Family spring break

This was our second visit to this property. We love the location and being right on the beach. This unit had 3 bedrooms, one having bunks and easily accommodated our family of 6. The pier and shops/restaurants are a really quick walk. The pool and beach are outside the door!

Great place to stay. Everything we just as described in the listing. Only issue is the dryer takes a while to dry. Other than that we enjoyed the condo.

Great vacation

Great room! Great pool/beach area! I wish the calypso itself had more elevators, because there were several times that it took us a while to get to the beach or other places just waiting on an elevator, but that really had nothing to do with the room. Everything else was great!

Family getaway

Enjoyed the ease of contactless check in. Loved the pools and the tiki bar! We received door code in plenty of time before arrival, but did have to call to get info parking emailed. This was a last minute booking, so that was expected. Overall enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Great location

We chose this condo for the location and were very happy. The staff is friendly and helpful, the condo was spacious and a five minute walk from Pier Park. Our only complaint is that the resort could use more chairs at the pool. Inconsiderate guests hog the chairs by covering them with towels and walking away for hours, leaving no place to sit for those actually using the pool.

Love PCB

Everything was wonderful the weather the beds the bathrooms. A few items I would change - the living room couch and chairs needs replaced terrible. The kitchen cabinet fronts need replaced.. Overall I will book again, first time we have not had top of the line furniture at Calapayo

Beautiful Property- Fire Alarm Nightmare

The property was beautiful and exactly like the pictures. Great location! However, when we arrived the fire alarms in the unit were going off. After several conversations and 1 1/2 hours later someone came to help. They went off at least 3 other times during our stay. Other than that hassle it was great!

Condo seemed a little run down. Not enough toilet paper (several women in room) tv in living room - channels kept running finally stopped after 1 day. 1 stool at bar broken.

Needs some updates and maintenance

The location of the property was great. Right in the middle of everything. There were plenty of towels for the family and there was enough room for all of us. However the beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding was very thin. The pillows were uncomfortable. The curtains were falling due to the tracks needing some repairs. The closet door was off the track in one bedroom. The paint in the kitchen was peeling off. The property needs some TLC and it would be a much nicer stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE, MOLD!!

Mold in both bathroom. Floor so gross you have to wear shoes. We had to cover furniture to sit on it! Plus it was so broken down! The bunk beds were ao bad no one could sleep on them!! THIS ROOM SHOULD NEVER HAD BE RENTED WITH THE MOLD! WE CALLED REAL JOY THEY WON'T GIVE U ANOTHER ROOM!

Difficulty checking in

The condo is fine and I'm satisfied with that part but I still don't know what happened at check in. We were supposed to have received the door code 30 minutes before the 4:00 check in. We got here about 3:00 and went to the grocery store. 3:30 came and went. I tried calling to be told no one was available to take my call. I talked to the receptionist at Calypso and she couldn't help. By this time it's after 4:00; I have 2 grandchildren on the way and didn't know if we were going have a place to go. As a last resort I called the sales office and got a real person who said she would see what she could do. We did finally get the code soon after that but it was nearing 4:30 and I had started to think we were going to have to come up with somewhere else to stay. That was an unneeded experience after driving 8 hours. That is something that I would not want to have to worry about the next time so I will certainly hesitate before renting from Real Joy again.

Condo needs attention…

Location of the condo is great, however, the condo itself needs some major attention. Cosmetically, it just needs a ton of work…knobs on the bed are missing, closet doors off hinges, the walls throughout were scuffed and in need of new paint. The paint is peeling badly off of some kitchen cabinets. In addition, several brackets for the curtain and rods were broken in the bedroom and main living room. The balcony is only assessable from the master bedroom as the outside handle is broken on the main door. Functionally, the bunk bed mattresses were completely worn and left you almost flat on the metal bars. The bar stools are not sturdy and were missing some pieces. The living room furniture needs replaced, not to mention the sofa bed is horrendous. The furniture is stained and the cushions are flat from so much wear and tear. The living room television changes channels at random times on a “scan” option without the television or remote being touched. In reading previous reviews and the dates they were made, I had assumed some of the issues were remedied, unfortunately they were not. This isn’t our first time at this resort so the fee for this condo and others is comparable but the condition is definitely not.
