Romantic beachfront floating house in the heart of Costa Rica

Los Cedros Garden House was built with the goal of creating an open and elegant space that connects living with the many plants and animals found in this special part of the world. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature around you. This custom-designed holiday home looks into the high branches of several huge mango trees where many monkeys come to feed. The extensive gardens contain an abundance of flowering shrubs and other fruiting trees that attract many tropical birds (especially hummingbirds) and lizards. Located between the villages of Montezuma and Cabuya, the house is in a great location with Los Cedros beach being a 3 min walk from the house and two very special rivers (Rio Cedros and Rio Lojas) being nearby too.
There are many animals you will be able to spot around the house during your stay. During different seasons of the year, we get to see different beautiful creatures cross through the property. During mango season there are many fruits on the trees and you get to see mother monkeys carrying their infants on their backs or stomachs as they jump from tree to tree together. There are also many sightings of Scarlet Macaws in the area, they often come and sit on the beach almond trees and have their lunch, they always come in pairs, as they mate for life. On the ground, you will be able to see many small mammals and cute creatures walking around, but you will also be able to spot a strange dinosaur dragon-looking animal called an Iguana, these creatures are beautiful and harmless, just please consider their (and all animals) personal space. There is much to see while lounging in the pool or on the decks of the house - we call it Nature Television!

The space
Designed by Suner Villarta, this newly built ‘floating house’ represents a beautiful modern take on typical Costa Rican beach houses. The house was built with the utmost comfort and elegance in mind. With its big open spaces looking out into a breathtaking garden, it combines luxury and finding peace and comfort in nature. This two-story house is ideal for a couple in our upstairs suite where you will be able to enjoy an incredible view into an abundant garden, here is where you will spot all our animal friends. With a smaller bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a second bathroom, and another big open space balcony downstairs, it is the perfect place to enjoy the gorgeous infinity edge pool and rancho outside.

This house is equipped with A/C in both bedrooms, indoor and outdoor ceiling fans, unlimited wifi, a washer and dryer, equipment for outside activities, comfortable furniture, and luxurious floor and ceiling lighting around the house.

The house has a metal gate at the entrance and a covered parking garage for up to 2 cars.

Guest access
For our guests, the whole property will be accessible, and you will be able to greatly enjoy our garden and the surroundings of the house. Our gardener lives in a small house with his family across from the entrance to the house and between him and our immediate neighbors, you will find it to be a very safe and welcoming place to enjoy your holiday.

Hello! My name is Lynn, I am Casa Cedros's property manager. I grew up in Cabuya and I live close by now in the small town of Montezuma. I will be here to greet you upon arrival and will be available to you during your whole stay.
