While technically ocean front, meaning nothing between us and the ocean, you can’t see anything to the left of you at all except the wall of the building. So you can’t see the sun rise at all, which was very disappointing as I have a medical condition and can’t be in the sun at all so I have to vacation on the porch (which I don’t mind at all so that my family can enjoy the beach). The beds were very uncomfortable. The living room and master bedroom could be arranged better so that you can actually see the ocean. There is more than enough room to do this. The pillows were all stained, one with blood. All of the dishes had to be re-washed. The property itself: the hot tubs and indoor pool have been closed for over a year for repairs, it looks like a construction zone. We were told it would be “quite awhile” before it gets done. The on-site restaurant won’t do take out on the weekends because they are too busy.
And as a suggestion, most owners have a binder of some sort with locations of stores, restaurants, etc. we had to Google everything. And plan ahead when coming here, you are on the tip of the island and the nearest store is almost 20 min away.
We love Topsail and have been coming here for 10 years, this was just a bit disappointing for us.
