Five Palms

We really enjoyed our stay at Five Palms in the heart of Panama City Beach Florida!! We loved the spacious condo and especially having a full kitchen to cook and enjoy meals together as a family. We had great weather which allowed us to walk pretty much everywhere we went! The condo was fully stocked with all the things we needed for a great stress free vacation. Truly a home away from home!

This condo is just adorable and LOVE the decor. The couches, chair and bed are super comfortable. EVERYTHING was sooo clean and has everything you could possibly need there. Its a perfect spot for a family, very spacious! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, utensils, plates, cups, bowls, can opener, crock pot... you get it. Everything you would have at home! NOW my favorite thing is the owner has a shed out back on patio full of everything you would need at the beach and the fun activities on premise! Wagon, chairs, umbrella, pool noodles, ALL kinds of buckets, nets, and sand toy (we left a couple sand shovels for the next people) boogie boards, golf balls and putters, tennis rackets and tennis balls, ping pong paddles and balls! Just soo many activities you can do there and the stuff is provided! Everyone was so friendly and would text and make sure we didn't need anything a few times while we were there. There was an issue with the dryer knob and they were there to check it out within 2 hrs. I will absolutely be coming back!

We absolutely love hearing how much you enjoyed the condo and all the thoughtful touches! It’s wonderful to know the décor, comfortable furnishings, cleanliness, spacious layout, and fully stocked kitchen made you feel right at home. We’re especially happy the beach and activity gear helped your family make the most of your time together, and thank you for leaving a couple of sand shovels for the next guests! We’re also glad our team was quick to respond when you noticed the dryer knob issue and that our check-ins throughout your stay were helpful. Thank you for such a kind and detailed review. We truly appreciate it and can’t wait to welcome you back!

Perfect Roomy Vacay Condo

There’s a pool that’s smaller and more private that we went to, but the large pool in the middle of the neighborhood is also good! The shed has all you can think of for beach necessities, super bonus for this property. The cleanliness could have been better in the bathrooms but everything else was great! A nice 10 minute walk to the beach. AC works great. Wish we could have stayed longer :)

The place was just like in the pictures.. nice open concept kitchen/dining room/ living room. Great spacious bedrooms with 2 king beds. Townhouse was perfect for my family of 4. Very close to the beach using the back entrace. I could say it was 2 blocks away.

Good vaca Property

The condo was clean for the most part. It did have a bit of a funny smell to which I sprayed air freshner so afterwardswas fine. Bedrooms were very nice as well as kitchen and living areas. I loved that the pools stayed open late and the neighbors were very nice. The propert is literally right by the beach which was super convenient. I would stay again.

Five Palms Gulf Highland Beach Resort PCBFL

We had a very relaxing stay. The town house was cozy and nice; and had everything we needed, we felt right at home. We felt completely safe in the gated community and the grounds were wonderful. We had fun riding the golf cart to the beach house, community pool, putt-putt, tennis and pickleball courts. We were extremely impressed with the outdoor storage cabinet that had extra accommodations! The ocean was amazing! The white sand and emerald waters were absolutely beautiful and (conveniently) extremely close by. Everything was nearby. I highly recommend the Grand Mere Shell Island sunset dolphin cruise and St. Andrews State Park. We could not have asked for more. It was a perfect family vacation.

Nice Getaway

Overall everything was great. The property was clean and there were a lot of amenities. The communication from the staff was also great. There were only 2 drawbacks to me. One the condo doesn’t include the wristbands needed to access the private beach. With the price, that should be included. The second is that the laundry detergent is rather strong so people with allergies may have a few issues with the bedding.

Sept 2nd-9th 2023

When we arrived there and there was no grill like the Description stated. I had to call twice to have someone look for the key to open the shed for beach supplies, the 1st person did not know to look in the lock box at the front door. I had to call twice about the pipes completely coming undone under the kitchen sink. The 1st maintenance guy did not even check them just stated looks like your husband did a good job. 2nd guy which was a young boy put ribbon around the groves to hold the pipes in place and all was good for the remainder of the stay.

Great Stay!

Overall I would give 5 Palms a 10/10. We would certainly stay again but book direct through Book That Condo, it would have saved us VRBO fees. It was very clean and VERY quiet (which is always at the top of our concerned list). Beds are comfortable but bring your own pillows, the ones here were unbearable to us, we went to walmart and bought a couple for $4. There are plenty of awesome toys, umbrella, chairs and cart for the beach, we actually left some additional floaties and toys for the next families to enjoy. Some people might say its a bit outdated but those things dont bother us, it had everything we needed to cook. You will need to bring your own spices though. Some things to note: This isn't on the rental but something to be aware of; the amount of young children / teens driving golf carts irresponsibly- coming very close to hitting others and driving in the wrong lane, I get that we're all here on vacation, but some children need to be taught better. There is a cute orange tabby cat that wonders around and we noticed a bunch of people around us were keeping her well fed and lots of water out. It was adorable. The wifi unfortunately couldnt play anything on the apps (Max, Hulu, etc) it kept freezing up, there two wifi options and both seemed a bit slow. When we got to security to check in and get our hanging tag, no one was there, we called too but no answer, we didn't get our tag until the 3rd day.

Our stay was wonderful. We had a little bit of confusion upon check in but it was cleared up quickly. I misunderstood that check in could be as early as 4 but as late as 6 and that the condo had to be released first. When we arrived at our unit it was nice and clean. Everything was exactly as promised and pictured. The walk to the beach was very accessible and easy. The pools were great! We only used the large middle pool, the smaller on directly next to our condo and the beach front one and that was plenty. We did not check out the other amenities that were available but im sure they were great too. Being on the canal was nice. I enjoyed the sounds of the frogs and seeing the turtles and giant snails. The access to the beach wagon and toys was a huge plus. It really helped to make our trips to the beach easier. My only negative was the gas stove. Majority of people dont know how to operate those and it could be dangerous. I only used the oven once to cook the eggs I got because the gas stovetop scared me but thats just a personal preference. overall our stay was amazing. The location of the condo is perfect to explore PCB. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a walmart within walking distance so technically you probably wouldnt have to drive if you didnt want to. But if you do drive its all very easy short trips to get to what you want to do. I cant wait to come back! maybe retire here in 20 years! (sad faces on having 20 more years though)

Thank you so much for the perfect review and for sharing such thoughtful details about your stay! We are thrilled to hear everything turned out wonderful, from the clean condo and easy beach access to the pools, canal setting, and the bonus beach wagon and toys. It is great to know the location made it easy to enjoy restaurants, shopping, and all that Panama City Beach has to offer. We also appreciate your understanding about the check-in timing and are glad any confusion was cleared up quickly. Thank you as well for the helpful note about the gas stove, as guest feedback like this is valuable and can help us improve instructions for future stays. Thank you for staying with Book That Condo, and we absolutely love hearing that you cannot wait to come back. We will be ready whenever you decide to make that retirement practice trip!

Great area, property manager not very responsive

We were happy with the condo and area. We have enjoyed the times staying in Gulf Highland resort. We have stayed in a different condo in this complex the last few years to PCB. Only issues we had is there was no toilet role holder in one of the bathrooms upstairs. We tried to report it when reaching out to management with the next, but got told we would get a call back several times and didn't. We did get a call and a voicemail (on the beach unable to answer phone) to see if any housekeeping or maintenance needs, but didn't think this fell under that. My sister wanted to use the gym. The gym code provided did not work. My sister called several times and was told that was the only code they had and they would make some calls and call back which nobody ever did. She called back to check on the status and to let the manager know she went to the gym and another resident tried helping her to no avail but his code worked. The manager asked if that resident gave her their code and if so what was it! No, that resident didn't giver her his code because he said it was condo specific. My sister tried calling again when we got home and never could get any resolution on that. Otherwise our stay was good. The gate that is only an exit is the closest exit to the beach (just a heads up to any future guests). We enjoyed our stay and wish it was longer. We walked the beach every night.
