Great Tahoe Gem!

Perfect little cottage on the lake! Easy drive into town and across the street from a couple great hikes for amazing views of the lake. Looking forward to staying here again.

Loved staying in the mis cabin!

Everything was great, it was very celan, kitchen had pots, forks, spoons etc. ! Loved staying there hopefully in the future we can book here again!

Magnificent Location

Great location on the lake. Private Beach. Cozy rustic cottage. Saw a big bear out the kitchen window but it completely disappeared when I went to show my family.

The location couldn’t be better

The location couldn’t be better. The cabin is as described, built in the 1920s, so it is quirky and unique. But it has everything you could need, and having the lake on your doorstep is unbeatable!

Heavenly Snowbound

Private, beautiful setting on the lake. Fantastic wrap-around deck. We deliberately went for the snow and weren't disappointed! Peaceful walks, bed was so comfortable! Heating and hot water excellent :) Rustic, charming property. Loved our stay!

Mostly good / view is spectacular

The view is SPECTACULAR from the deck. Master bed is a king and very, very comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked. Minor points: There is a fair amount of road noise. Sofa in living room doesn't seem to match the photos and is not comfortable. Chair in living room was old and had dog hair all over it.

Amazing House and Property

This was the best place to have a lake vacation! The house is full of history and charm but the location.... 10/10! The view is amazing, the deck is large and a perfect mix of sun and shade at all times of the day. The private beach is just a few steps away and the water is perfect for kids and adults. My kids (age 11-14) snorkeled for hours and had plenty of space to never get bored or feel crowded. We loved every minute and can't wait to stay again!

Amazing Cabin On The Lake

This is our 3rd time here. We just love it! It’s the perfect size for my husband, dog and I and has everything we need. The Property Manager is always available and very nice. Just steps to the water, quiet, large deck with amazing views (sunset, lake, mountains). Walking distance to Cave Rock hike and boat launch. Short distance to South Shore if you need a people fix or entertainment/shopping.

Long Weekend at Tahoe

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 6th time at the cabin and hopefully we will have many more stays. Moved in with temps in the 70's and left 4 days later with 5" of snow. Love this place!

Amazing views, amazing location!

I don't ever want to leave, beautiful views and amazing sunsets. The cabin is rustic and definitely been lived in and enjoyed for many years. Comfortable beds and pillows, got a great nights sleep. Everything you need to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner are here in the kitchen. The great news is if you don't want to cook there are amazing restaurants close by, our favorite was Scouza for Italian and Freshies for amazing fish tacos. Great location for world class skiing as well. I definitely want to come back in the summer for kayaking and hikes, went on one amazing hike as well. Love it here. Thanks for sharing your families cabin it is truly amazing.

Great, just needs a little more attention on cleanliness

This was my first time staying at a vacation home so I was really going off of the pictures when I was making our sleeping arrangements and I decided to go with this rental as it had more beds than the other one I was comparing it to however it only has 2 queens and a bunk bed; thankfully we were able to make things work however I think that part needs to be updated on the rental post. I love that the rental is pet friendly however the bed sheets on the second floor were covered in dog hairs. I think I would rent this rental out again but make sure to take the rooms into consideration. The easy access to the water was definitely the highlight of the trip. I also had a quick response from the property management when we had a question in regards to the wifi.

The deck is the most amazing part of the property. You can sit and soak up the view endlessly.

The property is lovely. My main problem was the difficulty getting to the beach. No one else had a problem but I didn’t go the beach without my hiking poles and someone’s strong arm to hold on top. It would really help to have some handrails on the lower section. The road repair and subsequent schedule was very annoying. If you wanted to come or go you had to do it before 7 or 12-12:30 or after 5. That was very annoying.

Amazing lakefront cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This beautiful ‘Old Tahoe’ lakefront cabin with a private beach is truly one-of-a-kind. It is definitely a splurge, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. This is now the third summer we have spent a week at this historic cabin. My children, my dog, and I enjoy it and appreciate it more every year. The sunset (and moonrise) views from the deck, being able to enjoy a sandy, shady private beach, and the convenient location all contribute to the amazing experience. I was so happy that the cabin did not sustain any damage (except for some downed branches) from the heavy snows last winter. This cabin is very special and I hope we can return every summer.

Relaxing and tranquil

We wanted a quiet place to stay near the water with our dog Kota. This was a beautiful property and great cabin. About 15min north of the casinos, and 15min south of Spooner lake. We knew the cabin was next to the water but was right on top of it! The waves were crashing on the sand and rocks in the evening. It was so soothing to fall asleep to. In the mornings, the lake was like glass. Tranquil and peaceful. The cabin is old and quaint, the beds were soft and the sheets were good quality. The deck was incredible. The property manager was very helpful and accommodating as well. Spooner lake was a great 2mile hike, the dog and us loved it. Lots of beach activities nearby as well. Our only suggestion for the owners would be to update their patio furniture. Felt very heavy and stiff. Maybe Adriatic chairs, more lounging restful seating. You really do spend the day on the deck when the weather permits. 5 stars
