It is interesting reading the previous reviews and seeing how the owners responded by making improvements. We laughed at the comment about the TV -- it is no longer 12 feet in the air, but it gets only a handful of channels and, yes, we agree, you are not supposed to be watching TV here. By day you are exploring -- we golfed at Redlands Mesa one day, journeyed to Montrose to play the Bridges another day, and caught two national parks along the way. Staying here, you are 10 minutes from Colorado National Monument, which is not to be missed -- and thank you to Kristy for filling us in on that. If you don't want to hike you can simply drive the rim road in a leisurely couple of hours. At the end of your activities, you come "home" to a completely stocked kitchen and gas grill, hopefully to dine al fresco on the locally sourced food (beef, corn, peaches, yum!) and wine (Two Rivers, also only about 15 minutes from the house) you have picked up along the way. With no TV you can hear cows and birds, maybe a rooster. We loved our stay and hope to return for a longer one.
