Welcome to your Chic Southern Retreat! Located in one of Charleston’s most desirable locations of James Island, this adorable 3br/1.5ba home is the perfect blend of modern elegance and cozy comfort. It`s only a 10 minute drive to Downtown Charleston and a 12 minute drive to Folly Beach. Whether you are attending one of the city’s amazing festivals, seeking to explore Charleston’s rich history, or planning a fun beach trip, it is truly a great location for all that Charleston has to offer!
With its chic décor and inviting ambiance, this home exudes warmth, ensuring you feel instantly at ease. Tucked away in a serene, secure, and beloved family-friendly neighborhood, it offers the perfect retreat for a tranquil getaway or a memorable family vacation. Start your day with a leisurely stroll along the beach, indulge in delectable fare at nearby eateries, return to bask in Charleston’s delightful weather within the expansive fenced-in backyard, then unwind with a movie night in the cozy living room before retiring to bed for a peaceful night’s sleep.

- Kitchen with all major appliances
- Bedroom 1 with queen bed, sitting area, and ensuite half bathroom
- Bedroom 2 with queen bed
- Bedroom 3 with twin daybed with pull out twin trundle
- Outdoor patio with dining table seating six and outdoor lounge furniture
- Large, almost half acre and fully fenced-in backyard
Guests have access to the entire unit, driveway parking, and the backyard.
Please note that the home is a duplex and there is a separate second unit above the garage that has it`s own entrance that is used sparingly by the homeowner when in town. There are no interior spaces or entrances shared.
The garage itself is used for homeowner storage and is
off-limits to guests.
Someone is always available should any issues or concerns arise during your stay.
Please always reach out through the message thread on the app for communication unless in case of emergency.
The home is located in Lighthouse Point on James Island, about halfway between Downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. It is considered a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood known for its safe, quiet streets.
To fully take advantage of all that Charleston has to offer, guests will want to have their own vehicle, as public transportation in the area is not very convenient.
Uber/Lyft operate throughout the Charleston area if you choose to leave your vehicle parked.
DUPLEX HOME
Please note that the home is a duplex and there is a separate second unit above the garage that has it`s own entrance that is used sparingly by the homeowner when in town. There are no interior spaces or entrances shared.
CANCELLATIONS
Guests will receive a 95% refund up to 30 days before check-in. After that, no reservations are given.
DAMAGE DEPOSIT
A $500 damage deposit will be pulled from the card used for booking prior to the departure date. This deposit will be fully refundable to the card within 5-10 business days after departure if there are no claims made for damages.
HOUSE MANUAL
The house manual with all of the details needed for your stay will be sent out at 9am THE MORNING OF YOUR ARRIVAL directly in the message thread of the account used for booking.
Please do not ask for it earlier, or ask for it to be sent elsewhere.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Your safety and comfort are our priority. In the unlikely event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR CHARLESTON COUNTY during your stay, rest assured that both the Owner/Host and the Property Management Company WILL REFUND 100% OF YOUR PAYMENTS for the dates of evacuation. Once refunded, neither party will have further liability regarding your Reservation.
Please note that ONLY MANDATORY EVACUATIONS WILL QUALIFY FOR REFUNDS. No other travel disruptions due to weather, whether in South Carolina or other states, are eligible. For protection, consider travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season. Airbnb`s insurance or other options are recommended.
INSECTS
As Charleston is situated in a warm, coastal climate it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who live in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND.

This home is a legal and licensed short term rental, Certificate of Operation Permit Number LIC006192
-Kindly honor our neighbors by maintaining noise levels at a considerate volume, and refrain from parking in their yards. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
-Before bringing beach items indoors, we kindly ask that you remove any sand from towels, chairs, etc. Thank you for helping to keep our space clean.
-Please limit the number of vehicles on the property to two at any given time.
-For food preparation, we kindly request that you utilize cutting boards provided rather than cutting directly on the kitchen counter.
-Remember to switch off lights when not in use or when you`re away from home.
-Please note that our property does not accept package or mail deliveries.
-To maintain cleanliness, we have a strict policy against glitter or confetti indoors or outdoors. Guests may incur fines for violations.
-To preserve the integrity of our walls and ceiling, we ask that you refrain from nailing or taping anything onto them.
-Prior approval is required before inviting additional guests who are not listed on the reservation to visit the property. Thank you for your cooperation.
