Welcome to Villa Laguna del Mar by Solmar Rentals!

Enjoy an amazing lagoon view & relax by the pool. This Villa is perfect to bring the family along, kids will have plenty of space to run around and play in the green garden while adults take advantage of the spacious terrace.

It is located at the Hotel Zone in Cancún, a few meters away from the popular "Las Perlas" beach and 5 minutes away from the popular mall Marina Puerto Cancun.

The guests will have the entire villa for themselves, with an amazing lagoon front private pool and an amazing sunbathe lounge chairs.

The Neighborhood:
We are located a few minutes away from a public beach, called Playa las Perlas.

We also have a shopping mall nearby, called Puerto Cancun with one of the most popular restaurants and plenty of options on where to eat, have some drinks and do some shopping.

The closest supermarket it´s around 10 minutes driving distance.

The hous is inside a complex with security available 24/7.

Getting Around:
- There is public transport (bus) through-out Hotel Zone.
- A car rental is another option, we can help you with that.
- Taxis circulate around the city.

Lower your expectations

While the location was fine (close by car but not walking to the beaches) we had so many things go wrong while staying at the property. We lost water, the beds upon arrival were dirty as was the inside of the house. The bathrooms smelled very bad and one of the ac’s malfunctioned causing some of our personal items to get soaked. Additionally as a family with kids we were counting on the laundry machine for obvious reasons and it also stopped working halfway through the trip. While all the issues (aside from the beds issue) were fixed it was quite disruptive to our stay. However, the property was quite, private and aside from the numerous issues we had was big enough to accommodate our large family.

Almost Perfect

The location of the villa was beautiful. It was safe and felt secure. Close proximity to beaches, mall, market and paved walking trails made it comfortable and enjoyable. The private pool was refreshing. It was almost perfect, but we had a terrible smelly leak in the entry to the main gathering area. We contacted the host and was told that someone would be out to repair it. They never showed up. The host was aware of it. We had a 9 day booking and 8 of those days we had to maneuver around a leak that got worse each day.The front door lock jammed occasionally, and the villa really needs a bit of TLC. Some compensation is deserved for tolerating the smelly leak.

Christmas 2023

Transport picked up us on time at the airport. We got to the property but ended up stuck at the gate for about an 1, unable to get through the gate. Finally, Ro showed us into the house but it would have been nice if he would have shown us where the beach towels were and the steam room function of on of the showers. After he left, we requested a few things during our stay but ened up having to go without because he did not respond. We asked for an extra blanket, a few more kitchen towels and a big pan to cook with. The house, yard and pool were fantastic. The space was perfect for our family. We enjoyed seeing some wildlife in the lagoon and playing games on the patio table at night. Having 2 refrigerators was great. We had plenty of plates and cups and glasses but we did not have adequate cooking pots and pans. However, we took advantage of the ability to hire a chef to cook us dinner 3 times while we were there. That service was amazing. The food was wonderful and the portions were perfect for our family. Check out was a breeze. We enjoyed the house and the property very much.

Gorgeous property and house

This house and property was perfect for our family of 13! Plenty of space and gorgeous views. Our host, Ro, was very helpful. It was a bit difficult to find the first time as the address didn’t take us to the exact location, but that was quickly worked out. It is in a good location within walking distance to a posh mall, public beach, and Go Mart. We would definitely go back!

We had so much fun.

We had a few issues with the place but overall we had a great time. Got to see the gator on the shore next to the yard, super cool. There was a fence so no danger.
