We really enjoyed our stay in Jax at this unique home. The location is great- walkable to the beach, restaurants and shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the owner/mgt company was super-responsive to us during our visit. Quiet neighborhood - nice place to relax.

Perfect little retro beach house with a really fun yard!

We had never played bocci ball court style before this past weekend and had an absolute blast in competitive play! Everyone and especially the kids enjoyed swimming in the heated pool while the adults hung out and enjoyed the good eats in and around the very spacious patio table while watching the game on the large outdoor tv. The decor inside made you feel like you were in another country far away besides the 5 blocks to Jax beach just steps away. We enjoyed walking to check out the sunsets and playing in the waves. We would definitely recommend Surf Mod to friends and family again and use Welcome Home Rentals as our go to for any Jax Beach stays in the future!

Absolutely beautiful! Has everything you need! We went with our one year old grandson and having the pool was a highlight for him and also for us when he took a nap. So close to the beach and food. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely be coming back.

Great house and location

The house was exactly as pictured and super clean! The backyard was amazing. Wish we had warmer weather and more time to enjoy it. Mike was extremely helpful and quick to respond. We will be back!

Quirky House with an Awesome Backyard close to the beach

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my mom’s 93rd BD. We had a range of ages including small children. The amenities were great-the backyard with pool and bocce allowed for great fun. The owners have plenty of beach gear in great condition too and a working grill. We had a lot of family fun.

Perfection!!

My family loved this house and the location was absolutely perfect! The walk to the beach is super easy and the drive was only seconds! The house was so exciting and visually yummy! All the kids were so impressed by the colors and decor, the pool and back yard was the icing on the cake. The beds were very comfortable and the set up of the house was perfect! Plus they provided all the chairs we needed for our family so we didnt have to travel with them. The house is located so close to all the things we needed! We can not recommend this house enough!

It's Giving Artistic Vibes

My family really enjoyed this house. The entire property is clean inside and out. The pictures show the house exactly as it is, but you must stay to get the full scope of how unique it is. The decor is very different from what I've seen in houses but we all loved it!! Felt like we were on an artist's retreat. The location is quiet and relaxing, and you definitely can't beat the outdoor living space. My only wish was that the weather had been better so my kids could enjoy the pool more.

Fantastic

It is the perfect house with the best backyard I have ever seen! We loved the pool and the artificial turf! It was just beautiful. Weather was not good while we were there, but the screened in porch was the perfect place to watch the rain. Love the house, would book it again in a second. And Mike is the perfect host who responds very quickly to any questions we had. The weather is the only thing that could have made our stay better. If it wasn't for the backyard and great host, the week would have been a wash!

Surf Mod Rental

Our family stayed in the Surf Mod home and loved it every minute of it! The house is beautifully decorated eccentric artwork. The home was spacious, clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need during your vacation. The lanai area and back yard were fantastic! It was like you were in your own little retreat! The home was just minutes from a ton of restaurants and the beach. They can even assist you in renting golf carts if you’re interested. Mike was easy to work with and provided a wonderful property. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Exceeded Expectations!

This was our 1st time vacationing at Surf Mod, using this mgt company and visiting this area. This home is vibrant, unique, clean and it was a pleasure to return to every day! The home was fully stocked with plenty of bath & beach towels, bath products, kitchen and beach needs, coffee, etc. All we needed was our suitcase and sunscreen! The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of additional pillows and a couple of stand-alone fans, if needed. Although we walked on the beach every day, we opted for the home's outdoor backyard and pool for our afternoons. The pool, outdoor furniture, bocci and cornhole was fantastic! The fully fenced in backyard was very private and great for our dog to snooze in the sun. The street was not only quiet at night, but during the day. We rarely saw any neighbors and mostly only dog walkers. The mgt company responded quickly to any questions before or during our stay. We had a minor house issue (outside of anyone’s control) and the mgt company quickly remedied the situation. The mgt company was easy to work with from booking through checkout and had friendly and respectful svc reps. The beach is an easy walk to the end of the street and it's nice, flat, bikeable and had minimal people. We enjoyed lots of great restaurants, breweries, etc. within a short drive of the home. A 'local' told us about "The Corner" (AKA Beaches Town Center officially) which we visited a few times for shopping and dining. All in all, we found Surf Mod, the mgt company and this area to be a great vacation spot and hope to have the opportunity to visit in the future!

Small House Be Prepared

This property was okay. I travel frequently for business and pleasure and I am not picky. Yet, I was so happy to leave this place after my stay. The house is so small and cramped and it is full of random decor that takes up a lot of space. The fact that the title says Design Masterpiece is misleading. The pictures make it look so much bigger. Two people cannot fit in the kitchen so making meals is annoying. The bedrooms have only room for the beds and 1-2 small tables. There was nowhere to put your suitcase/clothing as the closets are teeny tiny and there were no hangers or luggage racks. The pool equipment is so noisy and up against the house that it kept people in our group up all night. The landscape lights are on 24/7 and they shine into the windows at night even though there is a thin window shade. We had two SUVs and could not fit them in the driveway side by side. The pool and backyard are great and that was the redeeming factor of our stay. I feel like I way overpaid considering the quality of this place.

Beautiful back yard ...

First the positive: gorgeous pool and back yard (be careful - the turf gets HOT in the sun); excellent communication with host - very responsive; location is great - close to beach & Metro Diner; well equipped with plenty of beach gear - chairs, umbrellas, etc. However, there were a few misleading details on the listing: 1. there is no en suite for the primary bedroom; the bathroom listed is the hall bath which all 3 rooms have to share and it is tiny; the other bathroom is on the opposite end of the house in an addition. 2. Guest bed 2 was a full bed, not a queen as listed and there was no TV in that room. Additionally, the bedrooms were very small with limited furniture - no place to put away clothes other than closet and no space for suitcases, etc. The a/c was not able to keep up and the living room addition only cooled down at night. The kitchen is tiny; there was no place to store food other than limited counter space. Stove and dishwasher need to be replaced and there were issues with the seemingly new refrigerator. The house is nice but very small; I expected more for the price.

Very good

The house is very spacious with a big screened in porch and back yard. We were allowed to bring our fur baby which was awesome. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. They had tons of beach chairs and beach towels available. While technically within walking distance of the beach- you do have to cross a busy road so it would be difficult to do with all beach toys in tow. But public parking/drop off is readily accessible. Management was accessible but neither ice maker worked and no one seemed able to fix. But we made do by buying bags of ice. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay. .

Loved the Vibe

The pictures on-line don't do this property justice. It is definitely not traditionally decorated, but it is a very comfortable and wonderful place to stay. The walk to the beach is short and easy and it is very well stocked with the little things like laundry supplies, dishwashing soap, shower supplies, and other things that make renting a house easy.

Most incredible vacation rental

This home was like a little bit of heaven. The attention to everything we could possibly need or want, to the beyond amazing and eclectic decor, to the comfort of the entire house and screened in porch, to the awesome toiletries, it was beyond incredible. We hope to return at another time. The beds were so luxurious and comfortable, and very high. Only problem is I am only 4 feet 11 inches. I suggest having a step stool for people like me. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

This property was absolutely phenomenal! Hosts were welcoming and accommodating. The house was inviting and felt like a 5 star resort with everyday items stocked and ready to use. The location was perfect! It was close enough for a short walk to the beach but back in a friendly neighborhood allowing privacy. I highly recommend this property!

Great location, inspiring space

We enjoyed our stay and were amazed at the level of thoughtfulness that went into the rental. So many items of forethought were provided to make us feel perfectly at home and inspired by the decor, level of attention to detail.. Great location walking distance to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores Only wish we could've stayed longer. Will definitely be back.
