Lovely house and beautiful location. Very nicely outfitted. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Only one criticism: although there were four bathrooms as advertised (actually 3 baths and one lavatory) the location of the rooms is awkward. The main shower is located in the common area between the kitchen and living room. Not ideal.

Took the whole crew-four couples-and put up for a full week in this big old cozy place on the Maine coast. Beautiful home located near the quiet side of Acadia National Park-Schoodic Peninsula. This home worked out really well for us, plenty of room so nobody got underfoot. It felt like a proper house, not some polished tourist trap, Kitchen's wide open and solid. All of us could pile in and cook without tripping over each other. Pantry was stocked decent and had enough pots and pans and gear that we didn't have to run to town once. We boiled up lobster right there and ate good every night. After a delicious meal we took a walk around the rustic, quiet, scenic neighborhood and enjoyed all the beautiful views of Frenchman Bay. We came back to a roaring fire in the fireplace. Such a wonderful cozy ambience. For a week with four couples this place is hard to beat. Space, a kitchen that works, and a quiet, woods near Schoodic. We would not think twice of booking it again.

Beautiful Sorrento Home

We had such a wonderful time at this location. The venue was perfect and had everything we could have wanted to make an enjoyable vacation. The walks in the neighborhood were peaceful and lovely views of Frenchman Bay and Acadia National Park.

Very relaxing location

A great place to stay if your looking for a quiet week. Its about 45 minutes to acadia and most things to do with kids. If you dont mind a little drive to be able to get a peaceful place away from all the crowds I would highly recommend.

Girls Trip

We had the best time staying in Sorrento. Miranda was a very gracious host. The house was amazing and very comfortable for all five of us. We enjoyed the location and walking along the beach. We felt very safe staying in this area. We look forward to returning.

Quiet serenity

This property is located close enough to visit Bar Harbor several times during our stay yet far enough away to enjoy a quiet, rural setting. The area is beautiful! If you want both a quiet retreat with day trips to see lighthouses, whale watching tours, leaf peeping, and so much more, you’ll enjoy this location.

Gorgeous Stay

My family and I had a wonderful escape from the city. We enjoyed the foggy nights and riding bikes around Sorrento. Cozy, gorgeous home. One hour to Acadia National Park - we drove there three of our days there.

Sorrento home

Beautiful home, so spacious, great quality kayaks, fun board games, many amenities, great location, friendly locals, great seafood, lovely morning walks by the water so so close to the house, Acadia and the hikes are great, Bar Harbor fun and such great owner communication! Made great memories! You’ll enjoy it!

The house is a hidden gem! It is across the street f/m the bay with stunning views of MDI/Bar Harbor

Enjoyed the walks in the neighborhood and along the bay and the marina, the fireplace, the chairs on the lawn, the beds, great library, games. Every element of this 4-seasons house, interior, exterior, and grounds, is very well thought of and intended to provide enjoyable time. Many establishments were closed for the season when we visited in early October and still, we had plenty to do. Only minor setback was that if you are looking for big supermarket, you have to go to Ellsworth or Trenton. However, Ellsworth and Trenton are on the way to Acadia/MDI/Bar Harbor and very convenient to stop by in one of the big supermarkets or Walmart there. Alternatively, there are also two or three smaller places available nearby for general food or house necessities or to grab prepared food if you don't want to cook. We stayed 9 days and loved every moment of it.

This lovely, spacious home was very comfortable for 2 couples vacationing together. Conveniently located near the water for peaceful walks and bike rides along the shore, this house was such a treat. The village of Sorrento is stunningly beautiful and at the end of August was very peaceful. Sorrento was a short drive to Rt 1 where we could venture out to explore other areas of the "Downeast coast." We'd love to return!

Loved this rental

The property and the view of Frenchman's Bay were all that the pictures portrayed! Communication with the owner was easy, and we were given everything we needed to make our stay easy. Everyone had a great time. We would definitely choose this again!

What a place!!

We had a truly wonderful week enjoying this property and the beautiful natural surroundings. The house is clean, open plan, and really captures the spirit of the area. Great views to the harbor, islands, and the mountains of Acadia National Park. The owners are wonderful, and really care about the home and the enjoyment of their guests.
