Thank you for your review, but it’s too bad you haven’t identified yourself, as I have looked back at our guests during last summer and never received any negative feedback from anyone, actually the opposite, Everyone commenting how beautiful it is and how much they enjoyed their stay. We like to please our guests and try to adjust anything that is not satisfactory, so it would have been nice to have been able to have a conversation about your concerns and what you felt it lacked exactly. We take pride in providing a wonderful experience for our guests, so this is disappointing to have not been given a chance to do that for you. It is a log cottage, yes, so I am not sure what your experience with those is, but it got a complete renovation and overhaul in 2016 where we fully renovated both bathrooms adding a shower when it was only a bathtub previously and adding in laundry. The kitchen was completely renovated as well and the entire inside of the log was painted and sealed. We also changed all of the inside furniture, added the very modern deck space with a lake view, bbq and fire table! If you read the other reviews on here, you will see what we usually get as comments back about how beautiful it is and how much it has been updated while maintaining the charm and character of a log cottage. Perhaps you are more used to modern cottages, and after seeing that it is log during your research on our property prior to your stay, maybe you should not have booked it m, if that is not your preference. I don’t think it is fair to say that it wouldn’t take much to bring it up, that was already done, and it did take a lot of renovation and all of our other guests love it. We’re sorry that you didn’t, but I think it is you that needs to adjust your expectations or be more realistic about what you are looking for. Thank you, Lindsay & Kyle
