Instaworthy sunsets and views from the private backyard dock. Private room with bathroom and private entrance in a beautiful Nags Head style, cedar shake house on a one-of-a-kind, gorgeous soundfront lot. Located on the newly improved bike path, this home is just a short bike ride from the Atlantic Ocean and the Wright Brothers National Memorial. Bring your stand up paddle board or use our kayaks to launch off the dock, or enjoy fishing and crabbing without having to drive anywhere!

Easy to find following owner directions. Clean 2nd floor bedroom with its own entrance. Parking was inconvenient - small driveway without much room to turn around and 3 owner vehicles to contend with daily. Suite must be off the owner kitchen because we could smell food as well as loud voices occasionally.

Nice quiet little getaway

Cathy’s rental is small, but very tidy and in tucked into a beautiful neighborhood. It was nice and cool in the ac, incredibly clean and easy to find. We didn’t get to enjoy a sunset because the weather was stormy both nights, but Cathy offered her incredible dock on the sound for catching sunsets and serenity. We loved our stay! *Note that this room is attached to their home so you can hear everyone in the home and they can hear you. This was fine for us as we were gone during the day for the most part.

A comfy studio

Small space that felt big. Everything was clean and well decorated. Perfect for those looking to relax after long days of fun on OBX. No kitchen or microwave, but we planned to eat out anyway. The dock was amazing for morning coffee and evening sunsets. The basics you need all done very well. The host was responsive and check in was a breese

Nice time on the dock, not as private as I wanted

This is a room within a home that has a private entrance and was closed off to the rest of the house. I could hear people from within the house through a mysterious door in the room that was locked and I can assume led to the rest of the home. The dock is very nice, however, we had to climb over a boat trailer on the side of the house to get it to from the room. The room faces the front of the house, so your view out the window is of the driveway. The room was nice and we had a nice time fishing on the dock. The bed was comfortable. Overall, if you’re just looking for a room to stay on the sound, this is a great choice. If you’re looking for a private getaway with your partner, I would look somewhere else.

Host was great, and responded quickly to any and all messages. The view of the sunset from the dock was better then described! The fish were very active and jumping everywhere while we watched the sunset. The neighborhood was beautiful and made for a nice evening walk.

26th Wedding Anniversary

It was a wonderful stay. Location was great. Five minute drive to ocean, shopping, and eating. The room was clean and one of the most comfortable beds to sleep in.

I require quiet & no light pollution to sleep ; this little room was the perfect pick.

Spectacular salt breeze on pier at sunset. Reminded me of where I grew up on the river, quiet like home was. Wonderful find to stay; bed, bath, quiet & No Light Pollution.

Anniversary stay

Me and my girlfriend stayed here from 7/2 to 7/7, and our 3 year anniversary was on the 5th. This room is perfect for two trying to stay close to the beach, and everything else. Right next to wright brothers national memorial. We definitely enjoyed our stay and the owners were very nice. Thank you for letting us stay.

Hi, I'm Cathy! My Adam husband and I live in Kill Devil Hills with our two children. We LOVE the Outer Banks and have both lived here for 20+ years. Our favorite things to do are hang out and watch the sunset on our dock, travel and explore cool new places, watch our kids play sports and spend lazy days at the beach with friends and family.

We purchased this property in the fall of 2019 because we fell in love with the gorgeous view! It's truly the most gorgeous place on the Outer Banks.
