OBX is great; realty not so much

House was nice and location was great. Two of the larger beds had urine stains on the pads/bedding. Got an apology but nothing else and for the price point I would hope for a better outcome. Booking process is not as easy as a normal VRBO booking

Paradise in OBX

We rented this house for April Vacation with 6 adults and our 6 boys 13 and under. Upon arrival - the house was immaculate and even better than the pictures. While Salvo is an hour south of the busy OBX area - we really enjoyed the quiet without busy crowds. The kids loved the heated pool, game room, playing soccer and football on the beach, and ended each day alllll the way up in the crows nest watching movies or sports. The adults loved the ease of going to the beach, the well equipped kitchen, and the many master bedrooms. This was our first time in OBX and we’ll definitely be back!

This place was awesome it was so nice to have a pool and a hot tub and then also be so close to the ocean!. They were big bedrooms and bathrooms for each couple, and plenty of fun things to do for the kids. Only thing I wish I would’ve known it was that unlike typical Vrbo spots where there’s an amount of condiments, coffee filters, toilet paper, soap. There was very little of that. You Need to be sure to go out and get all paper towel, toilet paper hand soap dish soap etc and even things salt and pepper. It wasn’t a big deal it just wasn’t like a typical Vrbo. It did seem typical for the area, because at grocery store everyone is buying the same items. Ha! It was an amazing trip and the house was amazing and exactly as described.

Great house close to the beach

It's a nice, well maintained large house about 100 yards from the ocean-side beach (which is as close as you can get to the beach in this area – you just walk along a sandy path through a brush-covered ridge, with the beach past the ridge). The multiple living/entertainment rooms are nice for large groups, and the keypad entry is very convenient.

Great escape

We had an amazing experience at Cheerio. Everything we needed was there as advertised. The beach was a super short private walk away. The kids wanted to live there forever. 4/5 on cleanliness only because there was a strange dirty wash cloth in one of the showers and the ceiling fans were pretty dusty and some pans a little greasy, but honestly that’s us being a little picky about a vacation rental. It was excellent.

The place was nice and roomy.

There were a few things that were broken . The microwave didn’t work, the glass shower door didn’t close . Plus the listing said that linens were included so I had to spend another 300.00 unexpectedly.

Great house!

Loved this house! Plenty of room, super nice pool area, nice sized bedrooms, great game room, and the grandkids loved the tower room! Their own little hideout! Would definitely stay here again!

Family's First Time Together for Vacation

This was a wonderful house for our family of 13 people, it could easily accommodate more. Thought I read somewhere that all bedrooms had king beds so two of the rooms were tight for some couples with cribs in same room. All rooms very well furnished and beds were comfortable. Walk to the beach was challenging for some elders. Would recommend renting wagon for time at the beach and umbrella for beach and upper deck. Weather was great for kite flying. Missed hearing or seeing the surf, but these are the barrier island and they are protected by the dunes. There were a handful of local establishments and entertainment, but found we had some drive time for things to do and sites to see. Pool and hot tub were wonderful assets. Bring along a deflated tubes for a relaxing float. First of the week we were wanting an elevator, but by day 4 we were up to the challenge of the four levels. Kitchen was well established for meals and or parties. Frying pans could be better. Deck on street side perfect for early morning coffee or for watching the ice cream truck come by. Not enough time to enjoy all that the house had to offer. Never got our game night. Next time.
