Super great stay! It’s a 10! Only thing that was needed was extra trash bags in the kitchen we only had 1 for a 3 night stay.

Large but cozy getaway!

The cabin was great and the online management was awesome at handling questions and requests quickly. The cabin provides just the right amount of cozy possibilities while offering a big enough space to go relax if your family starts getting on your nerves. The holiday accents were a great touch, it just needed firewood.

AMAZING House

This house was exactly as it was described in the pictures were exactly how the house looks! It was a perfect fit for our family. We did not find one thing that we needed that the house did not supply! We highly recommend “Ace In The Hole”.

Great place

This cabin was very cute and was the perfect size for our family trip that was a total of 10 people (3 families). The neighborhood is great and felt safe with beautiful views. Would definitely recommend.

Birthday weekend

The pictures on the website do this location no justice. My family and I all enjoyed our stay especially with the snow. Wouldn’t have rather been anywhere else but at this place with my family! Thank you for making it comfortable for us!

Great time

We loved the cabin. All the wildlife. The only suggestion is for grab bars in all the bathtubs, clothes hangers in the closets and luggage racks. Everything was wonderful. Might want to check for something falling from the ceiling, White dust on the sofa and credenza. Pray it isn't termites.

4th Annual Family Christmas

The house was really pretty. The bedrooms were very spacious. The fireplace was beautiful. But it was very disappointing that you have to buy your own firewood and lighter. The laundry room is nice but again, you have to provide your own detergent. All the pump hand soaps were watered down but tiny bar soaps were provided.

Beautiful home was great for our family!

This is a beautiful home in a good location. The roads are pretty steep leading up to it, so if you are visiting in the winter this might be an issue. However, for our visit in the summer, it was not an issue. The house has a large deck with plenty of seating and a nice hot tub. The views off of the deck were gorgeous! The inside of the house was large with plenty of seating, rooms, and beds that worked perfectly for our family. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the house. The house was basically clean at eye level. However, if you look up, there is a lot of dust and cobwebs on the walls, ceilings, mirrors, and taller furniture. A serious deep cleaning would help with this. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, but there could be more serving and cooking utensils in my opinion. We struggled to find enough serving utensils for dinners, etc. Last, the hand soaps by all the sinks are very diluted with water making them unusable. We replaced all of them with new bottles of Softsoap for our stay and left them there for the next guests. Offering a full-strength handsoap by the sinks would be a quick fix to this issue. Overall, we loved our stay here and would stay again if it is available the next time we travel to Ruidoso.

Family Weekend

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfect. My only recommendation would be additional seating in the living room area. There was no way we could all sit in the living room and watch TV or just visit.

Great house!

So thankful for our time at Ace in the Hole. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom, and it felt very spacious. Good chance we’ll go again!

Enjoyed our stay house needs some improvements but overall a good place to stay

The layout of the house was nice and family oriented, the hot tub was amazing, we used the gas grill, ran out of propane during our dinner but they replaced it the next morning. If they could fix the loose boards on the deck and stairs outside and fix the toilets that stay on every time you flush and fix the shower head in the upstairs bathroom it would have gotten 5 stars. The only other suggestion is maybe have more seating in the living room, we as a family of 7 couldn’t all sit together and watch a movie. The fire place was lovely! The mule deer that came up to the yard daily were such a pleasant surprise.

Nice cabin for a great price

The cabin was very nice and clean. I especially liked that it is not completely covered in carpet. Beautiful views from the balcony and a family of deer that comes to visit daily.
