Great location, safe place for kids,(traveled with 3 kids under 12. There was some rowdy kids that caused us to leave the pool early twice but the condo was nice and wel equipped.

The condo was spacious and very clean. Short/easy walk to the beach. Pool is great with a large shallow area for kids. Covered parking was an awesome perk. We loved the rooftop area for picnics, and the view from our own balcony was great too.

July 4th Vacation

We had a wonderful time - the condo was well stocked in the kitchen- we cooked every night- and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for my family, the pool was nice, the walk to the beach was not too far and the property was clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

It was everything we expected

We had stayed in the same building 3 years prior. Our stay was great. Beach is 5 minute walk and a good pool is located on site. The roof lounge is underrated and great in the mornings/evenings. A good time was had by all.

Wonderful Stay

I have been going to Ft Morgan for years and have stayed at the Indies several times. This condo was probably one of my favorite - exactly as advertised and perfect for our group. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes/utensils/pots and pans, and the condo is clean and well maintained. We had everything we needed! The view is great also. We visited the rooftop in the evening. Even spent a little time in the pool and hot tub one night. I would definitely stay in this condo again!

Great family stay

Overall, zero complaints on this property! It was spacious and clean. It was plenty of space foe my family with two teens. It was an easy walk to the beach and great views. I had limited interactions with the host but that wasnt an issue. We didnt have any problems that required us to reach out. Check in and check out was super easy. You definitely need a car to go anywhere but the beach but we liked being off the busy area. Overall, great location and we enjoyed our trip.

Peaceful stay

Loved the location of this condo. Fort Morgan is away from the busyness of Gulf shores. It takes about 25-30 minutes to get to shops and restaurants but it was worth the drive to stay somewhere quiet. The balcony and view of the gulf was wonderful! We enjoyed the big pool. The condo worked well for our family and had everything we needed. The only thing, I wish we would have been made aware that we needed to provide our own toilet paper and dishsoap so I could have been prepared but that wasn't a big deal. They do provide a starter supply. Definitely recommend this condo!!

The condo itself was fine. The overall building could use some upgrading. The elevators were not in good working conditions. One day they worked the next they didnt.

The property was very nice, condo, pool, etc. the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negatives were that it wasn’t cleaned properly. Also not that the owner can help but we’ve stayed at the Indies 3 different years or tried to and every year they are doing some kind of construction. One year we couldn’t use the balcony, one year we couldn’t use the pool, this year the parking lot was limited and the roof access was closed due to them working on the roof.

I addressed the cleaning issues with cleaning company as soon as I became aware and gave a partial refund of the cleaning fee. The issues with construction have been ongoing since before Hurricane Sally as we were in the process of doing major renovations (painting entire building, reinforcing balconies) before Sally hit. Then the building had significant damage with Sally and should be fully completed by October of this year. These things are not within my control and I regret any inconvenience it may have caused. The renters were very nice and understanding when we spoke and hope they will consider renting again in the future.

The first morning, waking up looking over the pool, there was a snake next to pool!! We were scared to go downstairs to pool!! The third day there were big rats running all over pool area!! They closed off the hot tub!! One elevator went out so everything you wanted to do took forever, and everyone was trying to leave! No carts to help carry stuff to our van at checkout!! Beach was kinda a little walk away!! You have to pay $20 for parking!! The good things were: the condo had all pots and dishes for any kinda meal!! It was quite!! Nice view in the distance!!

I regret you didn't enjoy your stay at our place. Your issues with the pool/hot tub and elevators are out of owners control and are addressed immediately. I know it is an inconvenience when the pool/hot tub and elevator are closed but believe me it is for the guests safety. As far as the pool the Health Department standards govern when it is closed when there is an incident. As far as only one elevator being used this was during our busiest rental time and I will check into this complaint. Only thing I can think is the other elevator may have needed servicing. All carts (when not in use) are kept in the garage parking area underneath the building. We are in a remote area and this is what attracted us to this area. It would be unusual to find a place on the peninsula where there are no rodents. This is the first complaint we've had. The Fish and Wildlife has designated most of the peninsula as a habitat for the beach mouse and sea turtles and is protected from development. Other guests have found our place to be beautiful and very accommodating and I just regret you didn't have the same experience. It is a really beautiful area.

Avoidable misunderstanding by owner!

Arrived for an accepted vacation by owner of a pet friendly condo (box was checked on VBRO site )to be called less than 24 hours and asked to leave because she had not approved our pet. Family drove over 900 miles to meet for vacation. Will never use VBRO site or inquire about this condo or 'The Indies'!! The rental agreement had more than 1 discrepancy in it after we arrived on the property. The condo was filthy, bathrooms had mold and scrum on fixtures and shower curtain. The kitchen had food particles in drawers, oven, dishes, glasses and cutlery were filthy. After phoned owner about cleanliness of condo upon arrival, received the call the next morning asking us to vacate the premises immediately over the fact we brought our 9 lb. Maltese to a pet friendly condo that accepted our money in February 2018!! Doesn't deserve a rating!! Necessary to submit review!!

Guest was not approved to bring a pet. Pets are allowed only if stay is 30 days or more. This is an HOA rule and is/was covered on my website as well as in the contract. I had no choice but to ask guest to leave or remove pet after it was reported to me by HOA the morning after guest arrived that there was a pet in my unit. Guest was refunded for the remainder (6 nights) of scheduled stay immediately. I do regret this misunderstanding as it is always my intent to accommodate my guests to the best of my ability.

As this was the very first time renting a condo, and actually being at thebeach in many, many years..........we were "new" to the experience. It was avery peaceful, calming area to be in while in the Ft Morgan, Gulf Shorespart of Alabama. Our condo was clean, the rooms very spacious, and set up well for a rentalexperience. The balcony view was full of multi colored homes at the beach,and the ocean, an overwhelming site! It made me realize how much the Lordloves us, to give us that beauty, that calmness, the awe of creation there at us!The walk to the beach, a little over 5 minutes driving to public parking, maybea 10 minute walk or so.............was wonderful.We also had an opportunity to be on the roof of the condo building, and oh, my goodness, looking out across the water was amazing. It made for such a precious memory and will be in my heart for years to come. (We went several times beforeour stay was over.)If we decide to make that trip at some point in the future, this DUNES/INDIES CONDOMINIUM area will be where we plan to stay again. Also, the Security Lady, I believe her name was Shannon, was the best also. She wasvery friendly, such a pleasure to talk to and be around.

First family vacation

The host was excellent in responding. The overall property was under renovation so there were cranes in the front parking area. We couldn’t access the 8th floor to the rooftop patio. The condo was well worth the price. The pool and hot tub was great also. A short walk/drive to the beach. The beach was not overcrowded and well maintained. Just far enough away from the busy tourist area of Gulf Shores! Visited Fort Morgan but it rained on us as soon as we drove up. We would definitely visit again.

Great stay & communication

The owner was quick to respond to my messages and address any concerns appropriately. The condo had all the things we needed. It there were 6 people (2 kids under 5 and 4 adults) in our condo. We had plenty of space and could have easily lived with 2 more adults. The location to the beach was great with a short 5 minute walk from room to ocean. The pool was very nice with a 1 & 1/2 foot part ideal for toddlers/babies. The drive to restaurants, activities, and shopping was not unreasonable. I would stay at the condo again in the future.

Lovely Stay in Fort Morgan

We had a wonderful trip! The condo is just as advertised and had a lovely view of the gulf. The beach is a quick walk away, and you can’t beat the low crowds of Ft. Morgan. We will definitely be back!

Three friends came down for golf and beach.

Had a great stay. Group played golf and spent time at beach. Condo was clean and convenient for golf courses and great places to eat. If heavy traffic not your thing, then this is the place to be.
