The apartment (managed by FromHometoRome) is located on the second floor of an elevator-equipped building that dates back to the early 1900s. Please note that there are about a dozen steps to climb to reach the elevator, so guests with a walking disability may need assistance or find it challenging. We regret that the elevator cannot comfortably accommodate a guest in a wheelchair.

The apartment, a blend of modern and traditional, is rich in natural light and is the quintessential exercise in classic Italian décor: hardwood floors, porcelain tile backsplashes and marble inserts conspire to make you feel like you are in a country house.

This unit sleeps up to four: two in the master bedroom (complete with a large closet) and two in the living room, where a comfortable sofa bed converts into a queen-size bed. The only bathroom has a bath and shower, while the fully equipped kitchen is complete with all the essentials for cooking your own meals - in addition to a fridge and freezer, you will find a Nespresso, microwave, gas oven, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine (please note that this is not a dryer).

This accommodation has independent heating and a free Wifi connection is offered to all guests. The air conditioning is located in the living room and kitchen and due to the size of the apartment can efficiently cool the entire property.

We enjoyed our stay in Rome. The apartment had everything we needed. It was clean and quiet, if a bit dull in the decor. There was a problem with the refrigerator when we checked in and Home to Rome was very responsive and got it fixed quickly. Two blocks away are lots of great restaurants and gelato. Walking down the block and seeing the Colosseum lit up at night was magical.

Giovanni was amazing

checkin was quick. He helped us with everything we needed even pointed a few good places around to eat. The place walking distance to the Colosseum.

Beautiful stay near the Colosseum

My 25 year old daughter and I stayed in Rome for one week. This location was 2 blocks from the Colosseum, as well as very close to subway, tram, and bus stops. We could not have chosen a more perfect place. All communication with the host was wonderful. For anyone coming to Rome, please consider.

Great base of operations!

Good overall. We really enjoyed it as our base. Lots of services close by. There was some city noise throughout the night which meant broken sleep. Some Reno’s in the build during the day but that can’t be helped. Overall a good experience! Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Best Rome Stay!

I cannot recommend this rental enough! We were all so pleased with the experience, from the location to the cleanliness of the apartment. The host is amazing and so helpful. Our weekend was wonderful and certainly because of this Vrbo!

Great location!

We enjoyed our stay very much! The location was perfect for us! It was awesome to arrive, get settled, and immediately go to a walk around the Colosseum! There are lots of hreat restaurants close by! We caught up on all of our laundry as well since this was the mid point of our 2 week vacation. The videos for getting into the apartment were much appreciated!

Quiet neighborhood close to main attractions!

The apartment was lovely; clean, quiet and fully furnished with everything needed. We (seniors) could walk to all attractions except those outside the wall. Sarah, the manager was quick to respond to any questions.

Great property in a great location

We stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend it. The Colosseum is less than a 5 minute walk and both the bus stop and metro station are nearby. Plenty of food options in the neighborhood, and the kitchen is also fully stocked if you choose to cook. I would recommend replacing the pillows for both the bed and sofa bed as they are very thin, but this was the only point of improvement we noticed during our stay!

Beautiful apartment right near Colosseum

This apartment was perfect for me and my two teens as we spent a few days exploring Rome. The location was great, very safe, the building was old and beautiful, the apartment size was spacious. Nice large closets to hang up our clothes to de-wrinkle from the luggage. The shower was luxurious. It was also lovely to have A/C available as the temp was hitting 90 degrees Fahrenheit the whole week we visited. There is a luggage storage place across the street which was convenient for when we needed to check out but were not ready to leave for the airport yet. Sarah from Home to Rome was prompt in her replies and very accommodating. Overall, could not have asked for a better place to rest our tired tourist heads! Thank you!

As advertised

Exactly as advertised, walking distance to colosseum and metro. Lots of food in the area, close to a market for groceries. Check in was simple and host even provided videos which made it super easy!! We visited in July so it was super hot but ac did its job, a fan would have been a nice touch.

A full experience

We loved our stay! Ole, who met us and checked us in, was funny and so informative. The space was as listed and worked great for our travel needs. We were so grateful for all of the food recommendations provided by the hosts! We ate at one of their recommended restaurants every night and very much enjoyed each one. The location was excellent - obviously it’s super close to the Colosseum, and it’s also a scenic walk to many of the other sites as well (the furthest was Vatican City - it took us about 60-70 minutes to walk but it felt like 30 because it’s so pretty and interesting!). We didn’t take the subway but it was very close (5 minute walk) as well. We also loved that our walk home every night took us past the colosseum & the forum. There is a grocery store within a 3-5 minute walk, which was also handy! 10/10 would recommend.

Cute apartment in a fantastic location!

We were so very pleased with the care and attention the property managers had even before we arrived at the property, they even offered rides from the airport, and local things to do in those communication. The apartment itself was very cute and the location was so ideal, just five minute walk to the colosseum itself and half an hour walk to piazza navona and alot of the ruins and churches. There are so many cute restaurants and breakfast places that were affordable in the area as well. We liked that it was in a quiet area, not so touristy despite being close to colosseum. We really liked that it felt like a home rather than a hotel, even had a little washer we can use to wash some clothes, tho there was no dryer, so we had to hang clothes. The apartment was clean, the beds comfortable and the only thing that was maybe could have been improved was the toilet, it took a few flushes for it to flush something down, otherwise it was really not even that big of a deal. Over all we loved that stay and would stay there again. .

Great location near Colosseum

We chose to stay here mainly for the location within easy walking distance to the Colosseum and ancient Roman historical sights. The location was perfect for the 3 of us (a couple with our teenage boy). There was also a taxi stand very close by, and the Metro station was within easy walking distance as well to reach other parts of the city. Coming "home" in the evenings from other parts of the city was a treat, because we got to walk past the Colosseum each night. We did not use the kitchen to cook, because we ate out. There was an excellent restaurant called Naumachia just a few blocks away with great food, and a lively and friendly staff. The air conditioning was in the main living room and there was also one in the kitchen, but we were disappointed that the bedroom did not have an a/c unit. The bathroom was clean and perfectly fine. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and a perfect location.

We arrived in the afternoon to a cold apartment. After making dinner and wondering when heat might go on, we contacted agency by email. We assured them we had not touched thermostat as very strictly directed, but when might we expect heat to go on? We should not have to wear coats in the apt. After 24 hrs, heat went on after a visit from agency, apparently someone forgot to set thermostat to ‘on’ for our 6 day stay. We were told Rome has strict rules around thermostats and how many hours heat can be on and at what temp thermostat can be set but we were cold most of our stay in late afternoons until heat was allowed to come on at 6 pm. Thankfully there are pocket doors so we could close off the back of the apt to the living room which was always too cold to use. We come from snow country in USA so we are used to cold weather and set 66 degrees as max on our thermostat at home. Other than the undesirable apt temp, the apt is very nice, a usable kitchen, comfy beds minus lumpy pillows and the neighborhood is lovely. Unlike other reviewers, we made all the contacts via email solely on apartment temps and saw no one. There was no info on local grocery in the apt info but we found a local store a couple blocks away that was terrific.
