The Keys Cottage is ready to offer unforgettable memories to anyone eager to enjoy paradise. This Tropical Island Paradise is a private and spacious duplex vacation rental. The property is located in the island village of Key Colony Beach, directly across from the Key Colony Beach golf and tennis park. It is also near fine dining establishments, a post office, and a world-class charter boat fleet, as well as just a few blocks from the beautiful Sunset Park on the ocean. Cabana Club Membership (access to a private beach and pool) is included in all rentals.

The Keys Cottage occupies the entire second floor, offering a newly remodeled 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom layout with over 1,600 sq. ft. of private waterfront living on the serene island of Key Colony Beach, adjacent to Marathon. The property features two stunning terraces: one at the front of the house, overlooking the Key Colony Park, and the other at the back, facing the canal. From both terraces, you can enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Additionally, guests can relax on the spacious and newly renovated patio terrace on the first floor, which overlooks the canal and provides an ideal spot to watch the sunset.

No boats or trailers are allowed on this property, as the owner’s boats are already parked here.

The host was terrific on all levels!! Loved the decor! Loved the outdoor areas and spent a lot of time on the upper level porch deck overlooking the canal. Had a great stay!!

Had a lot of fun fishing off the back dock, lots of good food in the area, neighborhood is very laid back.

We enjoyed our stay here. The property was equipped with everything you could think of needing. The outdoor area was very spacious and we were able to enjoy the large decks. The Cabana Club access might have been the best amenity. We spent several days there and loved the friendly atmosphere! Our only concern was that the external cameras were listed as being used for safety, but there were many times we felt our privacy was being invaded. We even heard people talking through the cameras to us.

I will contact a technician to have the system checked. The only possible explanation I can think of at this moment is interference from the neighboring property or the unit below. We had a wonderful stay at this property. The owner was excellent communicating with us in handling some unexpected things that came up. Home is lovely, beds are super comfortable and the house was equipped with all that we needed.

Overall, I am delighted. The house was a perfect jumping-off point for excursions to the lower and middle keys. The house itself is very well appointed and we especially loved the deck. great place to unwind at the end of the day.

Setting was excellent, very quiet area, enjoyed watching the boats go out and come in with their catch of the day but it amazed us watching the pelicans fly in from nowhere to get the boat owners fish leftovers. Also enjoyed seeing manatees in the canal. Very relaxing vacation.

Wonderful home

Stayed here over Easter with my family. We loved the property. Everything was nice and clean, kitchen had all the items/utensils we required. Cabana club is lovely. We sat out on the wonderful porch for breakfast and dinner to enjoy the great views. Host was very easy/pleasant to communicate with. Excellent experience.

Stay was good, one roll toilet paper per bathroom for a week stay was not nearly enough when you’ve flown in. Confusion about the patio situation. We were under the impression we would have access to Tiki hut area and lounge chairs. Lower level renters had this exclusively.

That’s why I found your review a bit confusing. Of course, everyone is entitled to share their opinion, but it's important to stick to the facts. First, I want to clarify that I have never mentioned a tiki hut in the listing, nor is there any photo suggesting one. I have a beautiful terrace for guests to enjoy, but there is no tiki — nor is one advertised. Perhaps you’re referring to a neighboring property that does have a tiki; if that’s a feature you value, maybe that would be a better fit for your next stay. Secondly, it's disappointing that you expected a full week's supply of household items for a short-term rental. While the property is stocked with essentials to help guests get settled — such as a new roll of toilet paper, coffee, sugar, bottled water, soap, napkins, tissues, shampoo, dish soap, and laundry detergent — these are complimentary starter items, not meant to last for an entire week. Above all, I want to emphasize that every photo and detail in my listing accurately reflects the property. This is not a full-time rental; it’s my personal home during most of the year, and I care for it deeply. I wish you the best of luck in your future stays at other properties.

Awesome !

This is a wonderful property in a great location. Description and pictures are on the money. We are a group of college friends, all in our late 70's and the property was perfect for us. We enjoyed two days in Key West , the Truman White House, the Hemingway House and the Butterfly Garden. And, of course, Sloppy Joes and the Hogs Breath Saloon. The Cabana was better than pictured and offered great food and drinks. And something that I hope you don't have to use, but I took a fall and needed to visit the ER at Fisherman's Hospital. Amazingly quick, friendly and professional service. Fortunately, just a deep thigh bruise.

Great place

We loved our stay. The house was very clean. Great views abs the fans really helped with the no see ums. You can walk to everything including our favorite, the cabana club. Would def stay here again

Absolutely Gorgeous Property

The house was perfect for our family. It is located on a channel where we saw crab, lobster, jellyfish, shrimp, multiple kinds of fish and a few manatees. Was like having your own personal aquarium in your backyard. Key Colony is a cute little neighborhood where you felt safe and everyone was very polite. Cabana Club was a great perk to staying with this house. Only downfall is you are not able to take your own drinks/food into the club. You must purchase there. Seemed pricey, but once you went to other establishments, their prices were very reasonable. They do have ice water available that you can have for free. Needed to contact the house owner while we were there and she responded immediately. Very nice and easy to work with! Highly recommend this location, it won’t disappoint!
