Our newly renovated, spacious, home is very well-maintained just for you, and sparkling clean. Kure'd Away is beautifully decorated and well-appointed for all the comforts of home. Prepare your favorite dishes in our unusually well-stocked gourmet kitchen with high-quality dishes, silverware, cookware, cutlery, and many upscale serving pieces. Celebrate the sunrise with coffee on our private master bedroom balcony for unforgettable memories.



Welcome to the highly desirable Ocean Dunes resort! Our vacation rental is located on the oceanfront, giving you access to an expanse of stunning beachfront views at the southern tip of Pleasure Island. Enjoy the amenities of the resort, including multiple outdoor pools, tennis courts, shuffleboard, grills, and playgrounds for the kids. After a day at the beach, visit the recreation center for an indoor pool, spa, sauna, exercise room, and clubhouse. Relax, unwind, and make lasting memories at this beautiful destination! Note: there are no facilities at Ocean Dunes for charging golf carts. Ocean Dunes covered parking is not suitable for large SUVs, please seek a first come first serve visitor parking spot for large vehicles. Always use your parking pass!

Assigned covered parking for two vehicles, and exterior stairs to the property level.

Fitness Center across the street from the 2100 building.

The Rec Center pool is open year-round except holidays or for any routine or emergency maintenance scheduled at the Rec Center.    



Level 1: 

Gourmet Kitchen: full kitchen, Keurig - K-Duo 12-Cup Coffee Maker and Single Serve K-Cup Brewer

Dining Room: seating for eight at the table

Living Room: Oceanfront, large sectional sofa and ottoman, oversized chair, 65-inch smart TV with sound bar, decorative fireplace, access to oceanfront patio.

Oceanfront Deck: access from the living room and overlooks the ocean, 4 seat table, 2 barstools, 2 high-chairs, 2 lounge chairs.

Wet bar

Guest Bedroom 1: Queen over Queen bunk beds with twin trundle, 40-inch smart TV

Full Bathroom: Vanity, shower/tub combo



Level 2:

Primary Bedroom Suite: Oceanfront, king-size bed, ceiling fan, 50-inch smart TV, private access to the deck. Ensuite Bathroom: Vanity, shower/tub combo, with an ocean view from bath window.

Guest bedroom 2: Upstairs, king bed, 50-inch smart TV, with en suite bath with vanity and shower/tub combo

Washer and Dryer: In the hallway



Parking:

Assigned Parking Labeled 1502 - Under Building. Guest parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis



Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and lying on the end of the beds. 



Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Things to bring:

Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm

Check-out is by 10 am. 

We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.



Guest Access:

Electronic entry.



House Rules:

No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities 

No smoking

You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.



Pool Notice:

Pools are generally open from Memorial Day until Labor Day; however, pool closures may be dictated by the HOA or the Health Department. Pools may also be closed after a hurricane or tropical storm. Sea Coast Rentals/Owners will not be held accountable. No refunds will be issued for these closures.



Pet Policy:

No pets allowed. 

**Per Ocean Dunes HOA, no travelers are permitted to bring pets. Owners only.**



Cancellation Policy:

We want to make sure you’re aware of our cancellation policy. If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.



Things to do:

Adventure awaits. Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or enjoy a relaxing ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a quaint little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famous Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. Whether it’s exploring activities on the island, enjoying the ocean views, or enjoying a cocktail by sunset from your own private balcony, Pleasure Island offers diversion for every enthusiast!

Explore the treasures of Carolina Beach, ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine. One of the last remaining beach boardwalks on the East Coast, it includes a variety of restaurants, an arcade, shops, ice cream, Famous Britts Donuts, bars, and more! During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Annual off-season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

The Neighborhood:

Sea Coast Input - Carolina Beach boardwalk offers shopping, locally owned restaurants , ice cream & fudge shops and let’s not forget the vibrant nightlife. During the summer months the local gazebo has live music and bingo. Fishing charter boats, nightly party cruises, pontoon boats are also available. Or explore the Carolina Beach State Park. Neighboring Kure beach offers a charming downtown with locally owned restaurants ,Oceanfront park and a 712-foot long fishing pier. Fort Fisher is located at the southern end of the island where you can visit the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum and the North Carolina Aquarium. There are approximately 10 golf courses within a 1 hour drive and for those “historic” buffs, take a day trip to Downtown Wilmington or one of the other local islands via ferry.



Getting Around:

Sea Coast Input : Parking may be limited during the summer months (public parking is available through Pleasure Island at an hourly rate).

Carolina / Kure Beach is easily navigable once you're here. Our beach towns are very accessible and family friendly for vehicles, bikes and golf carts. Renting bikes and golf carts is a breeze with the many rental companies on the island. Advance reservations are recommended beach accessories. Escape the hustle and bustle of the beaches of Carolina/Kure Beach and explore the Carolina Beach state park and its’ many hiking trails. Or the Carolina Beach Greenway walking trail.

For a day trip travel from Ft. Fisher to Southport aboard the Southport Car Ferry and their many antique stores.
