We stayed in Fort Morgan from March 21-28 with 5 adults and 2 children (3 and 5). The unit was comfortable for this amount of people. The best part of the unit was the view. The pics do not do it justice. Although it’s not right on the beach, the unit is on the 5th floor and there is a great panoramic view of the ocean. The only obstructions to the view are beautiful, beach front homes. The building is a short walk to the beach and has an unremarkable pool and very small workout room (bike, treadmill, elliptical and cable system). The building has a very residential feel.
The unit seems to have been updated recently (nice appliances, newer furniture) but could use a deep cleaning (built up dirt in the corners of the floor, dirty ceiling fans, dirty area rug, etc.) and the outdoor furniture needs to be replaced. It is rusted and oversized for the space.
The other annoying thing about the unit is it only includes free parking for one car, which is not clear in the listing or in the pre arrival instructions. We had to pay $40 to park a second car on the lot that wasn’t even half full.
Overall, the unit was probably a bit overpriced but we booked relatively last minute and didn’t have a lot of choices. I would recommend the area if you don’t want to stay in the craziness of Gulf Shores.
