This condo fit our vacation needs perfectly and our stay was great, though not totally seamless.
To start, the location of this condo on the island is perfect. The south end is more quiet and has a very large, deep section of beach between the condo and the ocean that is beautiful and is also incredibly smooth to walk through. It's also about a half mile away from a strip of good restaurants and shopping. Directly across the street is a bus stop for the tram that comes by hourly. It's also about a mile and a half away from the Publix on the island and was easily accessible by walking or biking. We had rented bikes for the week and did not have a car, and we had no problem getting where we wanted to go. By taking the tram we were able to get to the north end of the island within minutes.
About three miles south of the condo is Lovers Key State Park, which was a pleasantly peaceful place to ride bikes near channels and water ways that weave through the key. There are also a couple beaches on the key with nice fine sand and clear water.
To speak to the condo itself-
Check in was a little bit of a hassle as it requires you to do some paperwork and send it in prior to your stay as well as filling out paper forms to hand in at the office on site upon arrival. Instructions for key retrieval were fairly simple and entry to the condo was also simple, though the lock was a little tricky.
The condo was very clean with the exception of worn (and a little stained) carpet throughout. The furniture, sheets, bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms also seemed very clean.
The condo comes stocked with extra sheets and towels, but does not come stocked with toiletries or extra dish soap/ laundry soap besides one load each. There were also plenty of beach towels. There were a few pool noodles but no beach toys, so we bought some that week and left them at the condo.
One thing to note to those traveling between May and October- it is sea turtle season where they come to the beach to lay and hatch their eggs. During this time all outside lights on the condo must remain off and all indoor lights must be dimmed at night. The condo association takes this very seriously and we were reminded many times to keep the lights low, despite us keeping them nearly as low as possible with the shades down. The condo is not equipped with darkening shades in the living room, so keeping the light levels low was difficult.
Overall we loved our stay and would recommend this condo!
