Hi! The home is 0.1 mile walk (2 minutes!) walk to ocean AND sound. It boasts brand new decks, doors, windows and precious pink siding! Our fully stocked kitchen will have you cooking chef-inspired meals and our large driveway is big enough for a boat.

Located in the quiet heart of the Crystal Coast, you won't have to compete for the perfect beach spot. This home is outfitted with EVERYTHING you will need to relax! It has a fully stocked kitchen with appliances like an ice cream maker and Kitchenaid mixer, enough plates to serve the army and 2 sets of cookware - one nonstick and one stainless. In the storage room you will find beach chairs, kayaks, and Yeti coolers. High speed WiFi included for streaming your favorite shows or setting up the "out of office" you forgot to post before you left.

See photos for boat parking availability. Driveway is wide enough for 2 vehicles side by side. Parking area has been extended to area in front of the steps. Photos show our Mini Cooper for scale.

Wash used beach towels and return them to their location (in bag by door). If used, please return the cover to the fire pit and grill.
In the Spring and Summer, please set the thermostat to 76 degrees on the “Cool” setting. In the Fall and Winter, set the thermostat to 63 on the “Heat” setting.

A lovely little cottage that finally got a new deck and some new paint. However, everything else was starting to show its age from when it belonged to the prior owners.

We had a fabulous girls trip! The kitchen was stocked wonderfully. The beds and linens were very nice. Would highly recommend for any type of vacation.

This place was great, we've gone to Emerald Isle at least every other year since I was a kid. Driving from the northeast, the biggest issue was packing all our stuff for a week at the beach. These guys have everything ready and on good condition, towels, beach chairs, beach cart, canoes, etc. they have a great place and keep it well stocked, read the description before you pack!

Kate's Cottage was perfect for our family of four - lots of comfortable private and family space. My two picky girls gave it a big thumbs up!Our host, Jessica, was very quick to respond and accommodating with our questions.Comfy, clean, bonus items to enjoy the great outdoors, great location on Emerald Isle, and more.

Cute and very convenient. The home was nice and there were a surprising number of accommodations left by the owners. We already own beach equipment but it was very nice to have everything we need more already available and at our disposal. A great home base to return to after hours upon hours of beach time

Great location the house was a short walk across the street, which we never had any trouble crossing at all, to a beautiful quiet beach. ( Even on Memorial Day) There were plenty of beach supplies, as well as a fully stocked kitchen with enough pots, pans and dishware to cook and feed a huge group. House was extremely clean. Comfortable bed. We were very happy with our stay.

Cute and clean! Very convenient location despite not being ‘on the beach’ - it was a very short walk to the public access. 1 short block. We didn’t take the kayaks out but they looked to be in great shape.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay with just a few minor issues. Furnishings are very comfortable. Main TV was unwatchable due to a memory error, master bathtub didn’t drain properly, outdoor trash receptacle was insufficient for a week stay, and house had no numbers on it making it difficult to find, especially in the rain. Otherwise, it was a good stay, and we enjoyed our time.

Amanda, I am sorry for any trouble you encountered. You made no effort to contact us regarding any issues you experienced, therefore we could not correct them. You were informed trash and recycling services both run twice a week, plenty often for the large cans provided. Our housekeepers found the home left in horrible condition following your stay, including purple hair dye on many surfaces and huge amounts of trash left behind leading us to believe you did not roll the cans out once.

Kate’s Cottage was a lovely space

The house was clean, the linens were very nice, and the beds were impressively comfortable for a VRBO. The location is bayside on the main road, so any outdoor activity has traffic noise to contend with but inside was quiet. Easy beach access and not too crowded. Bayside has a boat launch on same block. I think we may have been the first guests since the property changed hands so there were some minor issues which were dealt with promptly and are unlikely to affect future guests. Kitchen was incredibly well stocked with every appliance imaginable. The only drawback was the exterior wooden deck was old with lots of splintered wood and jutting nails so I would avoid bare feet. Thanks to the new owners for a really lovely stay.

Fabulous location with everything you need to enjoy a beach vacation. The communication was prompt and accurate, the cottage was as described. The beach access is nearby and is amazing. I would certainly stay here again!

We ended our vacation with a short 2 day stay here.. it really made the vacation worthwhile! I own/operate and manage several dozen short/mid/long term rentals so I’m very familiar with this industry. These owners do an excellent job and cover all the bases to create the proper experience you’re paying for when booking a vacation rental. Great location, property and communication.. Highly recommend!

This place is a true gem. Host is attentive to furnishings. Nice kitchen amenities were appreciated, including KitchenAid Mixer, Calphalon, SHARP knives, commercial icemaker. Kayaks were easy to transport to the sound. Host was prompt and responsive. Everything was as represented. Hope to stay here next year.

Cozy and clean home with a close walk to a beautiful beach! The whole home is fully stocked with everything you need to stay. Beds were comfortable too! A quick drive to restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
