located close to a lot of interesting attractions. Mercat de la Boqueria is a short walk way along with the beach, Plaça de Catalunya, and others. The host was very accommodating, especially when we needed to extend our stay by a day.

Perfect location. Apartment is clean, well furnished, has plenty of windows/doors that let fresh air and light in. Interesting layout on a street corner, 5-sided polygon shape. Excellent communication with Pia, who's in charge of all the details.It's been mentioned but the stairs, 4 stories, can be a challenge for some. First time seeing fully digital app-based door locks, loved it.

Lägenheten var ljus, låg högt upp med fin utsikt. Den var mysig. Längre till stranden än vi tänkt oss, tog över 30 min att gå ner till stranden. Förtydliga det är väl bra. Och kanske varna lite för väldigt smal trappa och väldigt många våningar att gå.

Great location. Just one block from the cathedral but on a small side street that was very quiet. Apartment was well equipped, air conditioning worked well and bathroom was nice. Only issue is it is on the fourth floor and there are no elevators. Worked okay for us, we just limited how times we would go in and out of the apartment. But be aware it does take some effort to get your luggage up and down the stairs.

The check in process was smooth. The apt was clean, comfortable and spacious. It had everything we needed. We had an issue with the tv and it was resolved quickly. The only thing I didn't really like was the the entrance was a metal grafittied door.

Barcelona Gothic Quarter

Well located and tidy apartment in the Gothic quarter. The entry process was straightforward using an app on your smartphone to access an inconspicuous industrial looking door upon opening, you are confronted by a narrow stairwell up five flights to the apartment; be warned, it’s a struggle with suitcases!Although the city was sweltering, the aircon in the apartment was effective except for the second bedroom which stayed quite hot. There was no washing solution or powder that we could find which would have been a nice touch and most properties we’ve stayed at have had inclusions such as washing powder as well as decent tea and coffee so this was a bit of a shame. Overall four stars and unless you have mobility issues or don’t fancy lugging bags up a narrow stairwell then I would recommend the apartment. A word of caution if you check out early in the morning: there are some dodgy types who loiter about waiting for tourists with bags so I would suggest taking care in the early hours.

Cozy, clean, and interior looked even nicer than the photos. Beds were comfy. Stairs were steep, ok to climb, but bringing up the luggage was a challenge.

Awesome stay in the Gothic Quarter!

Great apartment! Old world charm and modern amenities. Excellent location if you want to visit the beach or downtown. Be aware the apartment is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. Staircase is very narrow. Best to bring small luggage or just backpack.

Great location! Very central and comfortable.

This location could not have been more optimal. Felt very private despite being in the middle of the city. It was very clean too. The fourth floor walk up wasn’t a big deal for us but now that my mom has some ADA needs I am very conscious of limitations. I feel like that should be in the description. Having a washing machine was wonderful and wish I had known that in advance. Lastly, one of the twin beds is a glorified squeaky cot and is terrible uncomfortable. Putting in a real bed with a real mattress would make this place 5 stars. However, that mattress is miserable and made for some rough nights of sleep. Overall good place to stay with great potential with a new bed. Two pillows per bed would be a nice upgrade too.

Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was close to lots of places to eat, shop, and sightseeing. Just know that you have to take your luggage up 5 flights of stairs. The staff was easy to work with and very accommodating.

Great Location!

Apartment was perfect for our family - fantastic location - plenty of room - great mini balconies with full size opening doors that also have separate opening window doors - great kitchen - would definitely recommend.

Great location for a short term stay

The apartment was in a perfect location for a few days of exploring Barcelona. Easy to get around everywhere and the management company was very helpful. The spacious living room is great, though the cot bed in the smaller bedroom was quite uncomfortable. The check in process wasn’t ideal, with the team member meeting us showing up over an hour past our set meeting time with no communication to us that this would be the case. Other than that, we had no issues with the apartment or making arrangements.

Fab above the sky

Excellent location in gothic sector. No need for car rental. Right in the middle of the section. fabulous, well equipped & clean appartment, but description fails to mention a few things… the lack of washroom intimacy (gap in door), the ridiculous amount of floors you need to climb to get to your level (no elevator) and the lengthy process you need to go through to get your keys.

Apartment was in a great location., it was clean ,very comfortable and the beds were really comfortable. It had air conditioning and heat which is unusual. I would stay there again.
