Here Comes the Sun is the perfect place to vacation with friends and family in peaceful Fort Morgan. Located just 20 minutes west of Gulf Shores, nestled in the heart of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, the cottage is close enough to all the fun, yet far enough away for peace and quiet.

This adorable cottage is decorated in calm and comfortable coastal decor. The living room features two leather sofas and a recliner perfect for watching the 65 inch 4K Smart TV. There are board games, playing cards, and puzzles for entertainment. The dining room comfortably seats 6 at the table with 2 additional seats at the bar. The kitchen is fully stocked for preparing family meals. Kitchen includes stainless appliances, toaster, Keurig (k-cup/drip combo) coffee maker, blender, and crockpot. All items needed for cooking and serving are provided. There is a large pantry for storage and laundry area with full size washer and dryer.

The Master bedroom features a king size bed, 43 inch 4K, smart TV, large closet, and private bathroom that includes a tub/shower combo. Second bedroom includes a queen size bed, 36 inch 4K, smart TV, and a large closet. Third bedroom includes two full size beds, smart TV, and direct access to shared bathroom.
The screened porch is perfect for relaxing or reading your favorite book. There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing your feet and beach gear after a fun day on the water.

*Complex Amenities: two outdoor pools, 1 kiddie pool, clubhouse with restrooms and video arcade games.


*Pets: This property is pet friendly! You are welcome to bring up to two pets during your vacation, however there is a $125 per pet fee. You will be provided with leash covers that must be visible at all times. Any damages caused by your pet or any fines incurred involving your pets will be your responsibility. Failure to follow the pet rules will result in being fined and/or evicted.
*Parking: This complex offers on site parking for up to 2 vehicles for $60. Your vehicle must have a parking pass filled out completely and displayed in vehicle at all times to avoid being towed. The two vehicle limit is strictly enforced and you are subject to fines if you bring more than the two allowed vehicles. Trailer/motorhome parking is prohibited.

*This property is located 1 mile from the public beach access parking lot. The association allows renters to rent golf carts from their approved vendors: Looks Good from Here, LLC; Island Carts, LLC; and Coastal Golf Cart Rental, LLC. Personal golf carts are prohibited.

Area attractions include the Historic Fort Morgan site, Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, Dauphin Island Ferry, OWA, The Wharf, The Hangout, Kiva Dunes Golf Course, The Peninsula Golf Course. You can also enjoy fishing charters, biking, hiking, and kayaking all close by.

The house was beautiful and the area was quiet making for a relaxing time. The screened in porch was a great place to have coffee in morning and enjoy nature. The beach was in walking distance. All of our Communication with Amy was great. She answered all of our questions. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

Our family had the best time! Location was perfect! We tend to stay away from the busy touristy areas for more of a relaxing family trip and this was the perfect place for that! Our family of 5 plus a dog had plenty of space. We look forward coming back again!

Our family had a great stay at Here Comes the Sun!The host was very welcoming and had great communication for check-in and check-out. We needed to extend our stay and the host was very accommodating and responsive. The cottage was perfect for our needs - beautifully decorated, very clean, close to the beach, and pet friendly. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at Here Comes the Sun if you are looking for a beach vacation in a laid back community!

Amazing Vacation Rental

We had such a great stay here. The place is beautiful, close to the pool, and a short drive to the public beach. Amy was a wonderful host and replied to messages in a timely manner. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to the beach.

Great beach house

The property was very clean and easy to get to. There was lots of room to spread out. The beach is close by and the two pools were great! We loved that it is in an area that is less busy.

Perfect getaway

Here comes the sun ☀️ is the perfect location for a nice getaway. Very clean, beds are comfortable and any and every kitchen thing you will need. Host is very quick to respond and I wish more rentals were like this place. No complaints at all, we will definitely be back!

Great Beach Cottage

We enjoyed a long, relaxing weekend at the beach. The cottage was clean and well kept. Listing was accurate and community was nice. We did rent a golf cart to drive to the beach and feel like this was a good choice. I love the cottage and beach are pet friendly. Our dogs enjoyed as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet, secluded, and relaxing

Amy is a wonderful host, responsive to all our questions. The property is in a very quiet community set in the wildlife refuge. The home is a very coze and relaxing place to use as home base during your vacation. It is fully provisioned and has many thoughtful little touches like tabletop outlets/USB ports in the living room and bedrooms. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

My family traveled several hours to this property. We were scheduled to stay from Tuesday-Sunday. We arrived at the property about 6:40 Tuesday evening. When we opened the door, we IMMEDIATELY smelled cigarette smoke inside the house. It was a VERY STRONG smoke odor. Our shirts had to go over our noses just to be inside. My family immediately got headaches/felt nauseous. We stayed about 15 minutes at the property and about 13 minutes of that time, we were outside sitting on the back porch because we could not go inside breathing in the hazardous air. We called owners to inform them of the situation. They said they would get an air purifier to the house and look for us another place to stay. There was already an air purifier running in the kitchen, when we arrived. Another air purifier was not the answer for the smell. We left the property. Within 5 minutes of us leaving, the owners "said" 2 different people (with fancy titles behind their names) came over and did not smell smoke. Remember this was not during "normal" working hours. The owners said that due to "these 2 people" not smelling smoke, NO refund and no other place to stay. We had MORE than 2 people say it absolutely DID smell like smoke. The owners stated to us that they could not afford to NOT have their property rented during 4th of July week. Our family vacation was RUINED. We made the trip back home on Tuesday night. We were not going to subject our children to the air inside this property. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

First and foremost, our rental is a non-smoking unit and no one in our family is a smoker.  This is our fourth year of renting this unit and we have never had any review less than 5 stars and have NEVER had a renter complain about an odor in the unit.  In fact, we have had three additional renters since that time who all enjoyed their stay with no complaints.   We do recognize that we cannot police if and when renters smoke in our unit, so this is why we had two independent sources enter the unit and verify unequivocally that they did NOT smell any odor, including cigarette smoke and, therefore, no reason for a renter not to stay in the unit.  And there was not, and never has been, an air purifier in the kitchen as we have never needed one. Due to all of the above reasons, the demand for a refund from us was refused.  Since that time, the renters went directly to VRBO to demand a refund that was also refused.  So they have since gone to their final option which is to request a chargeback on their credit card for the amount of the rental. VRBO has stated that they will dispute this chargeback on our behalf as well as they understand what is going on here. We are very proud of vacation rental property and love sharing it with others. Unfortunately there are always those who try to take advantage of property owners by looking for ways out of signed agreements by claiming false accusations.  We feel very comfortable in our decisions and promise to fight this to the end.

The house was in great location…conveniently located close enough to go into Gulf Shores, but far enough away to enjoy quiet and less crowding. We absolutely loved that we could take our dog on the beach with us for our evening beach walks. Tacky Jacks allows dogs on the patio, which was great while we waited for our unit to be ready for checkin. That is also a nice place to watch the sun rise….beautiful view. Highly recommend getting a golf cart, that was definitely worth it! I loved having the screened in porch to sit outside and read and not be worried about bug bites. Also, highly recommend Jesse’s on the Bay for dinner, but make a reservation. Stunning views from the patio and back part of the restaurant. Honestly, there are plenty of local food options that were great, and didn’t require us to get in all the traffic and chaos at Gulf Shores. We really enjoyed this cottage and the community.

The "PERFECT" Beach house!!

Our trip was the week of May 19. Weather was amazing. This house was amazing. Cleanest we have ever stayed at. Everything was well thought out. Lots of room for our party of 5 and little fur baby. We are booking again as we leave. There is no grill... not a problem we just packed a weber but everything and I do mean everything could not have been better. Owners were very accomidating. Looking forward to next year already. Book with confidence. Tell them BrianO sent ya!

Epitome of relaxation

There couldn't be a more perfect little property to escape to! So glad that we were able to stay at Amy's property! It made for the perfect trip. From the booking/ payments/ communication/ coordination - Amy was prompt in responding and made sure that we had all our questions answered ahead of our trip. She couldn't have made the process any easier! The property itself was just the perfect spot. Quiet and relaxing... plenty of room for 4 guests and 2 pets.. with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was clean and ready for us when we got there! The location, in my mind, cannot be beat for someone who wants a quite place, easy beach access (both bay and gulf), plenty of fishing spots, and great pools for outdoor fun. Already looking forward to my next trip back!

The best experience

Leaving a 5 star review seems so underwhelming, this property and this host deserves so many more than that. First, the pictures simply do not do this house justice. It was beyond gorgeous. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the size, as it felt much bigger than the pictures made it look. The beds… THE BEDS! SO comfortable. I cannot tell you the last time that I slept so well. Every room had a smart tv with every streaming app, which was cool, but we didn’t spend much time watching tv. The screened in porch was one of our favorite features. We enjoyed sitting outside each evening with a cup of tea, and our kids got a thrill out of all the cute little frogs and lizards that we saw up close! This house is SUPER close to one of the pools, which was very convenient for the days that we weren’t able to swim in the ocean with the rip currents. On that note, the beach access is close by, you can walk it with ease, or drive. The host was an excellent communicator. We did need to make one communication during our stay, and she replied almost immediately. In the days leading up to our trip, she replied frequently, and answered all of our questions, so we felt well prepared for our trip down. If you’re looking for a clean, beautiful, comfortable, amazing experience for a fun family trip, BOOK THIS PROPERTY!
