We had such a wonderful experience. It wasn’t like we were at a VRBO…it was like we were visiting a friends home for the holidays. All the little extras including being decorated for Christmas made our time in CO for my grand daughter’s first Christmas that much more special. Thank you for being an amazing host. I will not hesitate to look your property up again in the future.

Home is absolutely beautiful! Five of us stayed here for my daughter's wedding. We all had a great time. The house is so cozy, welcoming and quiet. The bedrooms are all spacious and warm. Conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants and whatever else you need!!! I highly recommend staying here! I told several people at the wedding about it and if they ever need a place for visitors this is it! I've stayed in a lot of vrbos. This is by far the best I've ever stayed in!

VRBO could easily use this home as advertisement for the ideal of what a host might offer. Anything we wanted or needed was there. We never needed to contact host for anything because it all went smoothly and they had anticipated every question. It was spotless and beautiful! Beds were very comfy! Nice neighborhood! And generous snacks, which we ate all of…oink, oink!

We had a great stay here with our big family (6 kids). There were plenty of beds for everyone and I appreciated the kids toy closet that helped entertain our one year olds. Our kids also really enjoyed playing in the backyard. There is a great running trail 0.5 mile away that I used several times. You can tell John and Wendy are old pros at hosting and have thought about nearly everything you could need for a great stay!

Wendy & John -- your home is Fabulous and Comfy! We highly recommend to all. While there were just five adults for our stay; the home is plenty big to accommodate larger families. It is Extremely Clean and Well Organized!! Which we all truly appreciated. The extra special touches of the candies and snacks placed for us were thoroughly enjoyed. The home is very well stocked with items such as paper towels, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, towels, cooking supplies, games, and so much more. Having a large washer and a dryer on site is also a plus. If you are traveling with babies or young kiddos this home is stocked and ready for them too. The binder with the information on check in/out also gives helpful info on local attractions and dining. The location is great too. While the owners do live on site, they are very quiet and our paths never crossed. This home is one of the very best VRBO stays we have had. I could just go on and on with praise and compliments. Wendy & John are excellent hosts. Our vacation was great, and this welcoming home is one of the reasons. We will definitely stay here again on future travels to Colorado Springs. Felt like home

Incredible vacation rental that felt just like being at home. House was beautiful and the inside lovely. All the interior furnishings made the place very comfortable and relaxing. The nature of our stay didn’t allow to truly enjoy all the amenities. When communicating with the owners their responses were always prompt and pleasant. Will definitely try to rent this place again on our next trip to Colorado Springs.

Spring Break Fun

This house was great! It’s plenty big enough and clean. We loved the extra special touches of the candies and snacks that were placed around. Also plenty of items like paper towels, toilet paper, all kinds of condiments and cooking supplies. The location was great for all things Colorado Springs. One of the best stays we’ve had in a VRBO! With that all being said, please note that as stated in the description the owners sometimes do stay in the basement living area during your stay. This is not a complaint just more of an observation. They are totally quiet and we did not even have any times where paths crossed. One thing worth mentioning though is when they are there and they cook, the smell will drift up into the house. Again not a complaint but make sure you know this before agreeing to rent. Still with all that we loved it and would stay again.

Simply AMAZING!!!

The home and the owners were just amazing. We traveled to the area to visit our son currently stationed near the area. We traveled over Christmas and the owners had the home so beautifully decorated for the holiday! It was fantastic from start to finish! Beautiful home! They even left us several snack baskets with little snacks and treats that everyone enjoyed. They asked for recommendations for anything that could be improved and I could Not think of a single thing. We cooked several meals and they had every item we could possibly need. Plenty of towels, blankets. EVERYTHING! We will definitely be back and we will definitely stay here again!!

Comfy Like Home

Wendy and John are superb hosts!! Although we never met them, we felt like we were good friends over for a visit. The kitchen was pristine, organized, and stocked with many of the basics if you wanted to cook or entertain. The house was cozy and relaxing. There were snacks provided for nibbling. We stayed in December, a tree was up with Christmas decorations around the home. All of this was perfect! Our family had come to Colorado with my mother to visit our daughter who is a performer, she was in town for a few months performing. It meant so much for all of us to be together as a family, in a warm inviting home during the holidays while we were all so far from our own homes. We all had a memorable stay. Love and thanks!

Gold Standard!!

John and Wendy are the Gold standard hosts on VRBO! We have stayed at many VRBO Properties that have been nice but none have been as well thought out for the guests! We watch Vacation House Rules and one of their bulletin points is Be Your Guest. John and Wendy have totally embraced this motto for their property! From the variety of waters in the fridge, to the breakfast bar selection, to the individual bags of chips available, to a FULLY stocked kitchen, extra linens, additional items in the medicine cabinets, assortment of games, baby supplies and the list goes on! Everything is clearly labeled to make navigating the lights, fireplace and TVs very easy! The property is super clean with supplies available if you need them during your stay. The location is great! It’s very near shopping and a ton of restaurants.

John is a native of Colorado and works at Focus on the Family (a local ministry) & Wendy works part-time at the US Air Force Academy. We love to travel to new places and are avid cruisers! We also enjoy hiking, walking, reading and hanging out with friends and visiting our grandchildren who all live in CO.
We have had our vacation rental for over 8 years & love hosting families & groups. We don't always meet our guests face to face, but when we do we are always happy to chat and answer any questions they have 😄

Our vacation rental is located in a safe, upscale neighborhood close to pocket parks and a green belt with a walking / biking path. It is also close to dozens of amazing restaurants, coffee shops, great shopping, Gripstone Climbing Gym, a Miniature Golf Course, Sports events & an IMAX Theater. It is less than a 30 minute drive to Garden of the Gods, USAF Academy, Peterson AFB & the Olympic Training Center.
The second level boasts amazing views of the majestic Front Range mountains! We chose this house partially because of the spacious Master suite which has a King bed size bed, walk-in closet, spacious bathroom with 2 sinks, a shower and a soaking tub. Also located on the upper level are 3 Bedrooms with fabulous Mt. Views, a spacious bathroom with 2 sinks, a tub/shower combo, and a laundry room.
The main level offers a bedroom with a Queen size bed, large dresser and bookcase. It is conveniently located next to the half bath. Also located on the main level is the Eat-in Kitchen, Family room, Dining room and Living room. The well designed Kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and large pantry. The Kitchen opens to the Family room which has 2 couches, a love seat recliner, a flip-the-switch fireplace and 65" Smart TV.
The separate Dining room is conveniently located between the Kitchen and Living room and has a table that seats 8 people. The Living room offers dozens of games along with a comfortable couch and 2 fun swivel chairs. Also located in the Living room is an electric, hi-tech sit / stand office desk with USB ports and a phone charger.
The brand new, larger deck (currently not pictured), is located directly off the Kitchen and has dinette set for 6 with comfortable cushions (located in the deck box) and an umbrella to shade the sun : ) We also have a picnic area for our guest in the backyard w/ a picnic bench and umbrella!
