We have a 2 story home with a full basement that walks out to the spacious back yard flowing into the lake and beyond. (In the winter, you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of the horses on the peninsula across the way!) Aside the main house is the Carriage House which resembles a barn venue with silk curtains, weathered metal sheeting and twinkling lights for all occasions. This space is great for workshops, weddings, yoga sessions, reunions, or anything you can imagine there. Our imaginations encourage yours to RUN WILD!

The upper and lower firepits give even more areas for congregation, as do the many fun amenities on-site including pool and foos ball tables, cornhole and yard games, ping pong and fishing poles, kayaks and our deck-level hot tub complete with the view of the lake and all the nature it brings with. The house easily sleeps 12 and there are more couches available for those extra guests. Just down the road are activities for the whole family and as mentioned, just across the street is the Sawnee Mountain Nature Preserve with miles and miles of hiking and the historic and picturesque Indian Seats which allow you to see to the mountains of North Carolina on clear day!

Weddings, retreats, reunions, large groups and small are all welcome at The Retreat at Twin Lakes w/ owner approval. We offer 100 folding white chairs, rolling spools and LARGE workshop tables that double as bars and standing tables. We have tents and decorations, serving items, signs, and the little things that you may not even think about! It's a true DIY event without having to worry about toting your items and decorations or any additional rental fees or setup. We want you to take what is usually available for events from a 9 hour booking into a full weekend event for much (IF NOT WAY LESS!!!) of the same price!
