Sister Trip

The cottage was really cute and cozy. Just the right amount of space for relaxing. The mattresses were a little uncomfortable. A little yard maintenance was needed with vegetation by the entry. There were plenty of towels and other necessities. We enjoyed outings to Kemah boardwalk and Tanger outlet mall. Travel to and from was easy..Overall a very nice place to stay. Cute Little Country Home

We arrived a little early thinking we would've ran into traffic. They were very nice to let us check in early. The house is in a great location. Lots to do just 5 minutes from the house. Thanks for making our stay very relaxing. Hope to come back again.

I was there for a 5K and this was convenient to everything. It was nice to have a yard for the dogs. The house had everything needed.

Nice House, Uncomfortable Location

We mostly enjoyed our stay here. The house was fine and as described. However, the location we felt was not accurately described. While we never felt unsafe (we would've left if so), we did feel uncomfortable during our stay. There are a couple of trailer homes next door (with roosters that start crowing at 4am) and what appeared to be an abandoned home on the other side. I had to go to work one afternoon and my wife and kids stayed at the house, and neither of us was very relaxed during that time. It is probably a good place to stay if on a budget, but we were wishing we would've spent a little more on a better area. The kids still had a good time so was a good trip overall (visited Galveston Island, Kemah Boardwalk, and Houston). Kemah boardwalk is about 8 minutes away.

2nd stay in Bacliff

We had a nice, easy stay at the Holiday Cottage in Bacliff. It was our second stay. It's easy to find and park there. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds and bath are comfortable. We visit our family in the area so we haven't cooked many lunches and dinners, there, but I think that would work well. Thanks for having us, Greg and Linda.

Houston Visit

We made last minute plans and were able to get this property scheduled with no fuss or problem. We had our dog with us and we all enjoyed the spaces to walk. The hosts provided everything we needed to make our stay pleasant.

Great house in a quite nice location

Great house for our week vacation to Galveston/Kemah/JSC The neighborhood was perfect to walk in the mornings and feel the cool breeze of the gulf. Close to shops/restaurants and entertainment. Property management were great to communicate.

Baclif Stay

Cute little older home in eclectic neighborhood. Met our needs to be close to family in the area. The neighbors could be heard in the evenings at times. Owners did a good job making the property feel Private amidst many other homes closer nearby.

Linda is a retired teacher and Greg is a retired chemical engineer. They found each other at a great time in their lives, and have been traveling, and working on personal projects since. They love hosting their friends with several parties a year, so hosting a VRBO is great way to share their love of giving to others.

Linda's passion is renovation, and particularly taking older homes and making them alive again. Greg recognized this talent of hers, and when she sold her renovated ranch house, encouraged her to find another project. Hospitality House was just that, a project. Lots of cleaning up, repainting, and love later, we hosted a Hurricane Harvey family for the last year until they moved. Now it's open to you. Having a second empty building gave her the dream of a tiny house. It will be ready to share by May 1st. The Tiny Dream come true.

Hospitality House has always felt cozy and inviting. Changing the color scheme to the blues and yellows made it moreso. The screen porch in the rear gives that outdoor extension without the bugs. Adding the charcoal BBQ grill will let the true griller in a family take the heat outdoors. Rearranging the fences it had has made the whole property separated, yet will allow those who need more rooms to rent both cottages and be close to each other. Hospitality House is set for 4, but can be arranged to add 2 more comfortably. Also, a convertible baby/toddler bed can be brought to the house for longer term rentals with prior notice.and a small fee..
Tiny Dream is definitely a 1-2 person experience. A sleeper sofa opens into just enough space to pass around at night, but plenty of space during the day. Full kitchen (except dishwasher or laundry) and shower bath make a great experience. It is now available on it's own listing.
