Four separate bedrooms and two bathrooms make the Farmhouse especially useful for work crews, extended stays and families who need more space without paying for multiple hotel rooms. We're located in eastern Independence near the Blue Springs border, with convenient access to I-70 and eastern Jackson County.

The Farmhouse is an older, simple home, and price it accordingly. What it offers is a lot of space, a quiet location, four bedrooms and excellent value for groups who need a practical place to stay.

In addition to being quiet and secluded, we are less than 10 minutes from shopping and many restaurants and less than 30 minutes from Downtown

It was ok for our size family! The pictures are misleading, the pond is not on the property. The dishwasher didn't work, the dryer had stinky clothes in it. There were dead bug everywhere and the yard needed mowed and weed eating. It seems the property management is not maintaining it very well.

Good place for friends going to Chiefs game. Remote, quite close to arrowhead and lots of good restaurants.

The rooms were nice, some rooms hotter than others. Found a dirty moldy kitchen pot in the cabinet when went to use pot. Could have used more cooking pots. There were live mice spotted, Is expected staying at a farm house.This is perfect for large family gatherings

Peaceful, remote.

This is a very quaint farmhouse, on a rustic property. The extensive renovation inside is very well-done but is definitely a work in progress. The surrounding yard, porch, etc. needs considerable attention. We did not explore the grounds. Beware, the pet and cleaning fees will just about double the cost of your stay. Great place for a family group.

Pool Playing tournament

We come every year in September and stay at this house this year we came in September and December. Only real complaint we have is the quality and amount of toilet paper that is provided. We usually bring our own or have to go buy some and that shouldn't be a thing.

The property itself was nice minus the fact that several light bulbs were dead. The air handler kept cycling in and off and not working properly. Very hot in the house. Hopefully gets repaired. Everything else was pleasant. Enough room. Nice location. Pond and kayaking was a great opportunity.

The place is old, rundown and dirty. There were dead bugs and cobwebs in every room and the bed sheets looked like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. Shower curtain looked to have mold on it. Mildew found on the bathroom countertops. We called the owner when we arrived and they stated someone had been there 2 days prior to clean which was an obvious lie since dead bugs were found in almost every room and the vacuum in the house was not even functional. We called VRBO and got our money back and left immediately. Horrible experience.

Worst stay ever

We came for a funeral. Needed a clean place to stay. Found hair everywhere. Bathrooms were used and not cleaned. Management never responded to our requests. Then they refused to refund the cleaning fee that I had paid and then cleaned for them. This place should not be allowed to host any guests at all!!!!!’

Not what it's presented as

Drywall is cracked throughout the house, nails and screws sticking out of doorways, mold in several places, exposed electrical junk boxes and breaker boxes within reach of children, food left under the edges of kitchen counters, the oven was full of burnt on gunk, floors are all uneven and bounce when you walk, yard is full of junk, and pretty sure the property owner was in and out of the house everyday while we were gone without telling us that was going to happen. There are spiders galore and many outlets don't work. House was very misrepresented in the listing. Will not stay again. Renter beware.

Not very clean but has potential to be a nice place

The home itself is kind of neat it is really off the beaten path if you not looking to stay in town. My biggest complaint is the cleanliness of the inside of the home and outside. The yard was very over grown and un useable the inside of the house if it was cleaned it was a quick clean. I had asked if we could check in early to drop off our things because we were in town for a race that started before our check in time. The person replied very fast and said no due to the cleaning people being there before our stay (which we totally understood and had zero problems with) We get there that night there is food chunks in the sink. Most of the beds had crumbs and what looked like sand in them. One of the couches had a chunk of toilet paper sticking out in between the cushions. The main trash can in the kitchen had a walmart sack in it for a bag. (we went and bought trash bags) The yard was extremely over grown. There was 7 of us staying there The 3 kids choose to sleep on the couches due to how clean the beds were. There was a big storm that hit the first night and the place did loose power for almost 6 hours. (not there fault). I honestly would not stay again or recommend. I really think they need to hire a better cleaning service and mowing service. Also the guy that comes and checks on his rabbits that are on the property is very friendly but we had no idea or heads up this was a thing until 9pm the first night when he came rolling up the driveway.

The house was extremely dirty when we arrived. No lightbulbs in the bathrooms. The vents in the ceiling were packed with dirt and lint as well as the ceiling fans. The linen and comforters on the beds had not been washed. The queen size bed frame was broken. The pillows on the bed were filthy. I text Mark the host and told him how filthy everything was but he didn’t send anyone to come clean. I sent him pictures. Then we went to buy cleaning supplies and laundry soap so we could start cleaning the place. We stripped all the beds so we could wash everything. When we put the first load in the washing machine it filled the entire bathroom with water. I text Mark again and called him but he said he was not available to take my call. I told him the washing had flud the bathroom, he said he would send somebody over. They didn’t arrive till the next morning at 10. Jeffrey was very nice. I showed him before and after pictures of what we cleaned, he was pretty shocked. Showed him the broken bed and the bathroom where the washing machine was. He said there was nothing he could do. He said he would let Jenny know that the machine needs to be replaced. He also told me that there were squatters in the house right before the previous guests. I asked for a refund but no response to that either. This house should not be on VRBO until everything is fixed and cleaned thoroughly. I have lots of pictures to send to VRBO. I expect a refund immediately.

There is a lot of open space around The Farmhouse that you can stroll through. There is a fence on the south side of The Farmhouse but you are free to go into that area.

The Fishing and Swimming pond is located to the north of the driveway, about a 5 minute walk

We have stocked the pond with catfish, crappie, blue gill and small mouth bass. If you want to fish you will need to bring your own poles and tackle. Small bait worms seem to produce the best results for the crappie and blue gill.
