Summary:
This beach cottage is classic Balboa Island. It's cozy, cute, and family-friendly! Just being a block away from the famous Newport Beach ferry, and not to mention all the amazing restaurants, markets, bakeries, and shops right there on the island! Perfect for couples, families, or a group of friends. The outside patio with a fire pit is perfect for making memories of a lifetime. The perfect island escape and vacation location!

The Space:
NEWLY Added EV Charger in the garage. It is a Level 2 charger that can change any car directly except Tesla [however, all Tesla’s come with an adaptor that will allow it to accept this J-1772 plug]. Alternatively if you have a portable charger in your vehicle, you should be able to plug directly into the Nema 220v 14-50 for charging.

Guest Access:
We have TWO Stand up Paddle Boards available for you to use in addition to TWO Soft Shell Surfboards available for your use and enjoyment. Many of our guests enjoy taking either the paddleboards or the surfboards out to paddle around the bay and view the boats and wildlife.

Beautiful neighborhood, steps to the bay and Marina. Very quiet and relaxing Community.Property was very well kept and clean, had everything we needed. The front patio area was a very nice area to barbecue and to relax around the fire pit. my family and I had a great time.

Love Balboa

We stay at alot of VBRO Rentals, this was by far the best. The location was amazing, the house was so fun. The process and comunication were top knotch. We even got to meet the owner eho eas also a great guy. They had everything wr needed for a great beach vacation.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time celebrating the new year on Balboa Island. The home is in a perfect location, set back from the main Balboa Island street which helps keep traffic and parking manageable while still in walking distance to everything.The home itself is very well appointed and the owner has thought of everything from lighting to toiletries. We VRBO a lot and haven't seen many little touches that this home includes. It was also VERY clean. The home is small and old, as are most rentals on the Island.There were plenty of towels and the kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were super comfortable too (even the couch). If I was forced to "complain" about anything, maybe the pillows could be replaced. But I am confident that if we would have asked, they would have sent some over. Skip was extremely communicative throughout the entire process and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner while we were there.A note about Balboa Island. This is a quaint beach location that might not be suitable for everyone. The homes are extremely close together (not a lot of privacy) and traffic and parking can be difficult (this home does have a wonderful garage with new washer and dryer for your use). Which means that you hear and see the neighbors regularly, and you share the streets with everyone. The neighbors are usually wonderful and we are familiar with the area so we knew what to expect. We loved staying in the pink house and are planning to stay again.

Fun weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this super cute place. We loved using the paddle boards and the accessibility to the water. The upstairs residents were so helpful and welcoming. We had great communication with the owner and property manager. It was the perfect fit for our family and we’d love to come back again.

The 3 bdrm was very clean and was fully equipped with kitchen utensils, extra pillows, sheets, blankets. Very quite area, excellent location. Could walk everywhere, no need for a car. Loved it.

If you are looking to stay at Balboa, this place is a gem. The property is just as advertised and is in an excellent location. The host does a great job with communication and has does a great job with the details. Little things like having sunscreen, a basket full of chargers, beach toys, plenty of towels, etc. I want to stay here again for sure. It was a treat!

The Pink House

My husband and I came to Balboa Island to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The pink house was a perfect choice to spend those days. It's very comfortable and quickly became our "home". The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Coffee in the morning and wine in the early evening on the patio was relaxing. Morning walks around the island, cute boutiques, good restaurants, and a lovely boat ride made the island and pink house the right place to stay. I recommend highly you stay here too.

Perfect!

We loved our stay in the pink house. Skip was responsive and extremely helpful. The house included thoughtful touches, comfortable furnishings and friendly neighbors. We’ve been coming to Balboa Island for years and this was our favorite trip. I highly recommend the Pink house. It’s close to the ferry and our favorite swimming beach. Skip and Jeff seemed invested in our having a relaxing, fun vacation. If I could give more stars, I would.

Spring break

My family and I stayed all week for Spring Break and loved it. The beds and linens were all very comfortable and better then other houses we have stayed in. The kitchen had a everything necessary to cook any type of meal. The garage was full of things to take to the beach and toys for the kids. There were several scooters and even a little kids scooter to use. The host text me throughout the stay asking if we needed anything and was very responsive from start to finish.

Spectacular property in a great location

This property is located away from the hustle & busy of Main Street Balboa, but within easy walking distance. It is well stocked, toiletries, kitchen supplies, dishes, games, and all the beach gear you need. The outdoor patio with the fireplace is a big plus. We spent time there every day. The manager is very quick to respond to questions also. In addition we had a parking space. Highly recommend this property❤️

Wonderful experience!

My family of 5 stayed here for 6 nights and we absolutely loved it! The house was exactly as described and even cuter in person then the pictures show. The outdoor patio was so nice and the house was stocked with everything we needed! We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you for such an enjoyable stay!

Balboa Island Fun!!

Beautiful, eclectic decor. Extremely clean and cozy. The front yard was a dream. This home had absolutely everything we could need and more. The towels and linens were amazing. Our family felt truly blessed and we had an incredible vacation enjoying the beaches, water sports, delicious restaurants and this awesome property.

Great house, spectacular location

Nice, clean, and comfortable house with modern decor and amenities. Garage had two SUP, two kids' kayaks, beach chairs, and umbrellas all neatly organized and ready to use. The beach is only around a hundred feet down the sidewalk. This is the 'quiet end' of the island and there's a lovely gas fire pit and chairs on the front patio to sit and enjoy the beautiful air. We had loads of fun and will definitely stay here again!

Great Spot!

Great place! Won't be disappointed. Only factors to consider. If you have a large truck it won't fit in the garage and street parking near the place during summer is difficult. AC is only window units in master and living room. 2 spare bedrooms have no AC at night. My kids do not do well in warm room sleeping. Otherwise perfect! Great kitchen supplies and beach stuff was great.

Well appointed, perfect location

We loved our stay at the "pink house." I go to Balboa often so am very familiar with the island. This home had excellent access to the boardwalk and beach (3 houses from sand), 2 blocks from the Ferry, and a 10 minute walk to main street. The house had everything you could want including paddle boards, kids kayaks, scooters, and toys. We loved the front porch with the fire pit too. Everything worked perfectly and there were many extra touches in the kitchen (great blender, coffee provided, host of spices for cooking). There was even extra sunscreen if we ran out. The home was very clean, the property manager was very thorough and helpful, and the upstairs neighbor is friendly and accommodating. We would love to return!

Iconic cozy Balboa cottage

Just enjoyed a long weekend with family in Newport Beach at he Pink House. It couldn’t have been more perfect. This property has everything. Comfy queen bed with soft fresh white linens. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of seating for visitors with meticulously chosen decor. Easy entry and great communication with the manager. I Highly recommend this convenient location and darling cottage for your Balboa vacation.
