Great beach access. Walkable to main area of folly but it is about a mile so depends on your idea of walkable. The place was very clean and nice!

This really was a jewel at Folly! Incredible location for the perfect accommodation for our moms and kids beach trip. Somehow this sweet little place didn’t feel little at all to us and it was comfortably stocked. Host was close on hand if we ever needed anything (we didn’t but it was good to know!). We’re already dreaming about our next stay at the Jewel!

My wife and I slept downstairs and are accustomed to white noise. Guests not used to constant noise may find the noise made by the unit’s return fan (near the doorway into the kitchen) undesirable.

Excellent experience overall

Beds were very comfortable; wish there had been a toilet/sink downstairs; Easy to get to the beach, return, rinse off; great grill; plenty of towels/washcloths; nice kitchen and table; good wi-fi; quiet place; highly recommended.

Great location!

What a perfect spot for a quick beach get-away! It is right across the street from a public access. As a rare bonus, they also have beach chairs and towels for guests! The host was EXTREMELY responsive and accommodating. One of the ACs went out early morning and by that afternoon it was replaced! Awesome little spot!

Close to the beach!

This house was very close to the beach and the property manager was quick to respond with any issues. The place was very clean and the outdoor shower was great to was the sand off after a day at the beach!

Location, location, location

This unit is literally across the street from the 7th street access, which can't be beat. It was clean, dog friendly, and affordable. The owner, Alicia, was incredibly responsive and friendly.

Graduation Weekend

My daughter graduated from college and we came down to visit my son for the weekend. Wonderful spot right next to the beach. Owner extremely accommodating and made our stay wonderful. I will definitely rent this place again! Thank you

The house was a good size for a family of four and in perfect proximity to the beach. It was well stocked with kitchen essentials and we were able to cook several meals, saving quite a bit of money. Parking was a little frustrating at times. While you have a dedicated off street parking spot, there were times when someone blocked us in or out. The public parking right out the front door was also inconvenient at times but really wasn't a big deal. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would stay here again if we returned.

Quick getaway

Me and the 2 girlfriends came down for a quick weekend trip. We had a great trip. The apartment was so close to the beach and the local strip with shops and restaurants. It’s a smaller apartment but fit us just fine :)

Grandparent trip

We brought our 14 year old granddaughter here. She wanted to learn to surf, learn some history and zip line. We did all plus more. We all love the ocean and walked piut our door, crossed the street and there it was. Great location. Everythng was clean and very nice. We had what we needed in the kitchen and plenty of towels and great beds. Hostesses was great and got back to us very quickly on questions we had. Great way to.experience Charleston and Folly Beach.

We are a small family business. Chastain's Cottages was started in the 1940's when Eula and Lois Chastain moved to Folly Beach from Thomasville GA. This home was build by them and originally had a store in it as well. Lunnette Kinard won the Miss Folly Beach pageant a few years ago (she is not telling the date!) and is still affectionately known as Miss Folly Beach by the locals. Alicia is 3rd generation and will be able to help answer any questions for you.
