Centrally ocated in Kill Devil Hills in a neighborhood community on the west side of the bypass. It's a very short drive of a few minutes to the ocean or the sound or to the bike and walking path in the woods. Plenty of parking, even room for a boat. When not out playing or sightseeing, enjoy the large fenced in back yard and the back deck for grilling out. Or simply enjoy relaxing on the front porch. House is situated on a quarter acre, quiet and peaceful.

Accommodations in the house include a Master bedroom on the main level with a king size bed and a full bath. Main level has open concept living room and dining area with table for six and a kitchen with island seating for two. Plus a laundry room with washer and dryer.

Upstairs are three more bedrooms; two with queen beds, and one with a full bed. Another full bathroom is upstairs.

Bedroom features:
- Large upstairs master bedroom, Purple Room, queen, with a massage chair in the
sitting area
- Bedroom with queen bed, Blue Room, with a large screen TV
- Bedroom with duble bed, Tangerine Room, (accessed through
bedroom #2 with a door for privacy) has a desk for school work
or working from home.

Your stay includes the following:

- Linens: beds will be made up upon your arrival, one set of towels will be provided for each registered guest.
- WiFi
- Three large screen TV’s set up for streaming (no cable) one on main level living room, one in master bedroom and one in an upstairs bedroom
- Paper products – 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and 2 rolls of paper towels
- Full kitchen with coffee, tea, sugars, powered creamer and spices
- Gas grill with grilling tools
- Beach towels, beach umbrella and a cooler are provided, along with 4 folding
lawn/beach chairs and three boogie boards. And a cornhole set.

Local area information
Kitty Hawk Family House is centrally located less than a mile from the beach and a half mile from the sound.
Restaurants within walking distance (1/2 miles from the house): Plaza Azteca, Pigman;s BBQ, Mama Kwan's Tiki Bar and Grill, Stack 'em High Pancakes, Dominos Pizza and fast food chains. Dozens more restaurants are only a short drive away.

OBX attractions include the Wright Brothers Monument, Jockey's Ridge and the NC Aquarium in Manteo. Nature trails and parks are close by. For a day trip, explore the lighthouses on Hatteras Island or see the wild horses in Corolla.

Beach parking - while the beach is close enough, it is recommended to drive as you have to cross a busy highway. The beaches and beach parking are all free at the Outer Banks. www.obxbeachaccess.com

Great location

We had a great time over 4th of July weekend. The house is bigger in person than the photos. Very clean and well maintained. Owner had great communication and check in/out was easy and explained on the info sheet in kitchen area. Neighborhood was quiet and parking was ample.

Has EVERYTHING you need!

This home has ALL the extras and a wonderful host! Laundry soap, dishwasher pods, paper towels, coffee, tin foil, beach toys/boogie boards, umbrella. These things all make such a big difference! Michelle went above and beyond for us by arranging to get a high chair, pack and play and baby stroller for our stay! This location is great and super close to everything. Definitely walking distance to things but we drove because we stayed with 5 kids. We enjoyed every minute of our 10 day stay!

Could have been better

The property is great. it was clean and the proximity to areas close to the beaches and light houses in the area. When we were in the property, we did face challenges with the downstairs bathroom as both the toilet and the bathtub were clogging and backed up. the owner tried to fix it promptly, but the problem was not fixed, and our guests did not feel comfortable using it since just after one use, it backed up again. finally we ended up using the bathroom upstairs which did cause inconvenience since we were 8 of us... it delayed our trips to various places... overall although the place was good and the host was prompt.. we were inconvenienced.

Family Beach Trip!

What a wonderful place! It was nice, clean, and the backyard was spacious with a hammock. It was a lovely home away from home. My only small suggestion would be a lamp for the living room. We loved the different themed rooms and the porch was nice to sit on. We would definitely stay again.

Perfect beach vacation!

We initially were concerned that we wouldn’t be close enough to the beach but the beach is not far and very easy to access. You do need to drive (my teenagers walked a few times) but there are multiple access points to the public beach with no trouble parking. We went over every morning to watch the sunrise and spent afternoons there. House was spacious, clean and had everything we needed to cook. The only negative for us was not enough couch space for the family to sit and relax in the evening. We had a good time and recommend this place for others!

Great home away from home

Loved the set up, rooms and backyard. Kitchen area and dining room area very homey. Only negative was television set up. The remotes were mismatched and were only able to get television in livingroom working. Close to so many attractions. Host easy to geta hold of and quick to respond. All 7 of us enjoyed our stay.

Great place for a family gathering!

Great place for a family gathering for 8 people. Location was central to the beach, grocery stores, and restaurants. Michelle was quick to respond to my questions. We utilized the grill, washer/dryer, and dishwasher every day with no issues. The AC worked great which was so nice after hot days at the beach. Would stay again!

Excellent property, clean!

We enjoyed our stay for 3 nights at this property, it was well maintained and very clean. Has a very nice backyard with a hammock and ample space! Great place to stay! The host was very accommodating!

Had a great week at the beach. This house was nice as it was ground level access no carrying bags snd groceries up the stairs. Had chairs, umbrella, lunch cooler and boogie boards to use which was very nice. Had plenty of room for our group of 6. Spacious and close to everything

The house had plenty of space for us to spread out and enjoy, including a big backyard with patio furniture and hammock. It was centrally located and close to everything if you have access to a car. Very much enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this place!

I've lived at the Outer Banks for over 20 years, I love sharing the island with guests. The beach, the sound and the nature preserves are all very relaxing. There are adventure parks and lots of water and land activities to keep you busy if you are active. Or explore history by visiting the Wright Brothers Monument. There is a guide book at the house with menus and flyers of some of my favorite places. Enjoy your stay!
