It was a wonderful trip to beautiful Ft Morgan, and our stay at the Pink Pelican could not have been better. Landon, the owner was so patient and understanding with our questions and concerns amid the hurricane season, as well as Covid frustrations.
We have a large family, that does not get together very often since our 5 kids have grown and flown, and the tri level was so accommodating.
Our daughter, her husband and three kids had the lower ground level, with a large room, big enough for their entire family of five, a queen sized bed and beautiful bunk beds, my husband and I had the main level with the beautiful wrap around porch and our three sons had the upstairs to themselves. They have not roomed together since right after high school, and the third level had three large beds, two baths and a living area that made the perfect man cave.
The main living area had an enormous sectional, and both the screened-in porch and open air porch were hits.
We loved the close proximity to the beach, which was gorgeous and quite private. Due to the hurricanes, the pools were not open, as they were under repair, but with Covid, we were careful about staying to ourselves, regardless.
I’m not sure who had more fun walking the beach, myself, or the three grandkids! The water was a bit chilly in November, but the weather was a perfect mid seventies every day.
The house was completely furnished, and comfortable, yet charming. There were numerous stores and restaurants within a ten to fifteen min drive, and the Pensacola airport is a mere hour away.
We would def love to visit again, as we did not get to fish this time around. It was peaceful, tranquil and a perfect location in which to remember to be Thankful.
