Fantastic and Bright Apartment in the Heart of Gothic area 10 min from the beach

Great 70 m² apartment with lots of natural light that consists of 4 exterior balconies, living-dining room with 1 comfortable double sofa bed, two double bedrooms (one of them en suite), kitchen and 2 complete bathrooms with shower. Apartment is in an old building typical of the Gothic quarter. Both have been recently renovated. The modern and beautiful decoration of the apartment combines perfectly with the old style of the building. The building is accessed from Ripoll Street but the apartment and the main façade face the Plaza dels Peixos (Fish Square). The apartment is completely exterior with four balconies that face the street, it is a 3nd floor with lots of natural light. In its rehabilitation, all the original architectural elements were respected. Public parking very close to the apartment (Avinguda de la Catedral). The building where the apartment is located is right next to the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, just 500 meters from the port and its adjacent beaches. Due to its unique location, it is not necessary to use any type of transport, being a 5-minute walk from Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya. Most of the museums and most important attractions are accessible on foot, however the main Bus and Metro lines are located right next to the apartment. It does not have an elevator like most of the old buildings in the Gothic quarter.




The city of Barcelona has a tourist tax of 5€ per person/ day to be paid in cash on arrival at the apartment.


* If the arrival is later than 20:00h, there will be a surcharge of 30 € to be paid in cash on arrival.
**If the arrival is later than 00:00h, there will be a surcharge of 50€ to be paid in cash at the time of arrival.

Amazing location. We were pleased with the beds and overall cleanliness of the place. Only downfall was the stairs but to be expected with older buildings.

It was a great location in the heart of the old city. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It had AC and plenty of room for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young children). There is no elevator and it is on the 3rd floor so be prepared to haul your luggage up the stairs, but this is par the course when traveling sometimes! Otherwise it was a great stay and everything was as depicted/promised.

Great location, but…

The location was fantastic as far as walking to things and access to so much. However, the sheets and bath towels were not very soft, the main living room had little sound barrier to outside noise as we could hear everything, and the unit had what seemed to be two cameras inside; one in main living above front door and one in master bedroom corner. If these weren’t cameras then I don’t know what they’d be but we covered them.

Family Vacation

Our middle son was spending the semester in Barcelona and we joined for a few days. This was a great location and lovely little apartment. I would note that this is a third floor walkup and the stairs are steep/narrow. If you have a lot of luggage or a bad knee, might look for an apartment on lower floor. Beds were great, shower pressure was great, A/C worked well as did the wifi.

Very nice place !!

The apartment is in a very good location, with either close walks...or taxis nearby for the many things further away.It was very clean, spacious, and bright ! We had one maintenance problem, but the host fairly quickly took care of it. We were aware of the check -in being at a different location, beforehand....but it does require 2 taxi trips...one to get there and another to get to the apartment. We were also aware it did not have an elevator, but the many many many steps up a long winding curved staircase with ( heavy ) luggage , made it quite tricky and tiring for us over 60 ish folks . We recommend the apartment for a lovely stay , with helpful hosts.

Great stay and perfect location

Perfect location for exploring the city! Apartment is exactly as it appears in the listing and is nice. Beds are comfortable and 2 baths a big plus. Communication was good and check in easy. The only negatives are: 4 flights of narrow stairs to the apartment. This is normal in most of Europe . If you have mobility issues or stairs are difficult then this isn’t for you. Yes, you will have street noise going on until very late. Again normal in a big city. Close the shutters for a little help but highly recommend downloading a sound app and using at night to drown out the noise. I’m sensitive to noise at night but didn’t have a problem due to using the sound ap. Highly recommended this apartment.

The place was very clean, very well organized, felt like home for our 3 party family. Took some getting used to initially because of the layout, but we felt right at home very quickly. The large windows were nice, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. We loved the quiet neighborhood at night, the convenient distance to all the shopping and dining areas, the overall experience was very positive. The only downside is, there are no elevators in the building and the stairs are narrow and steep, so if you have large luggage, it can be challenging if you’re staying on a higher floor like we did. 3rd floor doesn’t seem like much, but with heavy bags and narrow turns, it can get daunting. Not that anyone can do anything about it, these older buildings don’t have the space for adding elevators into the structure.

Great location in Barcelons

Great location in Barcelona near the action, but off the main roads. Looks just like the pictures! Wasn't an issue for us, but note that there is no elevator and it is on the 4th floor. It was clean and had everything we needed. Check in was a 5-10min cab away and took only 5 mins. Communication from the rental company was great.

Four nights in Barcelona…..

advertised as two bedroom , two bath….but did not let you know the second bathroom was across the living room which made it difficult for any privacy for couple staying in that bedroom. It had air conditioning in master bedroom, but second bedroom guest had to sleep with door open to get air. Poor amenities. Not enough. (one paper towel roll, one dish towel ) Amenities could have much better…. Perfect quaint neighborhood ……

The Apartment was in a great location and very spacious for European apartment. I stayed for 30 days would not suggest a long stay. The Apartment is on 3rd floor so in Europe that’s 4 flights of winding narrow stairs no elevator. The area was one of the loudest. I have stayed in 39 countries and the noise level until super late then again early made sleeping almost impossible. The apartment had an inadequate refrigerator and a tiny freezer. The TV’s were basically the size of a iPad screen with no ability to connect to WiFi or stream. The kitchen was basic with very little room to prepare food, the eating table was a high top and difficult to sit at. The AC did not cool second bedroom at all.

THERE ARE NO STAIRS IN THIS BUILDING. We were not aware of this and had to climb up lots of flights each time and with our luggage. The place itself is not very clean and modern. The coffee filter was completely dirty and the noise level outside was a bother. I didn’t find the place to be worth what we paid for it, personally.

Perfect location for exploring the Gothic Quarter!

This apartment was absolutely perfect for our group of three when visiting Barcelona. Check-in and check-out were a breeze; we weren't expected to do any cleaning except to take our trash out to the dumpster just down the block. The apartment itself was more than enough space for us, and having the two separate bathrooms (including two separate laundry machines) was clutch. The location was incredible! We were able to walk pretty much everywhere we wanted to go and there's no shortage of good food nearby.
