Settle into Sea Ranch at this cozy 1-bedroom house for two with calming sea views. You’ll be near the ocean and close to the laid-back coastal town of Gualala—perfect for a peaceful Mendocino Coast escape.



The Space:

Designed for a quiet couple’s retreat, this comfortable 1-bed, 1-bath home offers a simple, relaxing home base. The bedroom features a queen bed and a soothing electric fireplace for cozy evenings. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower makes freshening up easy after days exploring the coast.

Step outside to the outdoor seating area and take in the sea views and coastal air. Parking is a breeze with space for two vehicles in the driveway.

Important Things to Note

• Parking: Upon turning right onto the driveway, this home is the first on the left. Driveway parking is available for up to 2 vehicles.

• Connectivity: Due to Sea Ranch’s remote location, Wi‑Fi and cell service throughout the area can be spotty or occasionally unavailable—this is a common experience for visitors across town.

• Pet policy: No pets are allowed at this home.

• Check in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee or approve early check in or late checkout requests in advance.

• We recommend considering travel insurance, just in case any unexpected changes come up. We do stick to our cancellation policy and want to make sure you're covered!

• We provide bedding, towels and a small starter set of essentials to help get you settled. Feel free to message us for details on what’s included.

• Salt, pepper, and cooking oil are not provided unless otherwise noted.



Getting Around:

Within a 5-minute drive of 34025 South Highway 1, visitors can explore Gualala Point Regional Park’s trails and river estuary, take in expansive ocean views and whale watching from the Gualala Bluff Trail, or enjoy family time at the Gualala Community Center park and nearby sandy beaches.

The cabin and location were fine. Cabin was very clean. However, there is no cell phone service, and the internet did not work until we were more than halfway through our stay. The TV never did work. We had to go into town to be able to communicate with the rental agency and even though they gave instructions on how to reset everything we had to go back into town to communicate more. (We are very tech savvy and had already tried all of their suggestions.) They finally sent a person to try to fix everything but he was unable to get anything working. Several of the batteries for the remote controls for the fireplace and lights were dead and the repair person didn't have replacements. The heat is only from electrical fireplaces is barely adequate.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. We walked the bluffs each day and often stopped at the Sea Ranch Lodge (20 minutes south) for an afternoon treat. We went to the Annapolis winery, the chapel and several stops in Gualala for food and galleries. It’s a wonderful place to unwind in natures beauty.

Wonder Experience on the Pacific

My wife and I loved our time in the cabin. It was clean and comfortable. Most importantly, it had a beautiful view of the Pacific, whether you were looking from the large front window or relaxing on the deck. The cabin was also a wonderful starting point to explore Mendocino County. The folks at the Anchor Bay store were extremely helpful and kind. I would highly recommend the Hi-Tor cabin.

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here, everything was clean, comfortable, and the view was very nice. Enjoyed the jetted tub, great for relaxing after a lot of activities.

Great place

We loved this house! It was exactly as showed on the photos. Beautiful ocean views from every room, clean and the perfect size for 2 adults and 2 kids. In the woods but close to supermarket and beach acres. You can’t walk to the beach but it’s like a 5 min drive. House is well equipped and Wi-Fi works great. My only wish that check out would be at 11 am not 20 am. We had a lot of fun and planning to return here. Everything was really perfect!

Nice and functional home

Great views on the ocean from multiple places, also on the forest behind. Everything is very functional and in good shape. Terrific location, although you can't walk to the ocean. Minor caveats: terrible wifi and no dishwasher.

Great weekend getaway

I needed a quick weekend getaway from Napa, and this house was in the perfect location. I could pop up north to explore Mendocino, or head south to explore Sea Ranch. The home itself was well appointed and looked just like the photos. Everything was clean, and working. The view was nice, and when I open the windows or sat on the deck I could hear waves, birds, and even seals barking. Kitchen was set up well. The jetted tub worked great and made for a nice soak at the end of a day of exploring. I'd book this place again.

Great Weekend Getaway

Property is very well maintained! It was easy to check in and out and the amenities, rooms, etc. were as described. The views are amazing and it was fun to just chill on the deck and enjoy the birds and surroundings.

Lovely stay

An excellent quiet relaxing holiday. Beautiful 'cabin' with everything you'll need in the kitchen, spa tub, majestic views & great location for hikes, dining & hanging with the locals. Trying to carve our another spot on the calendar for the next trip. Tip, leave no food out on the counter. There's a bit of an ant issue.

Comforts of Home But Nicer View!

This property was very comfortable and had many extra features like heated bathroom floor, jetted tub, electronic fireplaces, extra TVs, mirrored closet doors, and full laundry. The wood flooring throughout was very nice as well as the wood ceiling and dim-able lighting everywhere. We enjoyed our stay and found ourselves returning earlier each day after adventures to just sit and relax and look out on the ocean.

Beautiful little cottage

One of the Very BEST Rental Homes I've Ever Rented

This home is beautiful and there were no surprises because the home was exactly as shown in the pictures (this is not always the case). The home was EXCEPTIONALLY clean. The decor was just perfect - not too much, it felt like a home and the colors were just enough. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone that is going to visit the Mendocino coast. Lots of attractions are nearby, A-1 restaurants are in the area. Great place to stay and visit the northern California coast.

Beautiful location & great service!

We truly enjoyed our stay at High Tor Upper house. It was beautifully done and better than expected. Spacious and comfortable with full size kitchen. Spectacular views of ocean. I contacted customer service 3x in advance to ask questions about property, each time they responded quickly and courteous. While listing on some sites ommited coffe maker, they had 2 - a standard drip and coffee press. Full amenities! Only thing missing was grill, but with fire season becoming so serious here in CA, it was understandable and we had no problem with not having grill. We will definitely book another trip here!
