The Plantations at Princeville Resort is a gem on Kauai’s North Shore! Within walking distance to beaches, restaurants, shopping, and world-class golf, it’s just a short drive to picturesque Hanalei Bay. This peaceful complex features beautifully landscaped grounds with vibrant flora!

Plantations at Princeville #821 is a lovely top-floor condominium among swaying palm trees, overlooking the resort-style pool. You’ll enjoy the large, covered lanai with oversized patio furniture, perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. This desirable top floor offers cooling trade-winds and stunning sunset views!

Step inside to a large, inviting common area that connects all spaces seamlessly. The open floor plan is ideal for entertaining, with a clean and refreshing bright white palette and ocean blue accents. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and abundant windows illuminate the home and allow for excellent circulation of Kauai’s cooling tradewinds, along with central air conditioning.

The comfortable living area features island-style wood furniture and modern decor for a tropical vibe. Enjoy cozy movie nights with an ideally placed corner entertainment system. The adjacent dining area has a large wood table set for six.

The fully-equipped kitchen includes a side-by-side refrigerator, updated appliances, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and utensils. The bright, white tile counter offers generous prep space and serves as a breakfast bar with four comfortable chairs.

Three spacious bedrooms provide luxury and comfort for every guest! Each features ceiling fans and plenty of natural light. Bedroom one has a king-size bed with a carved wooden frame, double bedside tables, and a TV. The ensuite bathroom includes bright, white tile, a large soaking tub, and a sliding glass door to the lanai.

Bedroom two features a unique queen-sized bed, side table, and dresser. Large windows bring in natural light, with an ensuite bathroom that includes a tiled vanity and combined shower/tub. Bedroom three has two single beds, a bedside table, large windows, generous closet space, and island decor. Its ensuite bathroom offers a long tiled vanity and shower/tub combo.

Also included is a washer and dryer tucked into a side closet. Guests have access to beach gear, including chairs, a cooler, bicycles, and umbrellas. The resort-style pool area features a large community pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, shade umbrellas, and BBQs. The clubhouse offers a full spa and gym with weights, machines, and cardio equipment.

The space is great! Check in is easy and the directions to the location are easy to follow. The location is convenient to the community pool which we used along with the hot tub after a day of enjoying the sun while hiking or on the beach. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to use. There is beach equipment in the garage which came in handy. We will definitely be back to this unit when we have the opportunity to get back to kauai and Princeville.

Great location

Truly enjoyed our stay in Kauai as usual. The condo itself is clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood. It could use some updating like repaint the cabinets and a new nonstick pan. The third bedroom that doesn’t have a vent gets pretty warm if you don’t leave the door open. These are small things and would stay here again. Thank you for a great stay.

this condo was perfect four of us and a two year old kitchen had everything we need lots of extras for our toddler toys pack& play and high chair and stroller left us needing nothingbeach supplies were great the chairs ,cooler and other water stuff was greatwould love to stay again

We especially liked the lanai where we spent each early evening with a view of the pool and palms. Close to all the places we wanted to go in Prnceville and Hanalei. We especially enjoyed snorkeling at Anini Beach where there were turtles in abundance. We come back every other year with our family and Hawaii Life is always the company we deal with no others.

Lovely accommodations

Listing was as advertised. They even had a pack-n-play which was wonderful for our 9mo old. We enjoyed the sand toys, the deck overlooking the pool, and the comfortable beds. Groceries were quite expensive in Princeville. I'd recommend stopping at one of the larger chains on the way.

Great Place To Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. There were 5 of us and it was perfect…plenty of space, plenty of amenities, etc. We loved sitting out on the lanai and being able to access the pool so easily.

The condo was just as described and had everything needed for a wonderful week in Princeville. The balcony was great for enjoying coffee in the morning, we used the hot tub every day, and we loved having grills to cookout. I would highly recommend this condo and would rent through Hawaii Life again!

We were here with my 3 friends for 1 week. Beautiful cozy house and well equipped kitchen. Community pool and jacuzzi were well maintained and clean. We feel the location was great, we had a car so we toured around the island. The only minus was we couldn’t get a hold of the contact person when we checked in (tried phone or whatsapp) and she didn’t return to us during the entire stay. We had questions about some outdated instructions and a fire alarm that was out of battery and beeping when we arrived. Despite of this would stay again here, we loved the house and felt very fast like at home.

Great property, but could have been much cleaner.

The location and property itself was fantastic. Plenty of room for our family of four, and the amenities, including the spa, pool and workout room were great. The downside was that nothing had been cleaned properly prior to our stay; the bath towels had stains on them, so we had to wash / bleach the towels prior to us, and the plates, cups, pans and cooking utensils had food still stuck on them, requiring a deep clean prior to use. We were ecstatic to find that there was a no shoes rule in the house, as we practice the same rules at home, but the carpet was stained and dirty - so we didn’t quite understand why we were asked to remove our shoes - not to mention the fact that we felt rather grossed out walking around the house barefoot. Would have been totally fine with the somewhat exorbitant cleaning fee, if the place had actually been cleaned fully prior to our arrival, but I feel like we got hosed so the house could be cleaned minimally for the next guests. Easily a 5 star VRBO property if the place were maintained, but I have to give it 3 stars overall given the price we paid for what we got.

Great Property and Location / Would Stay Again

Perfect size and layout for my family with four high school and college age daughters. Location is perfect for easy access to all the North Shore highlights including Hanalei and surrounding beaches. The condo is an upper floor unit with a garage and view into the pool area. Its very clean and well maintained with new appliances and everything you need to cook for a large crew. Three bathrooms and enough beds to sleep six comfortably plus central air and ceiling fans should you need. You can walk to a nearby beach (although there's a difficult hike up and down to it) and also to the Princeville Center where there's a market and breakfast spot. Beach equipment and toys were provided also. Overall we were super happy with the property and our stay and highly recommend.

The place was very roomy and comfortable for my family. Island host was very responsive. Our only complaint would be with the mattresses, they could use an upgrade, not very comfy. A great addition for the guest would also be some beach towels, we didn’t have provided for us so had to use bath towels and wash them daily. Those are just recommendations, it didn’t ruin our stay and we would come back again!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: (1) When we first showed up, I had to "clean" the inside of the dishwasher door panel. It had junk all over it. After two "washes", a lot of the blue detergent still stuck on the bottom & inside of the DW door! Even the handyman said it was dirty & does not work. We handwashed our dishes & pots & pans. Still waiting for appliance credit.(2) The two bottom drawers in the refrigerator were impossible to open & close. The "tracks" were broken. (3) Chest drawers in MBR would fall out when we tried to open them. There were no "tracks" to hold onto them. We left our clothes in our suitcases.(4) We took out the ice chest in the MBR closet. It was covered with sand top & bottom. We opened it & the inside was covered with wet sand. Smelly & gross.

Kauai Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the spacious apartment. It was well located, near the golf course, food stores and medical Center. The apartment was ventilated, and had all the amenities we needed. The grounds were well maintained. However, there were a couple of issues. The dishwasher needed minor repairs and we had some trouble using the remote for the garage door. A serviceman did come promptly and repaired the dishwasher but the problem with the garage door happened just a couple of days before we were leaving. The hot tub was not hot but that was not a big issue for us.

A little slice of heaven

Great little space to come "home" to and relax after a great day adventuring out in Kauai. We also just enjoyed relaxing there in our spaces as there was just the right amount of room for the 6 of us. Having our own bathrooms was so nice too. No one hogging the bathroom while the rest of us waited our turn. Nice kitchen area to cook with everything you need. I have 3 boys and a husband and they all eat A LOT so it was nice not having to go out for every meal. The lanai was so nice and spacious and overlooked the pool so if our 12 year old was out there we could watch him and the pool area had two nice grills that were very clean and were available the two nights we did grill out. We didn't have to turn on our air the whole time. We were able to keep the windows open to enjoy the fresh air pretty much all day and night. The only suggestion would be to add a screened door to the front door as when we had that open during the day it helped cool the space immensely but at night the cockroaches would try and scurry in (not as big as I thought they would be so actually no biggie and I am a bug freak) so we had to keep the door closed as soon as the sun went down. The people across the way had a screen door and I have to admit I was a tiny bit jealous. I liked our location as it felt very safe and was in a good location in proximity to many activities that we did. I mean we did drive some but who cares when you get to have the views that come with driving around the island. I would highly suggest this rental and would do the whole trip over again in a minute if I could. Nothing but happy memories and missing the trip already. Aloha Kauai :)

Beautiful Clean and Comfortable

The property was better than I expected. Very clean and comfortable. The community is beautiful. The boogie boards, beach chairs, and umbrellas made the time at the beach so much better. I would definitely stay there again.

Spacious, clean, and convenient

This rental looks just like the photos. It is well decorated with a beachy Hawaiian decor. Everything is clean and well-maintained. It is conveniently located about 1 mile from the Princeville Center and just a 10-15 minute drive to Hanalei. There are tons of beautiful beaches within a 15 minute drive. The grounds and pool are maintained daily. The lanai is spacious and we all enjoyed coffee and drinks while looking at the landscape. There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and floaties. I would definitely recommend this rental if you are staying on the north shore of Kauai!
