This rental was absolutely stunning from inside to out, and the location couldn't be more perfect. At the base of a hill in Alfama district, it was close to the old town and many places to visit. The famous Tram 28 was practically at the doorstep, with a street lined with restaurants just a 5 minute walk away. Inside, the foyer was nicely scented, and the option of an elevator was a life saver. The apartment had wonderful views from both the front and back with windows that opened. You could faintly hear the church bells from both sides. The bed was very comfortable, and despite being on a main street, once the windows were closed, there was no sound from the street. I particularly liked the addition of the high quality Bluetooth speaker in the living room to play music from as we sipped our complementary wine. We appreciated the addition of laundry and dish washing pods included with the rental as well. Only a few things to note, the people who were above us were a little loud and we could hear them stomping about, but it could be the old building. A few of the towels could be refreshed as we noticed some stains when holding up to the light. This discovery was entirely on accident and didn't detract from our experience. The carpet in the living area could use a cleaning. Finally, it is very easy to spill water from the shower onto the floor as the glass divider doesn't protect fully from spray. All in all, we would 100% recommend this rental, and would return in a heartbeat.
