Stylish Family Friendly Cottage in the Woods

Relax with the whole family at Echo Cottage, a comfortable getaway to explore local hiking trails, lakes, swimming holes, and the Yuba River. We are located 2.5 miles from downtown Nevada City and 5.5. miles from downtown Grass Valley. The Cascade Canal trail is a short walk, while three ski resorts are located 44-48 miles from the home.
The space
Our family-friendly home is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom two-story rustic cottage with some modern elements. The home is on an acre and on a private road. We have three different work desks. The home is fitted with mesh high-speed internet so the wifi signal is consistent throughout the house, laundry, kitchen stocked with spices/oils, and two SMART TVs (we do not have cable). Enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine on our deck overlooking the trees. Stay cool with central AC and fans ceiling fans in every bedroom. For warmth, we have central heating and a wood-burning stove. Children will enjoy our ninja line, games, and toys.

We do not allow gatherings, due to a local ordinance. Maximum of 3 cars allowed. Please also respect quiet hours between 9pm and 7am.

Immaculate property

We had a great time and the property was excellent. It was immaculate and very well supplied with everything we needed and more. The owner was very nice and communicated with the information we needed. There was a nice manual inside telling us all we needed to know about supplies and where they were located. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Great family vacation house in the mountains

This was a great house for our family which provided all that we were looking for. The property manager for this property goes above and beyond. They provided a great book with all the info you will need including activities, food, where things are in the house etc. great communication leading up the the rental with easy to remember passcode for access. There were great personal touches throughout.

Incredible house!

We loved our stay at Kat's house. We were looking for three bedrooms, and Kat's was still reasonably priced! Beautiful with many thoughtful touches -- an entire coffee station, full kitchen and staples to make cooking easy, blankets and interesting books on the shelves. Kat was very communicative and helpful with finding places to swim, etc. I wish I could give it 10 stars for cleanliness!

Nevada City HOme

When I booked the Echo Cottage, it appeared to be a great fit for our needs. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with everything about the cottage. The decor is stylish, the furnishings and linens are excellent, the treats were an unexpected bonus, and the cleanliness was first rate. We didn't get a chance to use the deck, but it looks great. The setting among the tall trees is beautiful. The communication with the owner was easy and prompt. I wouldn't hesitate to book Echo Cottage again!
