You never said a word to me. Communication would have went a long way. And what does a neighbor smoking on their own front front porch have to do with no parties allowed at my house? What??? That didn't even make sense. Sorry the wind blew in your direction that day. Wow. Neighborhood not described in listing? Ummmm not even sure what that meant either. It's St. Louis City at the edge of the Grove as stated. If you don't know the city you are visiting; do research prior to traveling. That's on you if you don't like the city you visited. Not on me. I've lived here 58 years. Older home? Ummm yes that's also in the listing 100 year old home on the Historic Registry. Pictures in the listing if the bathroom and a note saying Clearly that if you are a larger person the bathroom may not be right for you. YOUR FAULT you didn't read the listing or research the city you decided to stay in and for whatever reason you had an issue with older communities or maybe you have issue with the mixed culture of different people I guess. Not really sure what went wrong here on this one. Again communication is key. Can't fix what i don't know about. That's why several guests in a row could stay and be an issue in not aware of because of lack of communication. People just want to trash someone they don't know fir whatever reason like this is social media or something.

I'm kind of disappointed i got an 8 instead of 10 because felt it was small when the sq ftg was noted in the listing as 900 sq ft. 2 bedroom/1 bath plus photos provided not I'm glad you enjoyed you were pleased otherwise.

FUNNY how when a guest don't get their way they just lie instead. The only true statement in this whole thing was the neighbor was in a Verbal dispute with her teenage son and I made a call and that was over IMMEDIATELY. She just stayed at my home weeks prior and she left me a 10 star review. See reviews for her name. The truth is she was sensitive and suffered from anxiety and the argument she heard bothered her and she asked for refund and Told No by Vrbo and myself unless the issue happened again. I monitored camera for hours to be sure. All good. Only heard birds singing. She never complained about Anything else on arrival about any smell etc. She was given the code at 12:05 because Mo has a no cell phone law while driving and took a minute to get pulled over. She wasn't even at the home for another 45 minutes Per her own statement and cameras. Her message was hey just checking to see if home ready yet; we aren't there yet. We are at Union Station but just checking. I messaged her check in info within a few minutes. That was Huge exaggeration of the facts. Then on faucet. She didn't mention she couldn't get it to work super late at night. I could not get it fixed in the middle of the night. I called a 24 hr place. They did say couldn't get to it for a few days. So i advised her I was contacting a family member to come fix it. My brother who manages a huge contracting company came out guest thing in morning at 8am. He got it to engage but he did replace it arrive a challenge. The previous guest child had broke the knob part is all that happened so had to push it in with finger. Not my fault and definitely didn't deserve a 2 rating because she wanted to be a drama queen. I offered to refund one night but she filed a false claim to Vrbo saying home was a mess and smelled like smoke and lies lies trying to force them to force them to refund everything including their fees etc but Vrbo refused too because they read our messages and I sent them the video/audio about neighbor etc. And the guest refused to cancel the reservation so I could even refund her for the 1 night she didn't use so there was nothing I could do. Even Vrbo said No the guest is still in the home. I advised them that the guest messaged me late at night that they had already left. I checked cams and they had already left before ever even saying anything to anyone about anything. She got to check in 5 hours early also and stayed all day and into the night and then Decided to do something different and not tell anyone till after the fact. So No she got nothing back by her own actions. No cancelation. No conversation with me. Only lies to Vrbo later. Anyone can see my reviews on Vrbo and other booking sites are perfect. Of course always a couple people out there that retaliate when they don't get their way like a child. She had it in her head since the neighbor dispute that she didn't want to stay and she was gonna say anything to make that happen with a full refund and it back fired on her because Vrbo verifies Everything. I provided full detailed video of the home prior to her arrival. The key here on this review is Read get previous review when she just stayed weeks prior and Loved everything and she wouldn't have booked again if all that were true.

I'm so sorry that you were concerned about the neighborhood and bathroom. I do have the information about the bathroom in the listing as well as seen in photos. I will review the listing to be clearer if I need to. In regard to the neighborhood. That's nothing specific to our neighborhood. That is commonplace St. Louis, Mo. St. Louis is on the high end for crime, especially in the middle of the night and at gas stations as the entire basic parts of the city close early and has curfew for the youngins for that reason. Typically a community issue and non tourist related. This neighborhood is not next to the BP in reference but it is a few miles up the road and that BP is next to a major highway that runs from New York to St. Louis to Chicago to California which is why there is a police officer. It's to help you feel more secure & we are all halt they are there so we all have a safe place to go. I do understand your anxiety about the area of you aren't familiar with the city of St. Louis. It's a quiet street that everyone walks their dogs down the sidewalks and say hello. Not a scary place at all. Also back yard is fenced with 6 ft privacy on one side with elderly woman next door and the other side is 8 ft chainlink fence with privacy screen with a family. Both have security cameras the same as I and we all watch out for each other as we all can see almost all the way down the street. Didn't mean to sound like rant. Just want other guests to understand the environment they are reading about in this review. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed my home. We would love to have you back and hope you would feel safer the next time knowing it's not like it seemed and that's a norm in the entire city in all areas no matter where you book. The listing clearly says 2 bedrooms/2 beds. It says plus pack n play and child cots making it available for 5. Said also can sleep on sofa if you want... NOTHING about a futon available. Says sofa and that's the reason there is a sign in unit cause of people like you. There is no futon. The sofa has screws running thru the base voiding the futon because people were tearing up the furniture and wall. Like you said; your booking was for 4; not 5. In regard to a locked door and other people. The door you are referencing goes to the maintenance area and yes its a double sided locked access. The home is a multi family home converted several years ago and no direct link to you. There entrance is 100 feet away from yours on their own sidewalk with their own gate and their own address. My unit Clearly startes this other unit as well so if you heard plumbing early in the morning when maintenance was in the unit at the start of his work day then that's why as the listing states. You DIDN'T read it. Notice all the other guests that stayed before and after you DID. We spoke by messaging and none of this an issue till your Review. Your actual issue you didn't read the listing and you mad at yourself and you looked like a fool in front of your guests so you blamed me. Prayers for you to become a better; more honest person.
