We had a fabulous time. The cabin is well kept and clean. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need.

I was happily surprised by the awesomeness of this property. The location was better than what I was expecting and the cabin itself was very clean and so comfortable. Bed sheets were crisp and clean. There were more towels available than we could use (there were four of us and doggo swimming everyday), there were extra blankets and even surprises such as a stock of seasonings and popcorn. This cabin is right on the water! Views of the sunset over the lake from the living room windows every night. This is a rare and special property on Lake Tahoe. I especially liked its old cabin charm! I will book this property again asap.

A perfect getaway

We had a great time at the Little Red Cabin. It is a perfect location - far enough from the tourist hotspots to be quiet, but easy and quick to great locations. The property is charming, giving a real rustic cabin feel that takes you away from your normal life. The listing underplays how fun the little beach at the bottom of the stairs is - so nice to sit in the sand and take a dip in the cleanest waters you’ve ever seen. The furniture could use an upgrade, but didn’t take away from how charming the house was. Would recommend whole heartedly.

Best rental in Tahoe

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The little red cabin has become a very special place for my family. We have been going there every year in the summer, for several months ears now, sometimes more than once a summer. The sunset views from the deck are incredible, the location is convenient, and the little private beach is beautiful. We love that it is dog friendly and you can’t beat walking down the steps to take a swim with our dog in the crystal clear water. The cabin is built around several pine trees, which adds to the old Tahoe charm. It is expensive, but to my family it’s well worth it for such a special place.

We had a wonderful weekend on the lake with kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. The water was refreshing and the weather was perfect.

Great Tahoe Gem!

Perfect little cottage on the lake! Easy drive into town and across the street from a couple great hikes for amazing views of the lake. Looking forward to staying here again.

Magnificent Location

Great location on the lake. Private Beach. Cozy rustic cottage. Saw a big bear out the kitchen window but it completely disappeared when I went to show my family.

Great, just needs a little more attention on cleanliness

This was my first time staying at a vacation home so I was really going off of the pictures when I was making our sleeping arrangements and I decided to go with this rental as it had more beds than the other one I was comparing it to however it only has 2 queens and a bunk bed; thankfully we were able to make things work however I think that part needs to be updated on the rental post. I love that the rental is pet friendly however the bed sheets on the second floor were covered in dog hairs. I think I would rent this rental out again but make sure to take the rooms into consideration. The easy access to the water was definitely the highlight of the trip. I also had a quick response from the property management when we had a question in regards to the wifi.

Mostly good / view is spectacular

The view is SPECTACULAR from the deck. Master bed is a king and very, very comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked. Minor points: There is a fair amount of road noise. Sofa in living room doesn't seem to match the photos and is not comfortable. Chair in living room was old and had dog hair all over it.

Relaxing and tranquil

We wanted a quiet place to stay near the water with our dog Kota. This was a beautiful property and great cabin. About 15min north of the casinos, and 15min south of Spooner lake. We knew the cabin was next to the water but was right on top of it! The waves were crashing on the sand and rocks in the evening. It was so soothing to fall asleep to. In the mornings, the lake was like glass. Tranquil and peaceful. The cabin is old and quaint, the beds were soft and the sheets were good quality. The deck was incredible. The property manager was very helpful and accommodating as well. Spooner lake was a great 2mile hike, the dog and us loved it. Lots of beach activities nearby as well. Our only suggestion for the owners would be to update their patio furniture. Felt very heavy and stiff. Maybe Adriatic chairs, more lounging restful seating. You really do spend the day on the deck when the weather permits. 5 stars

We understand that the cabin is from last century but to give 5 stars, they need some improvement. Some curtains in the bedrooms. We tried to use the fireplace but there was a very bad smell so webstopped using it. The hunk bed cannot be used by adults, neither teenagers. They move a lot and my daughter's had to sleep on the couch.It was very hot in this bedroom, even with the doors opened.Otherwise, kitchen very well equipped with lots of pots and pans, bowls... Everything we needed.It was a great 5 days vacation.

Amazing lakefront cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This beautiful ‘Old Tahoe’ lakefront cabin with a private beach is truly one-of-a-kind. It is definitely a splurge, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. This is now the third summer we have spent a week at this historic cabin. My children, my dog, and I enjoy it and appreciate it more every year. The sunset (and moonrise) views from the deck, being able to enjoy a sandy, shady private beach, and the convenient location all contribute to the amazing experience. I was so happy that the cabin did not sustain any damage (except for some downed branches) from the heavy snows last winter. This cabin is very special and I hope we can return every summer.

The deck is the most amazing part of the property. You can sit and soak up the view endlessly.

The property is lovely. My main problem was the difficulty getting to the beach. No one else had a problem but I didn’t go the beach without my hiking poles and someone’s strong arm to hold on top. It would really help to have some handrails on the lower section. The road repair and subsequent schedule was very annoying. If you wanted to come or go you had to do it before 7 or 12-12:30 or after 5. That was very annoying.
