Perfect getaway

We stayed the week after July 4th. We used to go tent camping in the Islands every summer until we moved out of state 9 years ago. Coming back for a family vacation this summer, we couldn't have been more excited to experience the Islands again. We cannot say enough about the house, the location, and host Michelle. The house was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable, in a fantastic location on Goose Bay and the views are amazing. Its secluded enough, but also not too far from conveniences and things to do if you happen to get a couple of rainy days. Alex Bay is about 10 min away, Clayton about 25 min. We rented a pontoon boat from Mac's for a couple of days and it was nice to be able to keep it at the dock. The cottage has virtually everything you could need. Since we flew back to NY, we were limited with what we might pack, but really the house is well equipped. Michelle was very accommodating, available, personable, and communicated from our booking time (way back several months ago) to our end date, any questions that popped up along the way she was available to check in with. We would certainly book this spot again, it was a wonderful week!

Perfect little getaway but close to everything you need..

My husband and I rented Michele’s place during the last week of August. We brought our boat up and she was kind enough to let us leave it in the driveway prior to us checking in so we could bop around town while we waited. I will say the road and driveway to get to the cottage was very narrow so, if you’re not super comfortable towing a boat trailer in tight quarters, there is a place right down the road at the boat ramp you could keep your trailer for a few days. The house was beautiful and very clean. The master bed was very comfortable. Plenty of pillows and blankets. She even left us little snacks while we unpacked. She was also easily reachable whenever we had questions. Over all, we will definitely be looking to go back next year.

Private spectacular views and sunsets

Extremely responsive, friendly and helpful host. Michelle went above and beyond. Very roomy and clean. All the necessities of home supplied. Very quiet. Easy ramp access. Great boating and fishing. Would highly recommend and planning to return.

Great House and Perfect Location

This turned out to be the perfect spot for our annual fishing trip. There are 5 or 6 of us that have been getting together for over 10 years now and this was our first trip to the St. Lawrence River...this turned out to be the perfect place for us. There was plenty of space for all of us and the location in the Bay was amazing. There was easy access to the river when we wanted to target smallmouth and if we felt like changing things up, the Bay was loaded with largemouth. To top it off, the hostess was wonderful from the time we made our reservation right up to the time we checked out.

Lovely cottage and location

My two sisters and I chose this cottage because of the location near Alexandria Bay (just 10-15 min away) and the amenities. High on our list was a beautiful view, an option for a fire pit and access to kayaks. We had all this, plus a responsive hostess! It didn’t take any effort to figure out the heating on our brisk October weekend, and the hot/cold water reversal in one bathroom also posed very little issue. Septic tank, so don’t expect Charmin tp, but it was a small price to pay for the lovely sunset over the water. Just wonderful!

Just wonderful place- perfect for us

Wonderful place on a bay away from everything, but only a 10 minute drive to Alexandria Bay. Welcome snacks and drinks were waiting for us, as well as local dinner recommendations and everything needed for a nice getaway. Super comfortable beds too! Definitely recommend!

Beautiful

This trip was made even better by the accommodations in Goose Bay. We usually stay close to our favorite fishing spots in Chippewa Bay, but were excited to try new waters and a new location. We didn't regret our decision. This home was easy to relax in. The deck was fantastic for evening sunset views. The kitchen and grill made cooking a breeze. The host was extremely helpful and very good with communication. She made sure we had everything we needed. We recommend this home to anyone looking for relaxation, fishing, or a quiet place to end the day after sightseeing in the area.

Lovely cottage with awesome sunset views

The property was pretty much exactly as described. Everything was super clean and completely functional. The host left us lots of goodies that we enjoyed throughout the week. Great fire pit and deck with lots of chairs to enjoy evening sunsets. Nice flat screen with Netflix etc. Screened windows, ceiling fans and window AC (which we did not need). Host provides some basic kitchen supplies, TP, cleaning items, with sufficient cooking utensils to prepare simple meals for a modest sized group. Beds comfortable with closet space. Just 10 min from the Big M grocery store, Alex Bay (bars, restaurants, shopping, boat tours) and the bait shop. Includes use of kayaks. Because water levels were low, the boat launch at Kring Point State park was marginally adequate for our 18 foot fishing boat - try Alex Bay or other launches for larger boats. It was quite nice - quiet, great stars at night - overall very enjoyable.

A great week!

We loved our stay on Goose Bay! The house was very clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. Michelle was quick to answer all our questions before the trip and let us know that she would be available if we had any other questions. The sunsets from the deck were beautiful. We very much appreciated the treats she left us as a welcome gift. It was a great week!

The Thousand Islands

We totally enjoyed our stay in the Thousand Island area. The cottage was located near Alexandria Bay. Biking and hiking were easily accessible, as were many wineries and distilleries. The cottage itself was a perfect size and very well equipped for all of our needs. It afforded amazing sunset views on the deck as well as views of the St Lawrence Seaway. We were able to see multiple freighters on the Seaway. We had a wonderful week.

Family Fishing trip

We really enjoyed the property. Communication from the owner was excellent from prior to post stay. The house was in excellent shape. We were welcomed with cheese, packaged meats, crackers and cold beer, a very nice touch. We have 4 people in our party but the property very comfortably would sleep 8 people within the 4 bedrooms. Very close to Alexandria Bay with many things to do. We spent all of our time fishing, which was close to some excellent fishing spots. Would recommend Michele and her property

Beautiful location!

This home has incredible views and was perfect for our multi-generational trip. Very quiet and relaxing location but not far at all from Alex Bay and Clayton. The use of kayaks was an added bonus. Kitchen well equipped. Owner was incredibly responsive and so welcoming as we were greeted with yummy treats when we arrived!

Great Week enjoying family and friends on the St. Lawrence

My son is stationed at Fort Drum and raves about the beauty of the thousand islands and surroundings. We planned our vacay with our besties and enjoyed boating, fishing, exploring, and sightseeing! The house was comfy, clean, and perfect for us. Michele was extremely helpful offering early check in, things to do, and openly communicated with us. She answered questions immediately! The house is a little gem on Goose Bay and we hope to visit again soon!

Attention

Perfect perfect... where do I start? The gold beer in fridge and snacks when we arrived in 80 degree weather? No the two docks to support our 3 fishing boats? No, the AC and washer dryer? No, it was the owner and the way she went out of her way to make sure my friends and I were set for our long fishin go weekend. This place is perfect thank you!

Best of both worlds: serenity and privacy plus less than 10 minutes to Alexandria Bay for great restaurants, shopping, and pubs. This home is literally a dream come true. The view of Goose Bay and beyond is STUNNING. Kayaking and being on the water here is heavenly, the sound of the water lapping the dock is a lullaby for afternoon naps and the best sleep you will ever have. We have horseshoe and badminton if you want to play a friendly game or bring your boat to your private docks. We've had as many as 3 bass boats at once. The fire pit is nice at night [ bring your camp wood or google "the wood guy" ] and the wrap around deck with ready-to-go grill is always a sweet spot. We've put chairs and everywhere so you can be alone or with family and friends.

WE ARE FOLLOWING W.H.O. GUIDELINES FOR CLEANING. CLEAN FIRST THEN DISINFECTING. We are constantly upgrading. The beginning of the season brings all new pillows and comforters. We are mindful of heavily scented cleaning products and have a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to grill, cook, or make your frozen drinks with our Vitamix. All floors are painted with zero VOC paint available [ Natura ] so there is no off-gassing. Ceiling fans are in every room with lots of windows for natural breezes. We also have AC in the main living space which is rarely needed. Off-street parking for 4 cars plus bring your trailer and boat or boats. Our dock is big enough for 4 medium sized boats or 1 or 2 grand boats [ email with questions on water depth etc. ]. Fishing enthusiasts you know Goose Bay is the home of world class fishing. Come here with plans to see the area including Singer Castle and Canada or have no plans but to rest and recharge. We love our home and would be happy to share it with you.
