暖炉のあるこの暖かく、静かでモダンな3ベッドルームの別荘は、カイコウラタウンシップの南12 kmにある小さな集落のペケタにあり、カフタラの素晴らしいサーフィンビーチの向かいにあります。 お子様用の完全にフェンスで囲まれた大きなプライベートガーデンの素晴らしいデッキと屋外エンターテイメントエリアへの大きな折りたたみ式ドアを開きます。 ベルバードをはじめとする在来鳥が生息する在来樹木に囲まれています。
また、年長の子供が2つの寝台と小さなデッキ、ハンモック、スイングで宿泊できる庭の寝台もあります。

ラベンダー農場、乗馬トレッキング、バードウォッチング、ブッシュとビーチウォーク、スターウォッチング、レストラン、ブドウ園、ゴルフコース、サーフキャスティング、釣り、シュノーケリング、ダイビング、水泳など、近くにはたくさんのアクティビティがあります。 マウントライフォードスキー場は1時間のドライブで、もちろんホエールウォッチング、イルカと泳ぐ、アザラシがいます。 冬の間、オハウ滝プールでアザラシの子を見ることができます。
週に1泊、週末に2泊の最小滞在。
家には、電子レンジ、テレビ、ビデオ、電話、CDプレーヤー、洗濯機、アイロン、ガスバーベキュー、冷蔵庫/冷凍庫を備えた新しいモダンなキッチンがあります。

Carol was excellent on her communication and explaining all details of the property.The property is so lovely with the birds and has a great amount of space that you feel comfortable in the surroundings.The cottage is cosy and clean with all amenities that make your holiday relaxing . We were sad to say goodbye to this Kaikoura oasis !

Lovely stay in a quiet location

My partner and I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend in Peketa. We chose the cottage as a base for visiting Kaikōura as we wanted a nice private, quiet space. It was perfect for us. Well equipped, comfy and warm. We’d definitely stay again.

So peaceful!

A lovely house and very serene back yard. We loved having the peaceful outdoor space after three weeks in hotels. Conveniently close to town. Would stay there again except for longer.

Holiday Bliss

This hidden holiday home was so quiet and tranquil, very clean, comfortable with a lovely outdoor area to relax in. Everything we required was available for our use and communication with Carol was excellent. We would definitely stay there again and the distance from Kaikoura was not an issue.

This was a beautiful property on great grounds, so nice and tidy and had wverythibg we could have possibly needed. The fire place was a grat featire for the cold days. Great location, just south if the airport. Will highly recommend to friends and family.

Great for a couple with young kids

12k’s from Kaikōura is not far, and Peketa has a beach and a motor camp with its own shop for necessities less than 200 m away. The property is fully fenced with a big, tidy and well designed backyard. It’s nicely done and welcoming. We would stay again.

Comfy gem in Kaikoura

Very clean, quiet home in a suburban setting, conveniently about 10 minutes from Kaikoura township, beach and walking spots. Comfy beds and living area. Delightful outdoor spaces for relaxing during the day or into the evening. Kitchen well provisioned. Really enjoyed our stay and will return!

Im born and bred in NZ and by renting out my holiday home occasionally it helps me pay for the upkeep. Now that I am retired I can also spend more time there which I never get sick of.
I enjoy sharing my place with visitors from NZ and all around the world and really delight in the fact that they're enjoying the place too, which increases the great energy I believe is present in the house and garden and the area generally....

Romantic cottage is nestled between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean in the small settlement of Peketa, just a short drive away from the township of Kaikoura. Most people visit to enjoy the fishing, diving, walks, whale watching and surfing that this area of the country provides, but there are lots of other outdoor activities to enjoy as well.
I love taking the boat out fishing, mainly catching Blue cod, Perch and occasionally Terakihi and putting the Cray pots out in the bay. We always come home with lovely fresh seafood. While out in the boat we see lots of different birds including the Blue eyed penguin, Mollyhawks, gulls, Cormorants and the occasional albatross. Of course there are usually Dolphins of various types, seals and this summer 2025 there have been several Orcas and we were able to watch two, an adult and young one fishing very close to the slip way in South bay! Several years ago whilst fishing in the boat quite close to shore by one of the tunnels a whale breached only several metres away from us which was just magical....

Great base for relaxing, fishing, diving and boating....The garden and outdoor entertainment area are popular with my visitors and relaxing outdoors at night with a glass of wine around the outdoor fire having a BBQ meal with the solar lights on is very special.....
It is very quiet and private. There is no light pollution so on a clear night the night sky is awesome....
